Depends how you look at it. It could just be worded badly by Nexon, people talk about upgrading their equipment all the time and they don’t mean physically making what the currently have better. But getting something new that is stronger.

I just find it funny that the Hammer is coming out in GMS first. All those sort of items seem to. I wonder how big an impact it will have on the game combined with maker.

The hammer is the only CS item I can think of that does that. iTCG is the only other thing I can think of.

While I understand all of your complaints about the hammers, I really dont see why most of you are complaining.

Really, EVERYONE (who still plays the game anyways) benefits from this, either directly or indirectly.

Directly: You'll buy them and make your equips better

Indirectly: Equips with higher stats will now be cheaper, as they are more easily made.
-With higher statted equips cheaper, the lower statted ones will be cheaper as well.

What Im getting at is that while so many of you (us) are so adamantly against this idea, the fact doesnt change that when the opportunity/chance arises for us to take advantage of it, we will.

-I remember back in the day, people were against the release of gach. Yet, how many of those people would NOT buy gach'd items, if the price was reasonable and within their range?

-I remember back in the day, people complained about 2x exp. Yet how many of those people ended up NEVER touching a 2x exp card?

-What about those complaining about select individuals exploiting glithces? How many of those people ended up NOT abusing 8x family exp (which was clearly a glitch, based on it's description saying it does not stack with event exp)?

Im not accusing anyone of anything. However, Im just saying, people are quick to talk, but when the time comes to back up their talk, they often back down or do opposite of it.

How many of the people going "omg, this is such a bad idea" or "this rigs the game and makes it too unfair" would NOT buy a 15 atk work glove that is +8'd for 100 mill if they saw it, going "It's cheap... but it was made with a Vicious Hammer...I condone those hammers, so I wont support it" *walks away*?

tl;dr-There's no point complaining. What's coming is coming and most of us will probably take advantage of it anyways so why bother?

I doubt I'd be using it much, but I suppose this is yet another reason I was wise to take out all of my equipment of value in exchange for crystals and pure mesos and live off a crappy temp set in the year I was waiting for maker...

Seems like my all or nothing challenge of making the only full 110 set I can afford decent seems more likely now.

Cygnus can wait on the backburner; I'm forcing my BL to mass hunt red powders while I sit and grade my jewels.



To everyone complaining about the hammer... really? what did you expect? Not all that different from the introduction of dark scrolls when you think about it really. My 1 10%, 3 60% golden crow was godly back in the day, but that changed significantly then. Who's going to prevent them from doing this anyway? People pay to be stronger, and they don't like it when the big payers are settled on "final" equipment. I know we like bashing NEXON, but turn around and look at the demand from the majority of them game .

I'm thinking along the lines of things like Maple Life etc. I don't think you can buy a level 30 character in other versions, yet. I was just making an observation that a lot of these things get released in GMS first.

Vicious hammer can't work on MoN because MoNs have no slots to recover. I feel pretty strongly that this will work like a 100% clean slate scroll and not just add a slot. Adding a slot arbitrarily will make the hammer overpowering.

So true, I thought that too. The only goodies to use this would be on Scg's, Z-Helm's, weapons, Facestompers, Pac's, etc making most of the iTCG forging shyt pretty expensive.

Things being made with maker will double inflate now with hammer. Gj nexon. But at least common class items won't double inflate, they shouldn't inflate that much even with hammer.

I doubt they would double inflate, as they're dirt cheap already. I have trouble selling level 100 equips for more than 1m.
