Me? I haven't been saying anything about character cards.
Me? I haven't been saying anything about character cards.
Hmm, that was me, I believe. Now I can't recall if I actually tested it or not, or if I just assumed based on Paly and IL. I'm afraid it was probably the latter, sorry about that =/
Paladins' boost may act differently, although I don't know either way. It would be nice if someone could test it out with Paladins.
I'd assume they're the same since the names of the boosts are nearly identical.
Paladins: level to physical damage
I/L: level to magical damage
Viper: level to physical+magical damage
Thunder Breaker: level to physical+magical damage
No cards but S Ranked Paly. (Conveniently also without potential, since I happen to be outside Empress)

Looks like I was wrong again, +300 range with 1.5x Paly effect. It doesn't, in fact, round down. I guess that'd be stupid anyway.
Sorry for not being more thorough =[
So Paladins do add to range while TBs do not?
Do you have a character with a mirror-hit skill that you can test to see if it adds straight to damage as well as range?
Edit:
Range without TB card: 46900
Range with TB card: 47494
So it adds to range and hits? This is confusing.
Yeah, seems that way, this is quite interesting.
Goes from no cards to A Ranked Marauder.

I wish I could check Mirror Image damage, but my equips are on my other account waiting for Phantom, and I can't get anyone to transfer them til morning.
Except... my range increases by 630... which, now that I think of it, might be because of Empress Might, effectively making me 210, I guess. I dunno, that skill does weird things, like changing Buster/Fury effects for DrKs ten levels earlier, showing up as 210 in PvP.
I just realized I didn't necessarily have to do max to test MI, so here's this:
43864/60863 = 72%
Oh, and this is with A Ranked Marauder and A Ranked Thunder Breaker (6x Level total), so
43864 - (210 * 6) = 42604
42604/60863 = 70%
My Paly isn't on this account, though, conveniently I made a Shadower on that account last patch to check out BoT and Assaulter, so I can check if Paly has the same effect, hold on ^^
Again, experienced an increase in range of 1.5 * Level (+180), but the effect did not carry over to Shadow Partner.
2658/3798 = 70%
But interestingly enough, the venom hit in that picture, no points in Toxic Venom, reflects my non card range. (4299 -> 4479 with Paly Card)
3869/0.9 is 4299.
I gotta say, this is pretty exciting.
I figure it makes sense, the card descriptions are just worded badly. Apparently in Nexon's eyes, attack=range and damage=final skill damage. I guess it almost makes sense in the sense that it makes buccaneer and paladin bonuses pretty comparable (if a skill has a multiplier of 300% or more it'll be better with a paladin card, otherwise the buccaneer card will be better?). The important lesson here is that both paladin and buccaneer cards give very negligible bonuses probably not worth making characters for. I think I'm gonna save myself a character slot and just level my Cannoneer to 120 for the S rank bonus rather than going for a more useful individual card buff.
Edit: I dunno why it's adding onto your range, though. Can you test with and without the card on a high percentage skill to see if it's multiplying the card bonus by the skill damage instead of just adding it flat? It might just be showing up in your damage range because it increases the damage a plain attack of yours would do by 800.
S Set Effect
Range: 4212
S Set Effect + S Paladin
Range: 4392 (+180 from original, 4212 + 1.5*120 = 4392)
S Set Effect + S Paladin + All S Warrior Effect
4626 HP, 4626/1.2 (Radical Darkness) = 3855 - 700 (S Set HP Boost) = 3155 base HP
Range: 4636 (+424 from original, 244 from just Paladin, 4392 + 0.08 * 3155 = 4644 (Off by 8))
Double Stab + SP
Venom Damage: 3790/0.9 = 4212 (Original Range w/o Paly+Warrior Set)
4433/5985 = 74%
0.70 * 5985 = 4190
4433 - 4190 = 243 (About the difference between with and without Warrior Set)
Can't calculate warrior set bonus properly, but the range it adds does add to SP damage.
Not sure what's going on with Warrior Set, does affect magical ranges, unlike Paly card, but my priest with 1170 base HP gains 59 range going from All S to All S + All Warrior. It could just be that I forgot HP bonuses, but this priest is almost completely stripped with exception of wand and codex, neither of which give HP bonuses.
Since you cant stack 2x S bonus sets (pirate S set + pirate S set) is it possible to stack S and A set? Because if thats the case then I could do this:
Deck 1: Cannoneer lvl 70, koc lvl 120 & mechanic lvl 120
Deck 2: lvl 120 mech, lvl 120 jett/lvl 120 outlaw, lvl 120 bucc
And this should give me both S and A rank = 10% ignore defense right?
Hmm, tested with a friend, who also saw boosted damage to SP hits, however, I just realized, since DoT is calculated with your max range, and Venom isn't affected by Paly, Bucc, or Warrior Set effects maybe they aren't really adding to your range at all.
it's very probable that pally is %DMG then, or some sort of new subtype, aran range shows %dmg increases, but is not actual range, i think there's a poison nebulite that could be used to test this?
Spoiler
I guess the card deck would explain why my SP doesn't cap at 699999, I'd completely forgotten about it. >_<
Does anyone know if you can stack two sets together, with say SS + S or S + A rank? I was wondering if I could get the 6% ignore DEF and 4% ignore DEF pirate decks to stack together. Pretty much what Even asked earlier.
