    I just finished dragon age 2.

    stuff they have. if you have only 1 mage in the party, then you literally have just 1 heal, 1 group heal and 1 revive (all) with a 60 second cool down thereabouts. and all pots practically have a 60second cooldown.

    so you literally are playing in "queen cygnus boss mode"..

    but they have other concepts like high passive regeneration from equips. some classes have self recovery. other classes act as tanks with absorb dmg from other members (kind of like one of the battlemage auras). and negative threat generation (ie: mobs focus on attackers that aggro, so rogues with negative aggro defenses don't get hit by much).

    of course, its all pointless when a boss does AOE constantly (like maple bosses do)..

    This except the decrease in orb count. If you lower Coma to 2, maybe. But anything lower and it raises the possibility of spamming Panic really well. In the 4th job, we recharge orbs at double the rate 80% of the time. With Advanced Final Attack, we trigger Final Attack 60% of the time too which does work after Panic/Coma and still charges orbs. In other words, 60% of the time you'd be garenteed to recharge one orb. In fact, 48% of the time after using Panic (in your senario), you would gain orbs. 12% of the time you'd retain orbs and 40% of the time you'd lose that orb. It's still possible to run out of orbs, but it's a higher chance to charge them. You also don't really need to increase the darkness time either since you'd be using Panic quite a lot in the revamp. Threaten is a blessing enough for Chance Attack (it does work, I tested it yesterday).

    With this revamp, Monster Magnet is now limited on the monsters it hits until you level it. Level 1 Monster Magnet is no longer useful as it only hits one monster. With this rebalance, Heroes already have 130 points of skills that increase their damage: ACA, Brave Slash, AFA, Enrage, and Combat Mastery. Without adding Power Stance and Maple Warrior (which is a dumb idea), you could start maxing Monster Magnet at level 163. If you max what's considered the essentials, you'll start maxing Monster Magnet at level 183. I'm not saying that it won't be higher DPS, I'm just saying it doesn't seem worthwhile, especially at LHC where pulling the mobs to you could mean problems for the party. This is more or less why I mentioned earlier in the thread that Brave Slash (in its current state) is to be maxed much later than it is now.

    I think you guys are confused about the party exp splitting formula.

    Old exp formula was 20% split by damage, 80% split by level.
    Current exp formula is 60% split by damage, 40% split by level.

    I'm not sure how okay with this I am. Yes, I agree that it should be divided some by level and damage, but this is promoting segregation of potential item players against those who can't afford it. The game shouldn't be about how funded a character is to get EXP if another player only has a limited amount of time to play the game. Someone who plays 2 hours a day will never make as much EXP or mesos as a player who can play 4+ hours a day. I was at LHC with an Aran hitting around 60-90k damage each hit where I only hit around 40k. He outdamaged me, yes, because he was more funded that I was and yet I barely lost any experience. I'm not sure how it'll be with a lot more EXP lost from his better equipment.

    The potential system in itself promotes "segregation." I was recently training with a Corsair who had over +150% dex and was doing something like 7-8 times my damage at level 17x. His equips aren't something you can just down Pink Bean and expect to compete with. Most of the item upgrading in this game comes from either throwing money at Nexon or merchanting, which is completely ridiculous. I think bonuses like +20% dex are fine, but that kind of stuff should be dropping from bosses. Instead bosses drop mediocre clean items that you have to spend billions of mesos upgrading to make "decent."

    Zombify and seduce dont happen at the same time. I always play a bishop for czak and zombify only happens after seduce is done. Also i dont kill the other players during zombify when i heal i die instead.

    Called some of the warrior changes a looooong time ago. Really glad to see them. Also pissing my pants for those new page->pally animations. And using my ultimate adventurer to make an hero. If only they buffed panic a little more or let blind hit bosses *for longer the class would have a potentially amazing mechanic to it. Scratch that works with threaten. heros = baller.

    Hey in fact what happened with the Chaos Acc / Avoid Formulad? how it was changed? and there is still the 20 levels penalty

    Avoid seems to work better than it does in Big Bang, the hit penalty was reduced to something like 2% per level, STR adds some physical accuracy now, I don't know what the actual accuracy formula is now or whether accuracy as a stat is actually useful now.

    I like it because it means you have to pay attention to two numbers. Maybe that's just me.


    Meanwhile, it makes Nexon more and more money every year.
    Maplestory isn't popular because of its mechanics; it's popular for the social aspect.

    Maplestory isn't a Halo. It's not a Mario nor a Pokemon either.
    The brand name isn't strong enough to have everyone come for another time around.
    If a change of focus happens, it'll be because Nexon has a game that sells better.

    Interviews have talked about "Maplestory 2", but I'm under the belief that Big Bang was it.

    Could be accomplished by making mana a limited resource for all classes.

    I'm aware MapleStory is popular for its social aspect. If you can't tell, I absolutely hate the game and I've stuck around for years just because of the community (not the community in general - I mean my ties to buddies, alliance, SP).
