I've got a 109/7 attack sky ski, and a 115/5 attack pinaka. The skis have slightly more DPS, but I use the pinaka since it will make me 4 hit typhons like 95% of the time.

Should I sell the skis? I don't need the accuarcy, I can get 17x with a MoN so that should be enough. And how much money could I get for them? (khaini)

Also, wich of these equips should I upgrade first?

9 att WG
6/3/3/3 blue belt
8 str 5 acc top (clean)
3/3 bottom
115/5 pinaka or 109/7 skis
7 blessing (I got a level 72 DW and 71 sniper, too lazy to train)
clean ic2
7 str shoes
dep

Where is the best place to train solo? I'm wondering because I can't always find a priest and want to use a 4 hour 2x exp card soon.
I'm hybrid.

What's the current Cookie Cutter Page SP build?
19/20 Mastery
20 Booster
30 FA (Save up and add 21/30 SP?)
3 Threaten
20 PG

Then 18 SP after that for what ever? Threaten post kMST Balance patch... Who would go Hybrid? I can see going Hybrid if Nexon combined all the charges into one: One Holy charge for sword and BW. One Fire, etc. o_o

CC is usually the following:
6 mastery
6 booster
max mastery
max FA (Either incrementally or by adding in all points in the end. Incrementally if you're planning on 1-3 monsters per mob, buffing if you're planning on using slash-blast the most)
3 Threaten
max pg
max booster
max threaten

Threaten is maxed last because it's not worth it during normal training compared to other skills.

Pretty much, since being hybrid provides no advantages, and only serves as a way to be "different".
Unlike a Hybrid DK, who have two specific skills that cater to one weapon or the other, each with its own advantage, a paladin has 4 charges that come in 2 different weapons. By becoming a hybrid, a Paladin is actually making it more difficult for themselves, since a BW charge and a Sword charge both add the same damage no matter which weapon you use.

@ kranten

why are you spearing at typhons xD with max roar you should be luring enough to almost always have a mob of 6+ on you 0_0
besides, polearm is much better for aggroing if someone cc's into your map f3 roar once maybe and fury the rest back at you xD

i personally have never tried galloperas that level, so you could try giving those a go...super crowded though. xD

and, himes + priest is almost def the best party exp, but i think typhons is a close second ... as long as you don't fall too much ~_~
although you should give gallops a go, the spaw there is quite good ;3

For those who have used basil may have saw this question yesterday but I'm just getting general consensis. Plus I find SP much more reputable in the logic department.

I'm planning on making an end game spear. I probably won't be oblivion 4ing frequently, mostly bossing and skelegons. My attack equips by the end of all this (excluding weapon) probably will be around 57 weapon attack on average by the finishing of my upgrades. Currently it's around 37. As you can see massive all around upgrade.

With that said, would a perfect sky ski be in my better interest, or a perfect slow spear (falt/reverse)?

Thanks.

Rough estimate: 100 att clean sky skis, +5 str 115 att clean reverse -> 145 att skis, 160 att reverse, let's say 161 and ignore the 5 str. You can also use your own numbers

Without SI: Skis operate at 990/930 premium so 6.45% aspd boost,
With SI: 870/810 -> 7.41%

1.0645 x (57 + 145) = 215 -> 215 - 57 = 158 att reverse to match. So reverse will be better in this scenario, but remember att pots will change everything.
1.0741 x (57 + 145) = 217 = 160 att reverse matching, so reverse is still better by a bit.

I did not factor in DEX, and in this case, it will favour with more attack, so for sure reverse is better. But as you can already tell, reverse is only better by so little, it's better to go with skis to future-proof yourself. And I don't even think you factored blessing or even att ring. (8 cape, 19 gloves, 8 shoes, 11 naricain, 3 lilin, 7 belt, 7 blessing from aran ring, that's already 63 att by my standard and that's pretty reasonable if you're thinking about perfecting a weapon) And this is without a warrior pot, so that's easily 75 att base without weapon.

1.0645 x (75 +145) -> 234 - 75 = 159 reverse
1.0741 x (75 + 145) = 236 - 75 = 161 reverse

So reverse still wins under normal circumstances. With better attack pots or apples, skis will be better. So it looks like personal perference to you, reverse will get like a couple more att from levelling too.

You'll also 1hko skeles a lot earlier with the reverse, but you'll never be able to sell it.

Edit: Oh, so you're Gemini. Didn't know that.

Well it seems at this point it's giving up a tiny bit of damage for resell value? Now my predicament is finding enough 50's in khaini to attempt this feat. I'm considering to go sky ski's because I can MTS transfer them through worlds and gives me more available 50's. However I can't do that with the reverse. I guess it's also impuslive of me to assume that the plat scissors are coming out with Evan.

So because of the limited 50's in khaini should I go with the sky ski's in order to widen my access to them, or suck up 10%'s. I currently only have access to 4 50's which will probably end up landing on 2. So thats 7 slot's i have to 10% spam lol.

I have, and always will be, an advocate for sky skis. There's so much to be gained through the additional accuracy and attack speed. A measley 10-15 attack from a higher level spear won't be as big of a factor in the later levels as you might think. If you boss a lot that makes your choice all that much easier.

11. Default

I second this.

Comparing a perfect ski to a perfect reverse in later levels is rather silly, as the DPS from the ski far outweighs that of the reverse. Just factoring in other equips, blessing, plus apple (which you'll be using the majority of the time while bossing anyway) makes skis the more effective spear. As for training, you'll reach a point where you 100% ohko skeles regardless, in which case skis will get the job done a little faster. 100% ohkoing chief oblivion guards requires a minimum of 50k x3 crusher hits, so you'll most likely be 2-hitting those for a very long time. In this case you'll opt for skis as well, since even in the lower levels 2-hitting COGs is incredibly easy to pull off with a decent ski.

Really never got in to the one hand sword bandwagon so i don't know much about them. So my question on what to buy/do:

What att does a Executioners and a red katana have to be to surpass my two hand sword which is 124 att u/h. Never really cared about my sword, pac,wg,shoes come before final weapon

Also what att shield should i get? I heard i need a 20+ shield and a 140 att one hand in order to even come close to a 2hand sword with 130 att

13. Default

Executioners needs 6% more total attack, Red Katana needs 5.5% less total attack to match the 2h

Eg. if you have 124 (sword) + 60 (gear) + 100 (pot), 6% more would be 17 more atk, or sword+shield of 141 total. 5.5% less would be 13 less atk, or sword+shield of 109 total atk. Without Apples the executioners would need less atk and the RK would need more atk to match up.

14. Default

Mmm, I'm pretty set on upgrading to a Executioners upon 4th job, but I'd like to know for sure what attack I'd need(provided, I've no shield yet) to match my current set up, then how much would be needed to pass it.

My current stats+weapon

My total WAtk is 127 at the moment, will be 137 by 120. My shoes are only 3/4, but will be switched with 10/8 Grabbe(if average before my gems/leveling) at 120. [Doing this to have DEX require for my NRW in case I need it for range, while being able to switch my PAC to a STR/pure atk one from DEX. >_<]

So yeah, how much atk would my Executioners have to be to match/beat my NRW, provided I won't have an atk shield, with my other upgrades(listed above) by 120?
Thanks in advance. D:

I'd stick with the NRW. You'd need like a 140+ 1h weapon (or lower if you have an attack shield) to match it?

130+ att 1H and a 15-17+ attack shield.

But what Kevo said: Stick with 2H until you get enough money (and hundreds of millions, literally) to upgrade to a decent 1H/shield combo that can match (or beat) the 2H sword you're wielding right now.

17. Default

I do intend to stick with the NRW, but I'd like a 1h for later/to use when I'm bored of seeing the same weapon 24/7. But 140+ to match it? x_x
SP's damage calc shows I'd have 2575 ~ 4635 with my current set up and those upgrades at 120(without changing pac's).
It shows I'd have 2527 ~ 4530 with a 129/14 sword(9 60%'s on a 111/5 clean maker'd sword I don't have yet). Even though the ranges are near the same, I'd need the 1h to be 11+ atk stronger than that to match it? D:
Sorry, I've no idea on 1h vs 2h comparisons. ):

To be clear, I just want the 1h to switch up between it and my NRW to reduce boredom. :/

Will DK's ever be able to compete DPS-wise with Heroes and Paladins? Assuming all three classes are dexless with the best weapon they can use.

I want to make a DK, but I'm also a damage whore =[ I don't want to make one and make it godly, just to see some Hero or Paladin come along and kill my damage just because his class mechanics are better.

Is it worth it? Do DK's do alot of damage?

(Note: I only have a decent amount of knowledge about DrKs)

DKs (or DrKs) can also bust out big damages. This augments during 4th job, but comes with a "hitch".

But besides the 4th job handicap, given the right equips, yes DrKs can shine DPS-wise. For example, if you boss with a good pair of Skis (high 11x att-12x+ att), have SI and Apple, that's the best DPS combo you could have for a DrK in a bossing situation.

Don't worry about being a damage whore, first thing. If you want to make a DK, just build it up step by step, and not worry about "great performance". Eventually you'll see the results you desire.
