    No, just no.

    Reduce his damage, that's literally all you need. pineappleing with his gameplay isn't a nerf, it would just ruin him, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. As it stands right now he's too powerful to be that fast, so just reduce the damage and you're golden because he is what he's meant to be, he's just too strong too soon.

    Classes should never be ruined just to get ''balance''. Still hate the Chief Bandit nerfexplosion from the Thief revamp which utterly ruined its gameplay entirely and left it with a pitifully ranged, and horribly delayed Rush attack, and instead gave Band of Thieves to Hermits.

    The dude can literally teleport better through a map and even faster than any Mages themselves. It's so ridiculous that looks like a hack. For a warrior, it makes more sense to do that while attacking monsters, not just whenever you want.And his main attack's range is so big that it eliminates any need to use the most other skills for anything but mobility.

    I couldn't care less about balance really, any class can be broken with enough NX. I just think his mobility and rage are so ridiculous that takes away the Samurai escense out of him and makes it into something else (close to a hacker really). By ruining the class, I meant ruining that something else he is which I don't like but others might, like you.

    Have you played mercedes? lol They almost have as much mobility as hayato, the only thing she is missing are more mob rushers, and she already has a mob rush and her flying assaulter clone.

    the dude is right, just nerf the numbers. nexon did their job well, they designed a class that looks fun, cool, and flashy. no need to break it.

    That video description, I love it. Rules are meant to be broken.

    As for Hayato being changed, he's perfect as he is. Classes will only get more and more powerful, so even if he's left alone, he'll eventually become obsolete anyway. In fact, leaving him alone makes him relevant for longer, instead of having him be discarded like a cheap whore in a few months. Like all the new KMS classes that get nerfed to irrelevance. I hope JMS will be smarter than that.

    I agree with byakugan about reducing the range at least. Hyato's main attack is way too freaking huge; to the point that it doesn't even resemble a sword slash anymore. I understand having a decent range and all, but he reaches across the screen in first job! That's just not right...

    I say nerf the range of his main attack (that one he get's upgraded every job) and make its animation smaller, and nerf his numbers.

    If it really bothers you that much, pop some OCD pills and call it a day. But don't go demanding that something other people find fun be ruined forever just because it somehow offends you in some intangible way. If it's free for everyone to enjoy, and you choose not to enjoy it, that's your choice. But wanting to deprive others of that choice, well, that's terrible.

    Don't think of his slashes as just pure weapon strikes. He uses the power of Gales/the wind to attack (hence the name of the update - "A Blade of Gales"), so of course his attacks will stretch a good distance. It's like those fictional Chinese monks who use Chi to strike things from further away than their body/weapon can reach (like Aang from Avatar).

    I agree with people that think his range should be decreased. It would not do much damage to their DPS to make the eye sore slash half as big, but it would make more sense and above all, it would not look half as ugly and retarded.

    Just wanted to point out that Aang aint a chi using chinese monk. He is an airbender and manipulates air (before learning to bend the rest of the elements).

    You say that as though you believe making a single move, that stretches across the screen and hits well above most enemy's max hp from first job, a bit smaller would suddenly make the job not worth playing. I personally think making the move smaller (and and only that move) along with making the job less powerful would put more emphasis on the skill chaining.


    I think you might be misunderstanding the intent of those who want the class to be tweaked a little. No one here wants the class's gameplay ruined, they're simply stating what they think would have made it more fun (for everyone, including those who aren't playing it). I'm sorry if our opinions differ, and I'm sorry if you find my opinion offensive, but do understand that no one has come into this thread with malicious intent.

    Even if it's passive aggressive maliciousness, it's still the desire of those not playing the class to make the class more appealing to those not playing the class. And that's terrible. It's reminiscent of the hatewagon Demon Slayer received. OH, IF WE JUST TWEAK THIS HERE AND NERF THAT THERE then you wind up with a pomegranatety class that pales in comparison to many others, because the changes made to it were solely for the people NOT playing it. I'm sure the majority of Maplers would disagree, but changes made to a class should be solely for the benefit of those actually playing it, instead of those who aren't. Because if you don't like a class, nobody's forcing you to play it. But it's a plantain move to want those who ARE to get screwed for the sake of your enjoying not playing the class you want screwed. Even if those who want that lack of the objectivity to realize that it's a plantain move.

    Suffice it to say, beating a class's head in with the nerf bat is not done for the sake of improving the enjoyability of those who play it, as those who play it enjoy the class just fine as proven by the fact that they're playing it. It's not done for game balance, when the nerfs always have to be undone and replaced with drastic buffs. Nerfs have absolutely no positive impact or motivations, so please don't delude yourselves into thinking that wanting to gimp one's fellow Maplers is anything other than negative.

    Love and tolerate, don't nerf and restrict.

    When I say that no one has come into this thread with malicious intent, I mean that no on has come into this thread with any form of malice. None, in any form.

    Also not that when I said "everyone", I meant everyone in the game. The word, "everyone", encompassed every person, not just those who do not play the class, not just those who do play the class, but those who play Maplestory.

    The rest of your post was essentially a regurgitation of what you had already said, and to that I have already explained myself with this:

    Now, I'm going to go ahead and add to this to make it a little bit more clear as to what my words mean there.

    Currently, Hyato has an all purpose, kill everything from 1-6 enemies at a massive range without any need for any other attack aside for aesthetics until fourth job. I believe that making that one attack smaller (maybe just slightly smaller than its current first job range) and making some of the other skills a bit less powerful (so that no one skill will be one shotting everything without some good equipment) would put emphasis on the gameplay that Hyato was designed around. I would make Hyato one of my mains for its gameplay alone, and nerfing the numbers won't change its gameplay (if anything, buffing them might, see Buccaneers).


    If you want to continue thinking that anyone in favor of a nerf, modification, slight tweak, or any other synonym for change is being malicious, then I truly feel sorry for you. I won't continue to try and express the meaning of my words, as any further talking will be falling on dear ears.

    Sorry if I can't sympathize with the desire to force people to play a class how you believe it should be played, rather than just leaving it as it is and giving people a choice.

    But you know us pro-choice guys, we're hopelessly against restrictions just for the sake of restrictions and/or MORAL OUTRAGE that a class does things you don't think it should.

    This was actually recorded a couple of weeks ago, but I found this hilarious. Horntail preliminary heads don't even stand a chance.




    It'd be a lot better if the guy had max level Issen, though. I wonder why he didn't max it yet by 153. I bet he maxed Shinsoku Musou or something useless.

    Probably Yousousen. Maxed Yousousen 1 Issen is better for DPS if you actually use Yousousen after Sanrenzan.
