Lost in an abandoned mine shaft in my single player world FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Oh god after 2 and a halfish hours I randomly find my house after digging though the ceiling. Found a beast pool of lava on the surface though. And a bunch of diamond/gold/iron, so totally worth it.
Yeah since i got lost, i learned to make arrows with 3 blocks to point to the original entrance point (Or at least the one nearest to my home). Never got loss ever again.
So, apparently silverfish blocks only spawn in Strongholds, so go find these sneaky structures and get yourself murdered!
Smart, if they are supposed to be dungeons/laberinths to fight bosses then the least you want is player mining their way to the boss room no?
Passive mobs are lame, somehow appearing deep inside a cavern/mine in the layer 20 and VERY far away from an entrance with sunlight.

I only get out of memory errors if I try to run Minecraft through Steam. >w>
So, I'm probably the only insane perosn doing this, but I'm building an underwater house in a lake I've come across. Minor problem. All the blocks above water are cobblestone, and well lit. The rest are mainly glass for ceiling and walls. Somehow, I'm still getting spiders spawning on my roof. It's entertaining in that they just spin rapidly in circles on top of me but it's irritating because I can't go out of my house when there's 4 spiders perma-aggro'd on me. I'm tempted to just light the surrounding land that isn't the lake but I'm not sure that's the problem. -_-
in other news don't starve to death in bed, it does silly experience glitches.
Put a few Water/Lava Blocks in your roof while securing your exits. No more mobs/illumination problems anymore :D.
Right now im starting what i call "Project Tree of Life", in which im basically building a big ass trunk out of Logs (Not Wooden Planks), and start branching out rooms out of the trunk. Also when i finish doing the rooms i usually cover it with leafs to make it look like a real tree :D
Well, not starting per se, i just have the idea in mind and have been practicing how to make it since im prolly just going to make a new map when i start downloading mods/version 1.9 comes out.
Is anybody having issues with iron doors? I cant seem to open the one that I made.
I am dying to show you my hand-made Tree of life. If you can manage to beat mine i'll give you a cookie.
The cave alone took me 4-5 weeks to dig out and I've used over 20,000 tree logs to make the tree itself.
EDIT: I have to mention mine starts at 1 block above bedrock and ends at the sky limit.
Wow you started from the bedrock layer? O.o Kudos to you. I may be able to do something similar but like i already tell, im only practicing until i download the mods/1.9 comes out. Also how thick is your tree trunk?
Also Nalek, iron doors can only be opened by using switches/redstone.
A few of my testing to build the tree in a future update:
To the left the trunk model for size and branching, and to the right the model for the branching and how the rooms are going to be made and covered.
I should port this tree idea to terraria when they get their big update.
Ahh how I love creative mode >_<. Went to the nether, cant find my portal, made a new one and tried to follow compass only to notice that the new portal probably spawned me to gods ass and now im lost forever.
RIP my HUGE building :(
EDIT:
Until...
Familiar light of windows is emerging in horizon,
That village and W.I.P Glass tower looks familiar. HOME SWEET HOME <33 Compass worked after all...
My brain is full of pineapple after trying to cover my test branch room with 2 layers of leaf. Dammit it gets confusing to do that with semitransparent blocks :S
