They supposedly made a change to the way bots last hit/deny in the recent patch. I haven't noticed a difference, though.
Powershot actually does pretty high damage for a nuke and has really long range, so it is good for killing escaping enemies. Windrunner can be played as a semi-carry as well; her stats are decent, her 1.5 Base Attack Time is basically a passive 13% multiplied attack speed buff, her 100% evasion for 5 seconds can make her very tanky in a mid-game teamfight (until the enemy hard carry gets a MKB), and her ult hurts pretty badly with a damage item or two. She's extremely versatile.

Also holy pineapple Tuskarr is 10 times funnier than i remembered.
WALRUS PUNCH!!!
Well for me I'm definitely noticing that pretty much every time a creep gets to that tiny sliver of health, BOOM! Denied. It's quite ridiculous when the bots are able to last hit and chain attack/stun at scary speeds, but are still rather easy to kill when they're alone.
Dusting Doppelwalk is a jerk move for bots to do?
Also, I wonder how strong/good Tusk is. STR heroes I find are usually in the middle when it comes to power/utility.
Doppelwalk creates an illusion of phantom lancer that walks the path he is walking, but makes phantom lancer invisible as well. You can't know if a PL used doppelwalk and bots using dust anytime he doppelwalks is just weird, because they don't know that he used it, or atleast, they shouldn't know.
Tusk is a strong hero, he'll primarily be used as a 4th position support in professional games, that or maybe an offensive trilane farmer. He could mid as well.
But he's so strong in trilanes that he'll definitely be utilized when he's enabled, i'm sure.
Also dat voice and all those punch lines:
15/10 voicework, go to around 13 minutes for the punch lines.
In public games however, i'd always go mid with tusk and i'd build items like:
Phase boots, drums, medallion/urn probably rush a bottle and then go shadow blade and start ganking like bad. After that i'd probably build items like necronomicon, vlads(If needed), assault cuirass and other auras and stuff, maybe an abyssal blade if it goes late enough. But overall, i'd go for boosting his surviveability whilst adding auras to the teamfights and necronomicon fits him because his snowball allows for tusks own units to travel with it as well.
4th position support? What are the top 3 supports? Just wondering.
Oh, I checked out the DoTACinema video on what his abilities are capable of doing. Snowball sounds mighty hilarious, and Ice Shards has gotta be very evil way to screw up an enemy's escape. Sigil seems really nice, but of course must not let enemies kill the sigil for free gold. As for the ultimate, not sure how powerful that can be. Can you pre-cast Walrus Punch, and Snowball into the enemy to ensure a Walrus Punch?? He definitely seems a lot more powerful after seeing what his skills can do. Does Snowball help with any mobility issues he may have, or does he still need a Blink Dagger?
4th position as a support. 1 2 3 4 5 refer to farm priority. So he's getting some farm... just not much at all.
You can pre-cast Walrus Punch if you want, it's got 10 seconds of time you can use it in after you activate it.
Also, Night Stalker is so fun. Just need to work on getting more ganks off during first night.
Yea, as said above, positions refer to farm priority, 1 is the most farm and 5 is the least.
To try and explain it again:
These are just guidelines, obviously and can wary and fluctuate.Positions:
1
A hero in the 1 position means that they have the highest priority for levels and gold on your team. This is your ‘hard carry’. Heroes that fall into this category are the most item and level dependent on your team. They deal a ton of damage later in the game, and generally build towards damage and survivability.
Common Heroes:
Anti-mage, Phantom lancer, N'aix, Chaos Knight, Luna, Faceless void.
2
The 2 position means that they have the second most need for gold and levels. The reasons can vary, but in general they should be farming any lane that isn’t occupied by your 1. The 2 generally builds toward initiation/utility and survivability items, though some heroes benefit from damage items as well
Common Heroes:
Queen of pain, Night stalker, Magnus, Dark seer, Invoker, Bat rider
3
The third most farm dependent on your team, generally builds toward team fight/support items such as Pipe/Drum or initiation items. 3 is generally item independent for most damage.
Common Heroes:
Wind runner, dark seer, magnus, beast master, enigma
4
As secondary support on the team, the 4 will build towards the cheaper team fight items like Drum/Mek. The 4 helps on pure support items such as wards, smoke, dust when the 5 cannot afford it.
Common Heroes:
Chen, enchantress, enigma, tide hunter, sand king, earth shaker
5
The 5 mainly uses money on pure support items such as wards, smoke, dust, and sometimes regen and teleports for the 1-2 heroes. It is not uncommon to see a 5 hero purchase nothing more than a boots and a wand for themselves the entire game.
Common Heroes:
Venomancer, shadow demon, crystal maiden, wisp.
Pretty much the point. Nyx can take out near any lone non-strength target, but team fights are usually what ends games. Bounty Hunter not only helps a lot in team fights with Track lowering armor, but also helps in chasing enemy heroes. Bounty Hunter can pretty much gank all day and make a ton of money. With Bounty Hunter earning gold faster than Nyx, he can grab better swag faster. I'd say it also helps Gondar can spam his invisibility more often, although he doesn't get to move around as quickly and isn't an instant fade time.
Track doesn't lower armor anymore but is still strong in teamfights yeah.
But Nyx is much more of a support nowadays anyway, soo..
Spoiler
Nyx's utility is CDs up the ass.
Both are top tier heroes though, and i'd rate bounty above nyx for solo queue.
Yeah but I kinda suck at playing carries so lol, no BH for me. All nyx all the time.
Actually, I played a quite good Phantom Assassin game yesterday. Got fed as pineapple. It's just so fun to see red 4 digit integers flying all over the screen accompanied by spurts of blood. Got off to a really slow start though because our team was Gondar, Mortred, Ontologist Deity, and two other agi carries (I forget who-- maybe Venge and Sniper?) versus riki, PL, drow, bloodseeker, and Sand King (who rushed Blade Mail and never bought Blink Dagger) so I was kinda starved for farm early because it was me and BH versus Bloodseeker and Sand King. That was a pain because I needed to get out of Sand King ult or cloud but had bloodseeker ulti and Q on me so I couldn't phantom strike out. Wound up trading a lot of kills that way with Bloodseeker. Wound up winning because more carries = better amirite?
I think it took me more time to get PMS, phase, and Battle Fury than it wound up taking me to get the subsequent BKB, Satanic, and MKB.

The in-game guides and Hero builds intrigue me greatly. Perhaps I don't have to have a Steam browser open up every time I random a new hero.
Also, I saw that stream: http://da.twitch.tv/ELG2TEAM/new
I was loling at many parts of it. Was a funny way to pass the time.
Random thing, but I read things like Morphling and Naga went from god tier to crap with a few changes such as Morphling needing more mana to change AGI <-> STR, and apparently nerfing Naga's base damage by 12 was enough to make people not wanna use her as much. Any of this holding truth, or just people overreacting to hero nerfs??
Still always going to miss the original venge design :( too bad people whining made valve change it:
Spoiler
Morph was strong because you could toss him solo mid and he'd have a huge impact by 20~25 minutes. Icefrog gave his laning the hammer. Morph could still be really strong, just not solo mid. His sole strength was the ability to solo and get out on top.
Naga was strong due to early game aggression and partly due to dark seer vaccum interaction. Her riptide had the cooldown scaling reworked and the base damage nerf meant that she could be contested for last hits plus didn't hit as hard. She's also still a viable pick, just not as strong. Not that naga was as strong as people make her out to be to begin with. And not being able to vaccum sleeping units also kind of sucked for her interaction with dark seer.
There were counters, most definitely:
After this the chinese kind of just left her alone not really wanting to pick her.
Morphs nerfs were.. too harsh. But he was a bit too strong.
