I really enjoyed SAO's first episode, so I've been reading the novels every so often since then. I have to say, I didn't enjoy Fairy Dance that much, but I really loved Phantom Bullet and it made me interested in reading the rest, though I have yet to start the 7th book...

Haven't seen any more of the anime yet, though I've been reading what people are saying about it, and...

I'm just really, really worried that the stories from book 2 are going to make it much more... harem-ish, than it's supposed to be. Especially as Fairy Dance and, to a lesser extent, Phantom Bullet continue that... Not every girl Kirito meets needs to fall in love with him!

Also, the K-ON Movie was great, though I feel there were a number of sections that could have been cut down a little, especially as it felt like they were just redoing that extra episode. They should've been in London for longer, too!

I thought this episode captured the story quite well, and was much better than the other ones. Only things they really cut out were Schmidt wasting time hiding and being a platypus and I guess seeing the HDA HQ, unless I'm forgetting something else. This episode was paced quite well, especially since it's a mystery, but the urgency of the issue is kind of lost without the depth of the other stories. Kind of felt the same way about the last episode, since the threat of PK is supposed to be felt more when you compound it with that one part in volume 1, and I suppose the Floor 1 story.

Yuru Yuri S2 05 & 06: hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggg Yui sick was awesome. Himawari's sister, Kaede is too cute. pineappleing cock tease of a swimsuit episode though. Comuket lol. The Mirakurun show was a bit meh. Needs more HimawarixSakurako.

Oda Nobuna no Yabou 04 & 05: Maybe a bit too tsundere here. A bit annoying. GOEMON HNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Nagahide is a good second though.

Muv-Luv 05 & 06: Sudden forced romance, yay. Good beach episode though. Was hoping for the episode for Yui would have a showdown with Yuuya and then she pineappleing lost what the pineapple

Dog Days' 04 & 05: Best show of the season. SWIMSUITS HNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Joshiraku 03 & 04: Good atmosphere. Not the funniest but still nice.

Guilt Crown - Lost Xmas: Cock tease for the VN. Downloading now, and hopefully the crack works. Looking forward to hearing lots of Asumi Kana <3

Horizon in the middle of Nowhere 17 & 18: This show makes no sense at all. loled at the ninjutsu to eat through his scarf. Finally Tori has some clothes on.

Hyouka 15 & 16: SATOSHI U MAD?! CUZ U SEEM MAD. I don't understand how his sister is masterminding so much of the pomegranate he gets into.

Heathcliff isn't really significant without volume 1 though. They could easily fit it in the next episode if they really want to, but all he does is affirm that there's no way to PK someone in town. The only thing this could affect later in the story is if they want to do that soy sauce sidestory, and they could just give a flashback to Kirito inviting Asuna there for that if they really wanted to do that story (please, no).

Oh. I just remembered the part where Schmidt demanded the spear and wanted to investigate things himself. They could fit this in the next episode too. The order of event isn't really that important since it all happens within a couple of days and it doesn't interact with other events in the story. This is one of the longer side stories though in my opinion, and it felt more about developing Kirito and Asuna's relationship as well as background for the game and events in Phantom Bullet/Alicization, which is why I found it to be well done. It really focused more on how they worked together as well as the actual game's mechanics and why it's important, rather than episode 2's complete disregard for everything that made Aria in the Starless Night a good story.

Accel World 17 & 18: Chiyu was NTRed. papayas hesitating on the finishing blow and then they lose, they deserve it. AND THEN FILLER WASSUP pineappleing trash show. So mad right now. Halfway through 18, a wasp landed on my shoulder. I was already mad they didn't explain/show how Chiyu was NTRed coerced into helping Noumi.

They don't actually have to animate either of those parts of the story. The ending definitely isn't fundamental, and can be saved for later as long as the audience keeps in mind who Lisbeth is. The massive spoiler helps develop their relationship/her character but it doesn't have to be animated at all. They could just have it cut out and say he reveals some secret. They don't even have to mention it at all. I think it actually feels really out of character for him to even reveal secrets to other people. After the next episode, I think it'll pick up in volume 1 again, which is exciting. dat soup.

That being said, I think they could have handled this episode a bit better. The three things they missed out for those of you who haven't read the book

1. Kainz's name is spelled Caynz or something like that. They staged the murder on the same date as a player who died one year ago with a name pronounced the same. You can't see character's names unless you're partied or friended, so they can only rely on their word for it. Kirito and Asuna go check the monument thing on Floor 1 to see if Kainz's name is crossed out (dead) and it is, but it isn't really Caynz. They also mention that if they were more aware of things, Asuna could have checked her friend's list for Yolko's name.
2. Interaction with Laughing Coffin members. Potentially hurts the development for Phantom Bullet a bit.
3. The most important thing they missed was Yolko's deduction of how Grimlock was truly guilty of murder. Grimlock claims he was innocent, saying he did not receive the ring in his inventory. He claims Griselda tried the ring on and was PKed and had it stolen at that point. Yolko explains it's a lie because Griselda explained to her in the past she always wore two rings, the Guild Leader Ring, and her Wedding Ring, which they found at the scene, and stored, and that proves she couldn't have been wearing the rare ring.

Also watched Tiger & Bunny the other day. Great show, homolust is kind of annoying. Feel bad for Blue Rose. God her catch phrase gave shivers down my spine, no joke. Something about the corniness mixed in with that seductive execution...

Also just realised one more month-ish before Mirai Nikki blurays are all out, and the furthest subs for BluRays are at episode 5... I didn't want to watch it when it aired because the manga was so fresh in my mind but god damnit.

Caught up on the last 3 weeks of Humanity Has Declined, Eureka Seven AO, and SAO. Dropping the other shows I was piddling with. Shimapomegranatea remains strange and amusing, it was nice to see Naru all kick-ass and a pain to see Ao screw that up, and the setting and concept for SAO are carrying it over the obvious adaptation holes and rushed points for me.

Signed up for Netflix a few weeks back. Watched Avatar, gonna start on Dr. Who and watch some movies. Patiently awaiting the Fall season.

I've read the light novel too, and I have no where near as much of an issue with the adaptation as most people seem to. I'm just happy that it got an adaptation, and it's still a rather solid adaptation at that.

The jumping around is because of the side stories that they put into the season. Going only by volume 1, there's really not much jumping around at all, sans the 2 year jump that happens in the manga and LN right after they find out about the rules of the game.

God dude from some indiancountrything that speaks japanesse appears, gives "jap MC who doesn't know pomegranate about magic" a pony that MC then uses to fire a pony beam at god dude, steal his omfg sword with said magical pony beam of fire and kill him with thousands of golden swords that popped out of his ass because pineapple. Magic. Also, he got the tsundere, the maid and the milf which will most certainly lent themselves for the totally hilarious "oops I touched your tits" scenes we all love so much. Nice.

I think it was that stone tablet that allowed him to steal the horse and sword. But yeah, from what I've read, the anime has been a really terrible adaptation. As far as I understand, the first episode went all the way through the third novel (or was it that they skipped to the third novel?), and I'm sure there are a ton of details that were left out.

Anyway, don't bother watching past episode one, it's rather underwhelming.
