Whatever it is, it's something that the versalians were aware of, and possessions of Crimsonheart don't apply to that... Are we even sure that Versal has a moon? It might not you know.
It's supposed to be Versalian language, so it's not going to translate to english via google. Just use Elpam's Star of Night.
I do think that the Versal masters might be doing what they think is right... but attacking NLC certainly doesn't mean they're good guys. Whatever it is they do with the plot line it can't change the fact that the monsters that exist now are monsters, so they have to work around that.
Even if Versal has a moon, its highly likely you wouldn't be able to see it(for the most part at least). At most, you might see an eclipse during versalmas, an outline on a regularly star filled night, or possibly a reflection of the sun from certain angles(crescent moon). The last one would only work if the sun is at the right place on the other side of this funny world(I'm running with the idea that the maple world its likely flat)
.
Again, the idea of what makes a good villain is a good discussion tool.
There is a chance the Versal Grandmasters believe its for the good of it all(to save their world, someone must die, and if not them, us).
Then again, they can always be a comically inspired villains of lore, doing it not cause it benefits them, but because its evil(cue song about how its good to be a self aware terminology).
Its a bit complex, but interesting to see how it will eventually go down(read:We win).
Whats interesting is that while it may be an item, Elpam give us a translation. Think of it like what would happen if you went to a superstitious town in Europe, one that still lived in fear of specific folk creatures.
How would you you be told a story about a piece of Folklore?
Would you hear a direct translation of a giant wolf, or a werewolf?

When they give you nothing to go off of, you need to find everything that is plausible from what you already have. T becoming two ls is completely possible. I mean nexon doesn't want to make things as easy as Maple-> Elpam. They obviously anted up and made everything harder (perfect example is the Mansion to the Forest, the forest was MUCH harder then the mansion maze). or you can split a solid T in half and then you get 2 Ls

Even if you don't change the letters, you get nalle. Lets avoid changing letters and try to find some other significant artifact that creates noille?
Well, if noille = ellion and noille + nalle = antellion, then nalle = ant.
(Yay for using algebra on words!)
Does 'nalle' mean 'ant' in any language? ...
Meh, probably not.
Hmm well if you look at it a different way, putting the first letter of Nalle at the back makes Allen, and putting the last letter of Ant at the front makes Tan.
I don't think this thought train is going anywhere, feel free to mess with it some more though ._.
Noille doesn't seem to be a word from any language but Nalle means bear or teddy bear in finnish. Noille is pretty close to the word Noel in french which means Christmas so.....Christmas Bear???
this made me think of something, but its a bit out there. If you were reading the responses of the Q/A, Isaac asked when we could go into the afluent tower (being the Eifle tower [sic >_>]) and Proses response was (not exact) "who says its a tower :)" This makes me think that the tower might be the eventual link to Versal, seeing as Noille is close to Noel in french (french tower + french words = hint?) but like i said, this is way out there.
maybe this could tie in with versalmas? maybe the boss has 1000000000 hp(just a random huge number) and guaranteed does 1 damage more than your current hp/mp(like the 1/1 attack with 2 more damage) and in order to survive it's attack, you must equip the 'Noille Nalle' or in my interpretation, the silver deputy star. currently, Lita's quests are randomly there, but doing this would tie lita's quests into the story
found something insteresting in your texts- glimmer man is a versalian:
Spoiler
Holy crap! What do you think we'll find here?
4914.1.2 I have a hunch that Subani left something here. I remember when I explored the Sphinx Chamber, I discovered an old legend that was eerily similar to that of Subani and Naricain. It also foretells that the act that created the Dark Scrolls was not their final battle. I'm not sure what we'll find, but I'm sure it pertains to that. It also mentioned another world... Another world? Elpam's outside, have you spoken with him?
4914.1.3 Not yet, he smells a bit too much like old cheese... but if he really is from where he said, I might have to...
4914.1.yes.0 Ok, kid, get going! Return to me soon, and I should have more information!
4915.0.0 Right on time! We've got a problem...
4915.0.yes.0 Ok, I "borrowed" a few robots from Foxwit's hidden lab to help me decipher the markings, but the second they finished, those frigging robots went nuts! It was like they were being controlled...Anyways, they have the #bMesoGears Map Pieces#k. All of #b50#k of them. I'll need you to hunt them down and bring them back so I can start assembling the map. I'll poke around a bit in the MesoGears and see what I can find...
4915.1.0 A+ plus, kid. Truly outstanding! I'll start putting those pieces together right now!
I'm just wondering... Have you heard from your brother yet?
4915.1.1 No...we haven't spoken for a while now. I hope something hasn't happened to him... You mentioned another world in the prophecy; do you think we could travel there?
4915.1.2 You know, that's probably a better question for Elpam or The Glimmer Man. But I will say this, trouble's gonna find you anyway, so you might as well have fun looking for it! Ok. Time for me to get back on the map. Before that, I've got something for you.
4915.1.yes.0 Might not be the treasure we wanted off the bat, but when I'm done putting this map together, you and I are going hunting, Barricade Bros. style!
so, versal = another world. [lol at another world *ehm*]
and as john barricade said, glimmer man is also a versalian- because he mentioned elpam gorlab too [and we know who elpam gorlab is- a versalian.]
do you think this is the tie that NXProse talked about with amoria and masteria? because glimmer man has some connection to amoria.. [APQ.]
Edit:
some more stuff i've noticed:
Spoiler
John and Elpam both mentioned another world, Versal. What do you know about this?
4920.0.4 Well, there's a rumor that a portal can be opened somehow from within the city, but I'm not sure how that's possible.
What do you mean? You built this city.
4920.0.5 Correction-I rebuilt this city. The foundations are still there, as is some of the technology; you've probably seen some of it when you were outside the city. There's some stuff that just works, and I don't mean the Foxwit Doors themselves-I mean the energy that powers them. Foxwit is a genius and some of that is way beyond even his understanding. I'm a bit wary of using it all, just because of the old tales of Masteria-the immortal warriors, a mad scientist, a threat from the stars, some of their legends are pretty heavy stuff. In addition to that, this is where Subani and Naricain are originally from. Not the city, another region of Masteria. John probably mentioned that.
Just level with me, Icebyrd. Tell me what you know.
4920.0.6 Ok, but keep this a secret, don't want people panicking. The Masteria of old was a sprawling utopia, one far advanced in technology. However, their ambition far outstripped their control of the technology, and there was an accident. Masteria, the great land, finally fell into the sea, its secrets lost forever. Until now. I made a deal with someone to raise the continent, and establish the city in the ruins of Olde Sapp Village. He brought my dream to life, and it cost me next to nothing. And that's where we are now. However, the city has many, many secrets that even I don't know about. Tread carefully; you never know what can open up...
Ok, I know what how it was raised, but who raised it? What did you have to do?
4920.0.7 That's a bit personal, but I will say this-if there's ever a time when you need to know more, I'll tell you. Until then, don't worry about it. That burden is mine alone to bear. For now, just let me give you a gift for the appreciation of helping our city.
4920.0.yes.0 Where did I put it... Just give me a second and talk to me, ok?
1.about the portal, keep it in your mind for the next text i'll bring on
2.the deal.. uhm.. there are two options- the versalians, or the alchemist.
3.i think we can already understand the first part of the known sentence- "the immortal warriors, a mad scientist, a threat from the stars" - this is CWK.
now, the last text:
Spoiler
4916.0.0 Hello, my name is Elpam Gorlab. I am in need of assistance, do you think you can spare a moment?
Yes. At the very least, you can tell me why you look so different.
4916.0.1 Ah. Therein lay the tale of my current predicament. I am from Versal. It is best described as a parallel dimension to the Maple World, as many things are different, yet familiar. I travel here for certain occasions to observe the people that inhabit this land. However, this time when I traveled here, I noticed that I was in a strange place. In speaking with the one called Icebyrd Slimm, I discovered my calculations were off due to the appearance of the new land, Amoria. I need to get home, but I have to adjust my enchanted compass first. I will need 30 Elpam Magnets to do this properly?I believe the Barnard Grays are the only creatures in this world that may have them. I have translated this to your Quest Journal from my native language. I wish you luck, and shall await your return!
Tell me more about your world, Versal.
4916.0.2 It can be thought of as the mirror dimension for the Maple World. There are similarities, but many differences as well. For instance, you may have noticed my last name is a monster here. In our world, they are benevolent creatures, and it is a mark of honor to be associated with them. It seems strange to me that they are so fearsome here... Would you help me?
4916.0.yes.0 If I am to re-calibrate this compass, I'll need more #bElpam Magnets, 30 to be exact#k. I await your return.
4916.1.0 Yes! This will do it. I can now adjust my enchanted compass! Thank you so much!
4916.1.yes.0 If you should have the time, please see me again, for I require a final task.
4917.0.0 So glad to see you, friend. I've got the compass adjusted, but could still use a hand if you're willing to lend it.
Sure, as long as you give it back.
4917.0.1 Ha. Ha. Ha. That was a joke, as you call it? Fascinating. I'll need to travel back to the exact moment that everything went haywire. Doing so will allow me to go to my intended place and get home as normal. However, I'll need #b60 Temporal Fragments#k to give me enough time to do it. I believe the creatures you refer to as Tick-Tocks will have them, although it is a rather rare item. I will remain here until your return.
4917.0.yes.0 I will need #b60 Temporal Fragments#k if I am to make the journey home. Please acquire them, and return to me.
4917.1.0 Fantabulstanding work! My apologies if that phrase did not turn out the way I planned. I can now make the journey home.
Hold on, Hold on! I have questions... like... tell me something crazy about Versal!
4917.1.1 Very well, you have aided me, the least I can do is tell you a few tidbits about my home. The creature known as Mushmom is the most dangerous creature there...and she's not alone.
WHAT?
4917.1.2 Your surprise is expected, but nevertheless, it remains the truth. It puzzles me as to why she is regarded as cute and lovable here...
Why are you so pale?
4917.1.3 Hmm. I do not believe my skin to be pale, it is a natural pigment. The sun only shines in Versal for a period of...3 munf? No, 3 months...out of one...what do you call them...year? I believe that is the correct measurement. At any rate, it is nice to see the sun glow so brightly here for an extended period.
How do you get there?
4917.1.4 I am still working on my way back, but when I do figure out how to bring others there, I will most assuredly notify you. In the mean time, in return for your effort, here is something I found between worlds.
4917.1.yes.0 May it serve you well and see you around!
maybe Elpam Gorlab is the "portal" to versal..? the quest isn't a high lvl quest, so.. possible :P
but regards all the texts, i don't understand for what purpose Elpam Gorlab came to the maple world?
could he possibly being the evil guy, that did a deal with Icebyrd Slimm to bring back masteria? Icebyrd Slimm doesn't tell anything about that, but i do think the sentence "a threat from the stars" refers to the veralian world.
No Glimmer man isn't Versalian, if he was he'd understand the Communique, which he didn't. He told you to ask Glimmer Man because he was knowledgeble about other worlds. He hasn't, though, traveled different dimensions.

edited my post, check it again please
however, why would glimmer man being a knowledgeable about other worlds as versal? doesn't make sense..
I'm pretty sure Glimmerman is an alien. In that quest when he tells you to go see Elpam and Glimmerman, The Glimmerman said that he has travels many worlds. But if you keep reading all the theorys he has on the Communique was from allien worlds such as a slug world and something else that i cant remember right now. After you finish talking to him he asks you to go see Elpam so if he was versalian then he would have figured it out instead of making you to go Elpam
wow, that's good speculation there. Even though it's been said and disregarded, I think now it's plausible to say that Elpam may not be on our side. We know that the Evil Grandmasters have a spy in NLC and that Masteria was most likely transported to Versal.
I forgot where he said it, but Elpam said something about how he comes to the Maple World to "watch" us, or something like that. That may no longer be friendly attention.
Does that mean we're helping the Versal Mushmom? o_O

He's not even an alien, he was a human mage who learned to turn his skin into diamond, which allowed him to travel through space.
As for the earlier speculation it seems wayyy off. The Versalians are certainly aware of our world, but if the Mayor had dealt with them he'd have recgonized Elpam as one instantly. Also, dimensions are different from planets or worlds, so Versal as an alternate dimension wouldn't have anything to do with stars.
The alchemist is a bad guy. For all we know (and it seems pretty likely) he was responsible for Masteria's disappearance in the first place. Why would he bring it back?
As for Elpam being a bad guy, it's pretty laughable... You have to think of this in the context of an MMO with a static world. If Elpam randomly defects at some later point, what becomes of his quests? What about all the quests that have his quests as prerequisites? Not exactly fair to cut people out of a pretty large portion of story when you take into account what all he's involved with. (The Mansion isn't an applicable comparison because it's self-contained. There's a handful of references to it here and there, but you can get by in Masteria without knowing anything about it. You could even call it filler. XD)
Because of this, I don't think that they will do anything so drastic. Elpam may be like, "I have a confession to make, I've been working against you all this time. I see the error of my ways and will instead help you now." But that's about as bad as it can get.
Well that's true, but we still have a few things we need to question, 1 being who is the 'Spy', 2: who brought back Masteria and 3: how did it dissapear
