What lvl rapid fire outdamages triple fire? Because if its something low like lvl 5 or 6 I think I'd want to get rapid fire just so i can stop using triple fire (kinda tired of it) That is when i hit corsair. lvl 101 atm.
Cuz it looks cooL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but serioulsy, is it really that bad on bullets? Also why does everyone say put 1 into elemental amp at 120? Can i just put 1 into battleship and 2 into cannon?
it's not tooo bad on bullets, if your using shinys and spamming crap you should last a few hours on iek 6-8 stacks of bullets anyways... and in training not liek your JUST spamming Rapid fire you are moving around and using ice and (maybe fire and summons) so its not as drastic as ppl make it sound.and yes +1 amp is AMAZING that 1 extra second on freezeing time rocks and will save your... ship
and no lvl 1 battle ship will not break in 1 hit.. it will break in like 3 hits... @ newties... lvl 1 ship has 6K hp (4k from being lvl 1 and 2K from you being lvl 120) and gains 4K from each lvl you stick into ship and 1 for each tiem you lvl 121 = 8 122 = 10 so on and so forth (asumign you dont lvl ship first....)
and if im not mistaken lvl 2 cannon = 210% @ 3 shots and maxed burst fire really = 210% @ 3 shots >.> and the speed differential is almost neglegible.. i would not bother going 2 cannon to sac 1 elemental boost, the 1 secod freeze will help more than 5% more damage per shot of cannon since your going to be killing your ship every like 2-4 hits anyways with the down time of 90 seconds, youc an use ice also when not in your ship F3

I'm a big supporter of doing 1 ship and 2 cannon at 120. That way, you can have cannon 11 at level 123, and your damage will shoot way up since you'll be hitting the monster four times as oppose to three. You can then put a point into boost, but I feel that such a huge boost in damage is the most important thing to get as soon as possible. And I think cannon and burst fire have the same attack speed.
And RF outdamages burst fire at level 5. However, it's not by much at all. It's a negligible amount of damage that RF outdamages burst by. Assuming bullet consumption isn't a problem, then it's not that big a deal. But all the MP wasted for the small amount of increased damage isn't much of an advantage either.
That's the only advantage to getting 2 Cannon at 120, though. 11 Cannon 1 level earlier. 4 second freeze, 1 Torpedo, and 1 Wrath are really beneficial for Newties and enough to outweigh that difference IMO. Your ship is going to take a beating at Newties if you plan on hitting more than 2 at a time with your spiffy 4 hit Cannon without 4 sec freeze.
It depends on your situation and preferences, I guess. I find single target DPS to be much more helpful, especially if you're sniping the two newts. There isn't much need for a mob attack, especially since torp's damage is mediocre at best at level 1.
Although it does make me wonder, why hasn't anyone done a corsair build where you get torp first? It'd be great for training, but at bosses you'd suck. A lot.
Your ship HP at 12x is pineappleing awful and you have nothing to kill stragglers. I mostly use Torpedo to train, but it would be pretty bad to have to spam it on one monster.

1. I think RF > triple at level 1 now with KMST boost. I might be mistaken though cause I forgot where we get the boost exactly
2. Mike [phobiaz1989] went torp first on his sair and it worked well at CGs. He doesn't play it anymore though.
I really wouldn't worry too much about low 12x because you can probably breeze through them quite fast so you should rather look at where you wanna allocate your first 10~15+ points.
That's the thing, you will still be using blast for 6-8 levels into 4th job, before DS can actually out kill it.
