SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ACE
Entire GameDear god, Valve left the door open. Chell is now free to find or be found by what's occupying the States in the Combine era. GLaDOS now has an eternity to tinker around with Atlas and P-Body. Valve has already stated (unknown if publically or privately to ThePoliticalGamer) that they are done with altering the game and will release DLC sometime. That alone might give us our next plot platform to hop up to. It could even be another ARG, which Valve has perfected the art of. And we still have the Borealis.Spoiler
well, Chell really can't interact with the combine. Since she was in the sleep chamber for at least 9999 days, which is about 30 years. Assuming Portal 1 takes place around around 2007, since valve likes to make games that are in the current time frame, Portal 2 takes place around at least 2037. If Half-Life 2 takes place at ~2017, then either the Combine is gone or all the humans are dead. But, considering the next installment in Half-Life will probably involve the borealis, it's possible that Valve has a "we told you that story so we could tell you this one" kind of plot. I would love it if when boarding the Borealis you hear "Cave Johnson here!"
