Ahhhhhh, ok. That makes more sense to me even if I'm not aware of what the joke entails.
Yeah she did, assuming we're talking about the same mouse? lol.
I know you'll do a great job of running events, bc unlike most others I have a better idea of how involved you actually are. So best of luck with everything! LF> you to battle mage it up with me still though.
If you have absolutely no wish to participate in moderation, you shouldn't be dabbling into its waters. In the event that you (even with the most reasonable excuse in this world and the next) choose to retain the smallest portion of authority, the truth remains that YOU chose to do it, or that Eos had such plans, or whatever it may suggest to each doubtful mind.
After all, with your main role having nothing to do with giving out punishment, it's only fair that you save yourself some time and us some trouble.
Ah, well. Its not like Tal will make it her life mission to see what you're doing wrong, so I don't see what all the butthurt is all about.
Plum is my favorite fruit so was the first thing to come to mind.
Why is such an obvious fruit like plum not used as a censor yet?
Don't think I've worked with vBulletin before (I think I've have modded for one before, but that was years ago).
I'm fairly sure this could be done rather easily with user permission adjustment. Create a new usergroup and grant it permission to post threads in site announcements. But why would Eos go through that trouble? Even if her primary purpose on the team isn't to dish out infractions, Eos doesn't mind if there's a time where nobody else is on to handle it and she steps in.
While I don't really have an opinion on whether this person moderates or not, but Eosian could have created an off-shoot group of either Super Mods or Admins and given her access to post in Site Announcements, there isn't really a need to place her into the Super Mod usergroup when he could have whipped up a custom group with everything she needed to do her job besides to save time. Or that he did indeed want her to moderate if such a thing came into her path.
I can see why it would concern people, but it's not really a big deal.
Ahh, then I suppose we have different mice in mind =P. Though I think you'd like mine, as she forced me to not be lazy and actually log instead of just shooting a text or something to congradulate =P. I'll PM you about Bmages as to not get off topic.
For all the "concerns" of how much authority she has, legitimate or not, are we all forgetting that it takes a bigger person to have power and not use it than to simply not use it because its not there?
Plain and simple, give her a chance and watch her blow you away.
This.
I just want a simple Y/N answer and we all move on. If you don't do moderation, both sides get less pomegranate to deal with, if you do, you must have your reasons and I'll hate you for it and you won't care. Everyone moves on either way, I'm just proposing a solution to put a minor issue at rest. If it had been made clear from the start, I'm guessing Rick would've just agreed to disagree.
