I dont know if this has any relevance, but today I was browsing the FM minding my own business and some guy trades me, so I accept. Thinking he wants to sell me his 9% STR earings. Well, he puts up a shoe and I crash when I cancel the trade. I think "Oh just a DC" so I go back on, and it happens again. Twice. Something fishy goin' on here. I'm changing my password.. maybe I'm just paranoid. Never had an account stolen before.

I got a 200+% STR set...some 140 weps. Mules filled with mesos/scrolls/whatever. And just today changed my pass from something like, 9q8enhg098hqeg to something pretty damn easy and lame. Everyday I log on waiting to see myself hacked or something but it's never happened yet.
Starting to think it's because back when that big list of MTS ID's was released, Nexon let me completely change my log in ID to something else. I'm wondering has anyone that was able to change their actual Log In ID, in the past 5 months, been hacked? Just wondering ><
If I did actually log on to see my char stripped and everything gone. I'd probably just laugh slightly, and log off.
I was under the impression that they changed your ID to your mail and nothing else.
This is correct. It seems more like a flaw than anything.
Oh yeah, I didn't mean a brand new log in ID of my choice, but it was made with a brand new email address, and the email address itself is pretty complex to say the least. But yeah, same question I guess. Wondering if anyone who was able to change their log in ID in any way shape or form in since the MTS exploit has been hacked. ><
This is currently out of control. The only Solution that i can keep adversting is the IP system , which currently WOW uses...
And you know, 90% of the known IRCDs in the universe.
So I finally got to 120 on my Mercedes and guess what my gift from the world is.... getting hacked again (though I was online at the time). They were able to successfully change my password without access to my email......
Third time in less than what, three weeks?

Well, I finally got hit. Luckily the hacker wasn't a total prick though, since he/she only took my tradeable items. Last time I got hacked, the person got rid of everything, but this person just took some mediocre crap that I barely invested in (I mostly invest in untradeables for this very reason).
Still annoying as hell though.
This is getting out of control. I am tempted to purchase NX locks for my items but it's such a stupid concept to have us pay money for Nexon's incompetence.
Edit: I only see 365 day locks. Is this what is referred to by "perma-lock"?
They used to sell actually permanent ones, now they don't.
Oh really? When was this? I would have definitely considered.
Years ago.
When they originally came out. I bought like 10 of the permanent ones. That's the only reason I still have all my gear.
