This class friggin rocks! Such short cooldowns on abilities and just a constant barrage of damage.
and i'm making a ton of money leveling it. I found 2 lvl 16 blue destructive crests, sold one for 150g, and kept the other. And any blue weapon I find is immediately like 50g. I think I've made like 500g so far just from making this character to lvl 16.
The story is pretty interesting too.
The vast majority of the Engineer skills are actually passive upgrades to two of the three types of summons that they get.
- upgrades to Alfredo (uses certain abilities with cooldowns, you cannot control when he uses those abilities, except for Alfredo Stomp which is a toggled command)
- Quackums (they use certain attacks with cooldowns, you cannot control when they use said attacks)
- Towers
Even then, I'm now level 28, and I'm having issues with skill bar space and SP distribution...
Seriously, you will not be able to learn all skills as soon as you reach the level requirement for them. Engineer skills take up a ton of SP. To level up Engineer skills, you need to use 4 SP, while other classes only need either 1 or 3 SP to do so.
Most people recommend at least learning the skill, and even getting a skill plate for cooldown. I personally found two Quality plates for Slip-n-Slide, crafted both for -CD, and I ended up selling the other one for 500 gold...
While it might not seem very useful to yourself, keep in mind that the skill is a godsend in a party, especially for Priests and Sharpshooters, who do not have any natural movement skills.
Oh, and it does work on bosses, like the Cleric's Paralyze Bolt. Don't expect it to work on the Nest bosses, though.
Decided I was gonna go the gear master route and put one point into the quakums, changed my mind I wanna be a shooting star, guess that one point wont really matter till i get to level 40 anyway right?
I should really start selling blue gear i find instead of leaving it .-.
how can you not like slip n slide? That skill has already saved me like 10 times from mobs. The random chance to make them fall down interrupted them right before I got hit. I always lay it down underneath mobs
It's for mobility, so don't expect to lay down that ''Fire Pudding'' and expect the mobs to just fall over, because the chance IIRC is only 10% at Lv1, so more often than not the mobs will walk right over it.
Again, people max it out for end-game nests for the mobility aspect to avoid devastating attacks, nothing else. Its ''slip'' chance isn't reliable enough to get it for that sole purpose.
This new system is a bit annoying where the boss drops nothing if you're out of PWR
I do friggin love how you can enhance and spark quest gear now. Just got vit/HP on argenta's breath necklace!!!

Scored the name BlueShyvana lmao. I'm in the Gerrent server, made a new warrior so I could be in the same server with you guys. Add me aaa.
Made a Academic to mess around while waiting on DFO updates next week. IGN is PrimatesNoob on Gerrant. They've been pretty amusing so far. Able to run Abyss easy at level 12, just takes a bit of work using full green armor. I feel like the blue armor drops are nerfed for them, since all I find are blues for the other classes.
I'm actually starting to play this game more again and I'm in need of a community of people to talk to ;-; lvl 30 paladin looking for home in the east server >.<

Ive been using that one
slip n slide has made soloing the bosses of abyss dungeons a joke. I had one proc on the last boss of stronghold 3x in a row. He just kept getting knocked over while I just beat into him. The same thing happened to the last boss in lost tunnels. It's like a random 2 second stun.
and chemical warfare is AWESOME.

Thanks, this helped me decide what I wanted to go for. (Which is why I save my free reset from Lv15)
I knew I was leaning more toward Shooting Star, but this guide really brings it to definite status. I can see why points aren't used in the right branch: the AI for the walking Quackums is horrific and can't be relied upon much. To be honest I only send them out when the rest of my attacks are in cooldown just so I can use something in that time.
Looks like I'll be resetting today.![]()
I have level one quakums from wen i wanted to go gear master, a weird thing is that if they hit somethign they will dodamage, and stagger it.
That build looks better than the one I posted. I'm going to wait to use my 40 reset for it. My level 15 reset I haven't turned in the quest so I can save it for later just in case.
edit - did they take away aversion to npcs?

Tinkerer 140/250, Engineer 222/250
I think this will be my build after looking at the other two. My guildies call me crazy for not using quackums, and say the shock really helps. I'm level 24 at the moment.
