Last night, while playing with Dusk and Chrome, Blink Dagger was useful very-late game, there are no trees in the enemy's base :(
Both games, I guess it's useful to save for one in the end :P

Two games in a row, bad choices made. Picked, Anti-Mage while we had no supports and ranged. Tried to middle with a Drow as my opponent, ended up feeding her and everyone else wasn't faring as well as the whole team was a good 5-7 levels above all of us. I try to jungle, they somehow already knew I'd be there; they gave me absolutely no chance to get a Battlefury. 2nd game had an utterly terrible Nature's Prophet that wasn't even using his trees like crazy, and was pretty much feeding. Everyone kept gunning for me when they realized I had a Gem of True Sight to try to stop their Riki and Broodmother. Really discouraged to do anymore games for today. Haven't been this mad at a game in a while.

It happens at all levels of play sadly, i've been playing exclusively AR lately and the experience is a lot better for me.
And yea, anti-mage is too reliant on getting a quick bfury, can hurt if you don't get it.

On another note, had a game where i was MVP on my team with Jakiro. We were trilaning and somehow i ended up with the highest K:D:A AND highest XPM by simply roaming and ganking 24/7.
End score for me was: 17-5-32
I was murdering their drow pretty badly too with necronomicon + liquid fire, allowed me to beat her in 1v1 due to her lack of farm from our constant pushes.

Game ended with dark seer vaccuming everyone into my ult and icepath. Everyone ded.
Was fun, jakiro is one of my favourite supports.
Just checked the game again, i also had highest GPM, what the pineapple.
Like seriously, it doesn't make sense, i was supporting ursa in a trilane.
Most of my last hits came from when we were pushing and i used AOE to push.

All Random recently came out and it's awesome. A lot of the stupid stuff that happens in all pick doesn't in all random, at least not too bad. People accept what they're given and there's no 5 carries with no one willing to play support. Though it's possible to get an awful team in random (I haven't personally) you can repick for another random hero, giving a pretty good chance to at least make a reasonable line-up. Everyone gets random gold so you're gonna get a courier (unless someone is just stupidly stubborn, but then again you can afford to get it yourself). I also find that the general attitude of the player is better. Of course there are the ragers all of the time but from what I've experienced most of the people are pretty reasonable. I guess a lot of the idiots don't want to play a game type they can't only play their "good" heroes.

I pretty much never get an all-carry team because I play support 90% of the time and my friend that I play with a lot will also pick to the team's needs. We usually have a decent team composition if the other three are somewhat competent, and courier and wards are always bought at my level. For me, All Random means terrible team compositions where people don't know how to play the hero they're given.

I'm guessing that set up is meant for very experienced players, you'd have to be comfortable with every hero to know that you can do well there.
I don't think it's the line up that usually loses games, at least in my experience, it's carries that can't farm. That's the main reason why I don't play carries, it's still hard for me to get decent farm and support don't need that many items/farm.
Also, last night game with Chrome and Dusk and his friend almost all of us were support... well, support/carry for some but still. The line up wasn't bad, but I think it's how you guys played that won us the game.

EDIT: I hate how people abuse bot games to win. They know bots won't do much so they can spend all day jungling... 50 minutes jungling to get all their items. If I just wanted an easy win I'd go easy bot games. I'm trying to learn how some easy carry heroes work and how hard it is to farm/get kills on some of them and that attitude just doesn't help. I like Drow Ranger and Sniper so far, they're easy to farm with and to get kills. I can't get used to melee heroes, they get harrased so easily, especially with plantain teammates.

Also if you want to learn some easy melee heroes you should try playing N'aix. Such a beast in lane and if you combo him with nearly anything it's a free kill. N'aix + AA is especially cruel. pineapple ton of bonus damage from chilling touch and cold feet is 100% guaranteed to proc unless it's a hero with a blink or leap or weaver/darkseer.
Other 'easy' melee carries include Chaos knight, dragon knight(what is harrass lel), night stalker(Not really a carry in the natural sense, but he's so strong in lane with amazing base stats.
Especially dragon knight, all you do is max flame breath and dragon's blood with one point in dragon tail, leave ult at level 1 untill you can get level 3 ult(The poison is 2 gud for pushing towers).
Get a soulring and couple that with dragon's blood and you got infinite mana for your flame breath spam, makes him a good mid hero as well, it can harass and push lane at the same time, although if you're mid you can go for bottle over soul ring if you're sure you can control the runes.

Oh and for people familiar with YaphetS/PIS (Legendary solo mid player and literally the best shadow fiend player ever, in DotA1 shadow fiend's for fun name was YaphetS)

Weird part is that this video is quite mediocre for YaphetS, his play in competitive games was leagues above this.

The team will be playing DotA1 for now but might expand into Dota2.

Hearing YaphetS return makes me miss how swag shadow fiend was in DotA1.

It was a fun game with you guys. My apologies on my deaths though, I died 8 times that match trying to jungle and stop the enemy from killing Roshan. The good news though, Agahnims + Nature's Wrath made mob destroying oh so easy.

Indeed, it was fun. Don't worry about your deaths... I could've helped most of the times but I just wasn't there. Still, I don't think you should try stopping them alone unless you are certain you can survive or there's some else that can help you. But yeah, the jungling part was quite annoying of them.

EDIT: I'm in need of a new mouse, the old one I had died a week ago or so... it was comfortable and I liked it. I had another mouse stored for when that happened, but it sucks and it's already dying: it stops responding every now and then. I changed its batteries already but it still happens, which annoys the hell out of me when playing.
What kind of mouse do you guys use?

I'll see which mouse I prefer next week once I pay credit card bill. I hate its low limit sometimes. If I decide for a Razer I hope the shipping rates aren't insane and that they don't take forever.

Also, last 3 games were awful, especially the one in which Tide Hunter died and quit. Or the one in which I miss-placed the wards... I'll watch vids and practice alone until I memorize the spots.
The other two were just as annoying and I felt so useless and feeding and ugh.
I didn't really like Random Draft, I don't know every hero and having last pick just messes it up more. The game where I picked Dazzle I felt forced to because I didn't even know him (but asumed it was the easiest for me) and the other Heroes I didn't know/ I know they're really difficult to play. The second game, picking Treant was rather stupid... the team might've done better with a different support hero... Almost 200 hours played and I feel just as bad as when I first started.

Believe me, you might not notice it, but you are improving yourself most definitely. You should try playing all random for some bot games, forces you to try a lot of new pomegranate and allows you to get a good idea of what every single hero does.

There's also the AZ challenge, pick all heroes in alphabetic order from A to Z.

I love how people still whine about drow and think she's broken and way too strong.
Especially the people using winrates as an argument.

Clearly warlock is the best hero in dota. Followed by drow and zeus.

Basically, i'm tired of playing against a drow and if we lose they'll blame drow as a hero. Same with if i have a drow on MY team enemies will peach about the drow.
