You are putting this patch on the same level as the original NLC, or Crimsonwood Keep?
This is nowhere close to that level of new content. These kinds of glitches (quests, NPC dcing) are BASIC and they should NOT exist if testing was properly done. There isn't even any major fresh content (from a coding standpoint) that was implemented. Glitches in things like CWKPQ are understandable because that employed some brand-new PQ systems which are bound to have issues. The same does not apply to this patch.
On another note - the CWK revamp is literally horrible. They cut out pretty much all the maps, no more crossroads or ANYTHING, no bigfoot, no jump quest, no mountain...
It's almost like they purposely did it to remove any ounce of creativity that existed there in the first place. It's a slap in the face to everyone who worked on CWK (especially Prose). I'm beyond disappointed.
The only thing I enjoy from this update is the music. Everything else sucks.
The boss? Because I could only enter 5 times a day, it even gave me the notice. You gotta kill the driller boss 300 times anyways for a B rank nebula. Don't quite see how that is a exp exploit.
edit: Oh nevermind, I guess I rushed to complete too fast w/o caring. I already completed all NLC new quests.

Guess I was wrong for getting my hopes up.
I should have never thought that an expansion not made by Prose would've been even just close as good.
This was a lose-lose for both Prose and Nexon.I'm sure he would hate it to see all his hard work ruined like that.
Maybe the point of this is for GMS to be the guinea pig, and then once everything's working nicely it'll be ported over to everyt single other version.
Also, the re-use of Zakum JQ keys made me literally laugh out loud.
Did anyone else notice the bit during the questline where the alien got "hacked" by the mapler (you), and you then say "a completely preventable hacking job!" or something to that degree? It's like Nexon is cock slapping the pineapple out of all the hacking victims out there. This Nexon guy, I tell ya.
That one kind of ticked me off as someone who was hacked, but most likely due to a DB leak. I'm just not going to bother with NLC, the quest seems pretty dull, it honestly looks like something someone pulled out of their asses to appease people and their wining about Masteria.
They should have just revamped the maps and expanded upon the currently story line. It's also really glitchy.
I clearly can't answer your question, but I would remind you that, being a game, things don't need to be totally reasonable.
If it's an event, people will stop caring months later anyway.
I'll take an excerpt from Swordstaker to express my feelings:
NLC was an amazing addition, but it was a mess. In a world in which the main plot of Maplestory was never expanded on, it made sense that Prose would create Masteria to supply some real story to the game.
But, really, it was super convoluted with everything from ancient demons to sci-fi time travel to alternate realities. Basically, it tried to shove all genres in existence into one area because the rest of Maple didn't really have them.
Maple has evolved a lot since Prose's plans, so a lot of his plots (at least as they've been laid out so far) are seemingly kind of redundant.
Really, the only part of Masteria that I'd actually like seeing expanded is the who CWK/Versal thing; that's the main reason I'm upset about the quests they removed.
Based on what they removed, CWK has absolutely zero context or explanation for being there.
Basically, anyone who was still hoping for a legitimate expansion to Masteria was crazy because the arrival of Cygnus Knights signaled that the Black Mage story was going to get all of KMS' focus.
Thing is. I don't find it THAT bad. Yes I love Masteria and yes the quests gone make absolutely no sense and it's still wtp. But, in all honesty it's not that bad at all..especially if this is really only part one a lot can happen and change. I'm sorry but I'm not really all that disappointed. The new maps where the Krakian jungle was isn't that bad and can be seen as a decent training opportunity. The Alien mobs that give 3k? Okay. I mean whatever. There's a new training map have fun. Broken exp? Masteria has had broken exp since the day of it's conception. Wolf Spiders, Wind Raiders, Jesters. The forest, yeah it looks like trash now but there was NOTHING great about it in the first place. NOTHING. Cept maybe Big Foot. You can't get dep star anymore. Again okay, get a mon or make one of the new pendants. The forest was nothing but a giant maze that confused and got new players lost. Yeah I got the point of it and yeah it was cool but COMPLETELY unnecessary. If five people can quote me and say "I trained in the Phantom Forest or Crimsonwood mountains POST Big Bang" then I will retract what I said. It's fine, just forget about it. Ya'll sound like me when I was hung up on the Victoria Island change. The Alien quests were more then likely meant to be taken as a joke with all the cliches from the 50's sci-fi movies and 4th wall jokes. It's not something epic like CWK, it's not Krakia. The quest dialogue is FINE for what it is. You'll get used to the changes people, if the town even stays like that forever. The Alien thing will probably stay there but in a different way. It looks incomplete and it probably is incomplete, just wait it out watch what happens in the coming months. If NEXON intended this to be part of our Alliance Unbound updates then that's what it'll be.
