I really don't see what the fuss over Drow is. She was definitely too strong when she had the global push, but now that's been removed, she doesn't have anything that makes her particularly good besides the large amount of free DPS. Kind of like Shadow Fiend, except without the AOE ability and a total no-brainer to play.

That's exactly why she does well in pubs, she's a carry that doesn't need items to do well. But her lategame DPS really hasn't even been buffed much compared to old drow.
I do not comprehend it either, which is why it bothers me.

My track record with Nature's Prophet continues to be absurdly high. I love Nature's Profit so much not just because I enjoy the character, but just knowing it's a high tier hero makes it all the better. It gets even funnier that my last match was 60-29. I managed to get first blood, and things just went downhill for the other team. It's even funnier that I can probably count on two hands how many times I escaped death by Sprouting around myself, and Teleporting back to base. It got even better when I was holding onto Agahnim's, Orchid, Daedalus, Midas, Power Treads, AND Desolator at level 21. We had a max level Faceless Void. You can take a wild guess how badly faces got rolled with dat Chronosphere.

549 gold/min that game with NP. Getting there. Yeeeeaaaaahhh!

If you want, match ID was 117855575.

Actually for me, I find Hard bots both really stupid and also really evil. They don't really do much if you harass them repeatedly, but the moment you get within range of 2 or more of the bots, their intelligence seems to skyrocket for each additional enemy bot within range of each other, and they deal really insidious killer combos that'll kill you. However, they are really terrible in pushing and jungling. Matter of fact, one game it was just me trying out Invoker and a Drow Ranger. The other 3 on my team rage quit, supposedly leaving us alone against 5 bots. Turns out we ended up winning because The other 3 bots went inactive, and we roflstomped the bots.

Bots are stupid throughout the game, they just have the ability to coordinate stuns to make up for it.

Soon, ChrisC will have perfected the bots. Soon...

    EDIT:
    oh, here's something kinda cool.
    http://calvert.ch/dota/dota_map.jpg
25 megapixel version of the map. The guy who made it had a 100 megapixel version but that's just silly.

Couldn't have said it better myself. That's pretty much the bots in a nutshell.

Oh god, not sure if want super intelligent bots to fight.

Syllabear too insane with a proper snowballing. It's really scary what a hard carry is capable of. I was also getting a Butterfly Dagger delivered to me as I was in their base, so I would have been even more unstoppable. Matches like these also make me so proud to play well.

I'm glad so many SP people play Dota 2!

I play too many games and still suck :(

  12. Default Re: DotA2

Yea, i am quite happy more people here are playing Dota 2, felt so empty when it was just me and Dusk posting occasionally.

I also personally think that i still suck and have a lot i can improve on. But now uni is starting to take time again making it more convenient to just watch streams and tournaments whilst working on course work.

Sylla bear is actually not a hard carry! But yea, he can definitely snowball and become strong, but lategame against real hard carries his bear kind of melts due to not benefitting from stats which also limits what items it can utilize. And syllabear himself kind of just turns into a big meat-shield that with items can deal okay damage, but nothing amazing. He is a carry best utilized for pushing though <: But yea pretty nice win indeed, your team didn't seem to do too well overall besides maybe drow, so well played!

    Also:

I don't know how many south perrians watch streams, but recently a certain streamer better known as sing_sing has started streaming his scrims, he is deleting them after playing them due to the enemy team not wanting it to be available as a VOD for other teams to study, but if anyone is interested in what goes on in the chat of a relatively high tier team(Their team is still in its infancy, so they still have some clear cut mistakes that they are working on) you should tune into his steam, definitely.
    And he's a funny guy.

He now has to face the truth that it was a terrible idea.

Oh snap. Just a semi-carry/tank I see. It's still really good though to see everything fixated on beating me down when I have a Vlad's for lifesteal and both buffs up. That just means everyone will try to destroy my 69% damage reduction or waste time beating up my bear, while the rest of my team pick off targets. It's kind of amusing how all my best played heroes seem to mostly be nature based. I now have got to try out Windrunner. She seriously seems like Drow but with more utility.

  14. Default Re: DotA2

Oh, no, not semi-carry. Just carry.
Sylla is insanely strong, but due to being melee and having relatively poor scaling outside of 12 item slots, he just falls off in the lategame compared to real hard carries(Medusa, faceless void etc.)
Due to how amazing sylla's abilities make him early on he's one of the strongest if not the strongest laner in the game in general. With a few quick items he can 5-man with his teams and wreck towers and heroes.
But yea, bear quickly becomes an easy pick-off in the lategame and druid himself doesn't have the best scaling either. But he's an amazing hero lategame regardless. One won fight and you push down everything at once.

Also WR is an awesome hero. Can be played at nearly any role.

And, unless valve quickfixed it Zeus is currently bugged, can't target him with attacks or spells. Zeus 2 stronk.

I hate Leaver .... each time ppl leave the game i come to watch this video

    Spoiler

Haha, I don't see many leavers in Dota 2. That video isn't even sufficient to capture how awful the leaver situation was in the days of Warcraft III DotA. It's annoying when it happens in Dota 2, but you'd be happy to get a single 20 minute+ game without a leaver in an afternoon of playing on WC3.

The worst was when people were really mad and PP'd, "pulled plug". That meant that everyone had to wait like 45s or something for the servers to resolve the connection problem after which they'd just disconnect.

Will have to watch that later. Leavers are indeed pure evil and a real pain to deal with.

Sidenote, tried Windrunner. I am really loving her ability to escape a melee death. I admit though she isn't really capable of great damage, but her Powershot helps in harassing, and words can't describe how amazing Shackleshot is. Sometimes that one stun is all I need for my teammates to completely destroy the enemy. It's also not TOO hard to land a proper Shackleshot. 3.75 stuns too OP with a Troll Warlord as the carry. She's also pretty cool as support with Pipe/Mech/Tranquil Boots. Buffer + heals + mana = good times.

PS, is it just me or are Hard bots REALLY good at denying now? I couldn't really auto-attack a creep for gold. Ever.
