2009 is essentially the best captain dota has ever seen, he dominated dota for so long it's not even funny and pioneered so many things that are still utilized today.
Was the captain of a top team in 2008, the absolute best in 2009 and again an absolute top team in 2010.

Now try to rewrite history by replaying some of the best encounters of The International 3 Western and Eastern Qualifiers by being in the shoes of your favorite competitive teams and players. First week begins with ROX.KIS vs Evil Geniuses from the Western Qualifiers.

New Pages to the Compendium including Favorites & Compendium Match Making:

Compendium owners now get to select a favorite team and player. Following this, every time they win a Compendium Match, they will earn points for their favorites. Each week, the team and player with the highest scoring fanbase will be rewarded.

I actually love the new Compendium Matchmaking. I've only played one game of it but the game went almost 63 minutes. I went 12/9/29 on Batrider but we ultimately really got carried by our Enchantress with some solid backline DPS from Gyro as well. The biggest problem was their Magnus who got a fairly early refresher and BKB. Oh, the terror. Most of the people I've talked to have reported some similarly epic games as well.

My 3 past games have been awful , I've played badly, but my teammates are beyond bad, I've gotten people who say gg at 7 mins and just stay in base, and just move around so they don't get the penalty for leaving the game.

Dota 2 fan art is really nice, I was looking and reading the other day. Many wonderful characters that deserve awesome stories.
Also, just played Bounty Hunter and I got so fed that I was killing supports in two kills, even their tankiest, a Timbersaw, was dying in 3-5hits.

Timbersaw can't do pomegranate against burst damage. That's his biggest weakness. He really needs time to get his Reactive Armor stacks up. However, against rapid but fairly small increments of damage (e.g., Lycanthrope, Spectre, Juggernaut, Gyrocopter, Phantom Lancer) he's very very tanky. Someone bursty like TA or Shadow Fiend or even Tiny or Sven will pomegranate on him.

I love Tiny. I keep getting easy kills by walking up to someone in lane and throwing them back into my tower, where my ally is waiting with a disable. And I screwed up this N'aix in teamfights yesterday by repeatedly tossing him away so he couldn't do any damage while we beat on his teammates. 9 - 2 with this hero.

- Client no longer waits for connection to the DOTA network before allowing access to the UI. Features that do not require this connection are accessible.
- You can now hold control when pinging to send a "caution" ping instead.
- Added Aegis reclaim and Roshan respawn timers to the spectator popups.

AUDIO
- Added Ownage sounds to Storm Spirit, Axe, Nature's Prophet, and Juggernaut Killing Spree announcers.
- Added distant tower destruction sounds.
- Added Mortal Strike sfx.
- Fixed sync on Freezing Field.

COMMUNITY
- Fixed bug allowing reports outside of matches in certain contexts
- Players receive an additional report submission if someone they report subsequently receives a communication ban

I'm much more excited for dreamhack, Na'vi has always been a team that does horribly at dreamhack(Compared to what's expected of them)
Let's see if they can get a dreamhack win under their belt.

Also i really hope Nexon will partner with OGN over gomtv. Would strenhthen Dota2's growth a lot in korea, not to mention they need to do events at PC bangs and pomegranate.

But well it's nexon, and on this particular site i'm sure we all know how influential Nexon is in korea. They're probably the best publisher there is for korea.

I just fed a rapier and single-handedly threw a game. Feels bad, man. I had Heart, Armlet, treads, shadow blade, Mask of Madness, and rapier. No BKB. Of course, this was in a custom match so I had Shukuchi, Drunken Brawler, Fatal Bonds, Battle Hunger, Amplify Damage, and Enrage (Ursa ultimate) on Invoker. Weird game. And I never had to buy the MoM or the Shadow Blade.

Dota 2 will be formally released later this summer, prior to the Internatinoal tournament in August.

Finished tutorial.
No more beta invites.
More stable servers so they can handle the massive influx of players.

That's nice. I think this is the first time I get to say that I played a game's beta, even if just 6months or so :'D However, I hope there are no special promotions or anything because I still haven't reactivated my credit card lol
Also, I have the feeling that not many people use solo queue at 2-7am (US time) in the morning and I'm teamed with people with 4210641280412 wins that carry me hard or with the people who are just starting because of how small the player pool is.

So I finally had a good Doom game. Bit of a rocky start (no courier so I had to go back and get it plus a salve) but I eventually got my basi then midas up and running. Decided to rush necronomicon 3 after basi midas phase because I had the gold. Went surprisingly well. Ended up with 590 GPM and 8/2/12. We weren't doing great up until I came out of the forest. I should probably start paying attention to my lanes and popping out with a lvl ? death early on. That pomegranate hurts. Most satisfying sound effect ever when you get the bonus damage.

okay I accidentally didn't post this post before I started my next game. Accidentally hard random Morphling in Single Draft. The subsequent picks are: CM Enchantress Batrider and Death Prophet.
Only ended up with 547 GPM this game; up against a super-aggressive lane early on.
