I like the cleric and priest changes, it seems it will be more active while still being a supporter.
Remember the favorite "LOLFP"? Yeah, that's still here in KMST. I/Ls and Clerics became amazing. We still suck. ggNexon.
To answer both of these posts, yeah, we are still way behind. Unless they remove the boss flags from DoT and let our DoT factor into our single target DPS (which might actually be an interesting fix to let us deal more damage in a different way without drastically changing, removing, or adding anything), we're the ultimate LOLMAGE class. What Nexon still doesn't seem to get is that DoT damage is only useful during 3rd Job, when it ensures fast solo training at many mobs. But as we all know, the speed of the game dictates that the classes who can deal the most damage in the shortest amount of time always win. In other words, the DoT system of MapleStory, as it currently works, is utterly useless as it pales in comparison to everything else.
WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT AROUND FOR OUR DAMAGE TO BE DEALT. FIGURE OUT YOUR OWN DAMN GAME, NEXON. YOU'RE SCREWING US.
That's about it. DoT's crap in MapleStory, and unless the system changes and it can be useful on bosses we're effectively a worthless mobbing class. Thank god I leveled an Aran to 4th Job, because at the rate things are going I'm just going to keep my LOLFP an APQ mule.
Fiel, Can you tell me what the new Delay for Brave Slash is?. The way you mention it makes it seem like it was nerfed (increased) instead of decreased.
I wonder if the new Advanced combo boosts make coma and panic more usefull while training.
Oh and before it starts, Firemages, stop f'ucking asking for a bossing skill, You just pineappleing got a pomegranateload of improvements but youi're not fking satisfied because you are not as strong against single targets as Ice Mages? Go fk yourselves.
When the strongest mob in the game has 300k+ (oblivion 4 mobs, forgot how much they have exactly) i'd say DoT is more useful. I don't think them adding it to these skills is the same as them saying you should train like mist mages do. It's just something that will help with each mob to take them down faster.
What I've noticed is that each class is better on its own way. DKs have mastery, Night Lords have critical, I/L seem to have raw power...
And all of them apparently balanced. Or at least getting to it.
That's because it was, byakugan. Brave slash went from 720 ms to 1020ms .
Sigh...
so Now we are back to were we started with Brandish being stronger than Brave Slash, which now has a smaller range. Now Brave slash goes from being the first skill that you have to max in 4th job to a "not so important" that you might max around lvl 160. Stupid Nexon, Just make teh freaking delay the same as brandish.
I/L's are going to be great bossers for sure now, but where does that leave us F/p's? It seems they want F/p's to be more mobbing oriented, which really doesn't help us. Our ultimates already had plenty potential at Zak Arms/HT body, but that didn't get us into bosses, I just can't see how Paralyze can work well for bossing dps at its current state, nor do I see F/p's being a really fast training class. Evans would not only train faster but have higher 1v1 potential, and a support skill.
But with paralyzes range you can hit a lot of monsters at once, which makes you ridiculous at almost every major boss fight...
Its possible with the higher range, but Mages were never favored first place even with such potential in said situations. I can hit plenty of boss parts using FW/EQ on my Evan as well, along with being more affected by SE/Thorns/Crit Ring and providing a useful party skill.
Fk me? Screw you guys. You don't get how this game works, apparently, since you've never played a DoT class as well as your main DPS Hero and Buccaneer classes. This is how it works: the person who deals the most damage the fastest wins. I've been at Zakum runs before where the NLs and BMs have contests to see who can dodge the pillars more while still attacking, because if one even stops for a SECOND they'll lose the KS and thus the EXP.
And you think this is going to "HELP" us train more efficiently at higher HP mobs? Think again:
Please tell me where my DoT helps this 143 Hero who is DECIMATING HIGH HP MOBS IN A COUPLE SECONDS. Even with a Brave Slash delay increase, the skill will still be killing mobs faster than us by FAR. What DoT means is that every SECOND I can do, oh, a couple thousand damage. That doesn't mean a pineappleing thing if another class can have the monster KILLED in the same amount of time.
Get with the program before you tell me to pineapple myself. DoT is CRAP in this game.
EDIT:
Are you pineappleing kidding me Sylv. Please tell me where mobbing is useful in reducing the boss HP at Papulatus, Pianus, Zakum body, Dragon Rider, Manon, Griffey, Dodo, Lilynouch, Lyka, Pink Bean, HT prelim heads...
What an absolutely asinine statement of yours.
I never said attack the mobs and move on. I said kill the mobs on sight. DoT is just a slight bonus, not an effective way of killing. I'm agreeing with you but with a slight twist.
Wow. Seems like Nexon is refusing to take away Shadow partner. Blah, I guess now all I can do is hope Nexon doesn't pomegranate on NLs and actually makes them a lot better...
Otherwise they'll be building us a bandwagon just so they can hop on it.
