SHIZZY FIGHTING!!!! HWAAAAAAA
Always nice to get the full flavor of why you love a show packed into one episode. There's gonna be more right? I don't want to read it >_> Needs more Izaya sisters. Oh yes. More of them. And Shizzy. I have a legitimate, raging heterosexual man-boner for Shizzy.
-Well since Sayaka's gem shattered into pieces. Her body still remains there even though the witch was formed, is she considered to be dead then?
-LEAVE MADOKA ALONE ALREADY KYUUBY!!!
-Makes me wonder how much food Kyoko has on her.....how on earth can she eat all that without gettin fat...
-I wonder also...each "Witch's Core" or whatever have a theme depending on the magic girl, sooo...Sayaka Witch's core theme is music? (orchestral music to be exact)
-Speaking of that Sayaka witch, it doesn't look like anything to that witch from the beginning of episode 1
-Aw man.....Kyoko dies as well dam it....wwhhhhhyyyy??!??
Note I didn't watch it with english subs so I would know little on the plot in that episode.
After all the epic theories... QB NOT being the servant of the devil is a mindFFFF really.
He kind of reminds me of, simply an animal...after all, their primary concern is survival/reproduction as opposed to ethics. guessing all of his kind thinks like that.
Go kyouko, Break that witch cycle. kamikaze like a boss!
I had a feeling of what was going to happen in this episode as soon as i started to like Kyouko, it was exactly the same as what happened with Mami, i was on the fence about them up until they had a big heart-to-heart with Madoka, then went into a witches den to die. Sigh. :(

Because that theory was debunked. And yes, the witch domains seem to have a correlation to the magical girls in some way from when they were still human, or at least had a human body. Makes you wonder about Charlotte. Some kind of sweet craving girl? Family owned a bakery (which eventually burned down or something leading her further into despair?)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica 09: Kyubey master troll. Pretty fantastic episode, but it really does look like we'll go until the very last episode before Madoka does anything.
Infinite Stratos 09: FFFFFFFFFFFFHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGG Laura + twin tails + black lace shopan HNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Infinite Stratos 09: Charlotte's attitude change in the beginning nearly ruined the entire anime for me. At least she got a bit better towards the end. :/
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I didn't expect that to happen at the end, but it makes perfect sense about why Kyubey would trick her. I guess we can all now predict how this'll end. I wonder about there being a 2nd season . . Also, Homura still hasn't revealed anything, but it looks like she'll have to very shortly, I'm expecting it in 2 more episodes.
Kyoko stated that Walpurgis Night is a 'strong' witch, not the strongest. Where as Kyubey stated that Madoka would eventually become the strongest. So it shouldn't be, that would be kinda awkward anyways, even if you're joking. :P
Kimi ni Todoke 8:
"More misunderstandings?!"
This was a good episode with a few funny moments. I liked the slow, piano version of the opening song, but right when it got up to the good part they just had to go into montage mode and play the regular song with lyrics. Nice build up at the end, and after 33 episodes of misunderstandings Sawako will finally confess to Kazehaya next episode, hopefully.
Yeah, I felt the same way as well.
"Oh, this piano is ni-"
MONTAGE
"Oh, great."
But yes, it seems like the current arc will come to a close next episode. But we'll see how it all pans out.

We still don't even know if he's telling the truth or not. He's already lied in this episode, so I wouldn't put it past him to be lying to Madoka just to try and force her into making her choice. He tried playing nice guy, he tried playing the trickster that lures her in subtly, and now he's just flat out playing pimento by making her feel guilty. He's just trying a bunch of different methods to make her beccum meguka.
Infinite Stratos 09: That was genius to give Laura twintails! YES! I never expected it... Good episode overall, but man that fan-service was actually done quite well for a change.
Yumekui Merry 09: OH I KNEW IT! I knew crap was hitting the fan. Epic episode, and I can't wait for the next one! I like Play much more after this episode. Though they really need to figure out an answer on how to deal with dream demons in the future now. :/
Hourou Musuko 7: Well, Nitori starting to date Anna was certainly a turn of events. Chiba is definitely the star of this episode though. It almost seems like Nitori's harem is forming now, and he can even be a girl in it too.
Fractale 7: Wow. This was a really good episode. The depiction of the Fractale city Xanadu and the people who lived there was amazing. I really liked the art design of the city. I also enjoyed the reveal about how the simple, agricultural people weren't as they seemed. It seems like this show is set to get even more interesting from here on in.
Madoka Magica 9:
Spoiler
Well, that was certainly a weird explanation for the reason why they create magical girls. However, I doubt that Kyubey would be lying about this as he's told nothing but the truth this whole time and doesn't seem to be capable of or have any motivation to lie. The music theme of Sayaka's witch realm was interesting to watch. Kyoko self-sacrificing herself to stop Sayaka and be with her in the end was rather surprising, but it seems as if I've developed a shock tolerance to this show.
Madoka Magica - 9 - This show is epic trolls. Easily among the best of the season, possibly the year if it has an awesome end to it.
IMO, it's better than anything else I've seen so far. If you count previous season . . . yeah, definitely, because I think only several shows last season held my interests, but I thought they all sucked. Even Ore no Imouto was boring (and yes, I finally caught up, and finished it).

But Kyubey lied in the very same episode. Possible he's telling the truth, I'm just not placing 100% trust on what lies beneath his words. He comes off as some kind of used car salesman that's constantly trying to sucker his clients by hiding all the bad aspects about the cars he's selling and greatly emphasizing the pretty coat of paint. Then when the person's not dumb enough to make a decision right off the bat and bides his time a bit, he can see that the car has a ton of flaws to it. When the salesman realizes that the client knows the dirty secret behind the car, he throws in one final desperation act, which may be trying to appeal to pity by bringing up a story about his family being in need or some crap.
Kyubey's pretty much run out of options at this point. The only way for him to get Madoka to contract with him is to make her feel guilty, to throw pressure onto her. She's not going to take the deal for the shiny paint of coat anymore, because she knows just how bad the car is. So he's given up trying to sell the car to her, because it's a lost cause. Instead, he's trying to pressure her into buying through means that really have nothing to do with the car itself. The line he said to her when he left was enough to make me feel this way. He's basically stating that if she wants to wait around doing nothing while the universe is destroyed, then she can do that, but it'd be her fault when everyone reaches their end. That's a lot of weight to put onto the shoulders of a teenage girl that's had a lot of huge events happen to her in such a short time frame.
Also, I don't really see Kyouko's sacrifice as out of place or too surprising. Copying and pasting from what I posted elsewhere:
Kyouko found out the truth, that magical girls are witches. Ironically, her father was right about his insult, she's pretty much a baby witch. She realizes that if she wants to prevent herself from becoming a witch, she must kill witches, which she now knows are magical girls. She put on a tough girl act before, and said she'd kill Sayaka for getting in the way, but it really seemed more like she was trying to show Sayaka the ropes so that she doesn't end up getting herself killed.
Now she knows that no matter what she does, she'll turn into a witch eventually. So, her last hope was that seeing if it was possible to actually save a witch. When she saw that it was impossible to do so, she figured she might as well go out with a bang than live the rest of her life getting nibbled at by despair until becoming a witch.
She didn't want Homura to interfere. She didn't want to escape. She wanted it to end there.
It seems reasonable to me. I didn't find it too surprising or out of place to see her sacrifice herself. It wasn't because she wasn't strong enough to defeat Sayaka on her own without a FINAL BUSTER. I didn't feel it was out of some romance end, but I won't deny the possibility for those that want to see it that way. For all I know, it could be one of the many factors that contributed to her decision.
Yumekui Merry ep.9 - I knew that teacher was a creeper from the beginning, but I was expecting the bad guy to be that quiet girl Isana was following around. I also have to say that Yumeji has to be one of the best male protagonists I've seen in a long time. He's not a moron and he's not indecisive, both traits that are used far too often with the protagonists of other animes. Great episode!
Edit:
Spoiler
Something else I noticed was that the when Merry beat other dream demons early on, it seemed that their vessels remained unaffected. Much unlike the vessels of the dream demons Play defeated early on. So I'm inclined to believe that Merry has something to do with the dream demons being able to enter reality in the first place, since a power like that should also allow her to send the demons back without causing any mental harm to the vessels.

Where was it that Kyubey lied in the episode? I think that now that he's been found out, he wants to disclose his true purpose to Madoka in a vain attempt to see if she will listen to his reasoning and logic, even though he knows from experience that this is not usually the case with teenage girls and she probably will not be swayed. I wouldn't think that Kyubey is that desperate (considering he doesn't possess emotions). He acts to conserve the energy balance in the universe, or whatever you want to call it, from a purely reasoned and logical standpoint of not wanting the world to end but has no emotional attachment to his cause, so I think it would follow that he would not take action of out desperation. He has even less reason for concern now that he believes Madoka will have to become a magical girl to stop the witch that comes on Walpurgis Night.
I agree that Kyouko's death wasn't a big surprise and was definitely not out of place, especially now after reflecting on what you said. I'd like to think that Kyouko was serious in her first fight with Sayaka and then started to care for her, when she saw her former self reflected in Sayaka, which is why she didn't want Sayaka to make the same mistakes that she did. I'm not some huge Sayaka x Kyouko shipper, but the silhouetted outlines of the two and Kyouko's final words to Sayaka saying that she didn't want her to be lonely being by herself definitely led me to believe there was something there. The things you mentioned definitely played a large role in Kyouko's decision, but I think the romance part was a factor as well.
So the way I see it, there's four possible ways this can end.
Mai-HiME End: The dead people get deus ex resurrected at the end, and everyone is happy forever. In the context of Madoka, they find an alternate power source that isn't humans, and some resurrection happens somehow too. I don't see this as particularly likely though, considering the tone so far.
Bad End/Higurashi End: Obviously, bad end is bad. Things don't turn out so well for Homura, and everything is keikkaku doori for Kyuubey. Or maybe Kyuubey dies too. The point is that humankind and/or the universe ends up completely boned. The Higurashi end, where we try again with another go through the timeline next season, is optional. Honestly, I think that any variation on this ending is totally possible.
Panty & Stocking End: Cliffhanger/To be continued. Not entirely sure why, but I don't feel that this will happen.
[b]True End:[b] Things are concluded in a creative way that I can't think of because I'm not that creative. The important aspect of this end would be Madoka not being dead or otherwise unhappy. Even though this is your usual end for most shows, I'm not totally convinced this will happen with Madoka. Mebbie.
So how do you all think it'll end?
Also...
KyokoSaya. It all makes sense now. Totally shipping this. Now off to /u/...
