When training at roids, Would it be more efficient to mob them with CKSB and SSK. Or just going around and using straight? Also, what level should I stick at truckers to? I plan on going their at 50.
Currently level 43
Im a thunder breaker btw.
Edit: Nevermind. Wasn't bad I guess :D

Guys, Im trying to optimize my key settings but its still pretty uncomftorable.
Can you guys give me advice on how to change it?
here's a pic :

How are your fingers placed? On all my characters I have my left hand over the home row like I'm typing, and my thumb to jump. That gives you easy access to 15 keys - enough for all your skills+buffs, and you can move all your menus somewhere else.
My Brawler has
W = Double Upper
A = Backspin
S = Flash Fists
D = Somersault Kick
F = Corkscrew
I'm looking for a little insight/opinions, and thinking out loud a bit. Here goes. Advance apologies to you tl;dr types.
It is my objective to be wearing a Reverse gun without bumping my base strength from 50. This is easy. I'd also like to be able to lose my 10str 3att PAC and still achieve this. This is also simple enough. I'd prefer to scroll my OA for as much dex as possible. Lastly, my glove is a bit of a wildcard in my decision making process. Money is a minimal issue for what I plan, assuming scrolling things isn't a dismally pomegranatety process. Just don't tell me to go buy 5att Facestompers and I'll be able to afford all this by Christmas methinks.
The Makered goods I am/plan to be working with Mostly using Adv. Power and Int. Dex, assuming no help from stims
White Pioneer - 11str, 5dex clean
Black Markintz - 10str, 8dex - Already made
Black Shellduke - 8str, 7dex clean - Looking for 9-11att before hammer. These are challenging, since they'd have to be able to replace 13att SCGs. More on the gloves later
Current Scenario
50 base, 15 Zak, 5 MoN, 2 quest medal, 2 ring, 10 cape, my unmakered 20 OA.
I'm currently at 104str using my Concerto. Swapping out my Stompers for my spiffy new shoes brings me to 114, and then a mediocre belt will finish the job with the patch coming up. This is my "in the meantime" way to wear the gun, which I only need 6 more pieces of time to make (yay!)
Scenario 1 - Lose the cape, make the gloves
In addition to base, helm, MoN, medal, and ring above, I'm looking to get (these are minimum estimates) 3 str goggles, scroll some mediocre glittering altairs for another 2 str, and lowballing a red belt at 8str. 74str from above plus another 13 brings me to 87 off common equips, which allows me to wear the lvl80 OA for another 11 str, plus 10 from shoes and 8 from gloves, brings me to 116. There are several options for filling in the gap, and these apply to the next scenario as well.
Any combination of the following:
- Pass a 30% OA strength, or a 60% or two. Obviously the easiest option, but again, my goal is to maximize the dex on this.
- Get more Artifact rings. I'm not terribly keen on this, as it isn't really in the budget, but I then remind myself they're a better deal than goggles in terms of cost per stat
- Potentially better common stuff. Depending on how much ease I have getting my first red belt, I may try tossing a 30% on one and go for 9 or 11str. I could also get 3str glittering altairs, or even man up and slap a chaos on one. Again, chaosed earrings aren't exactly in my planned budget. But I've got all the time in the world to make money.
-A little luck with stims. I already failed a 9str shellduke I made last night.
-The new cape. I'm thinking something like 6att with 0-6 dex or strength. I can't remember the last time I saw a prescrolled high attack PAC with strength, so I really couldn't count on this until I actually find one worth buying. This is one of the last thing I plan on buying, however.
-Anything else?
Now then, about that glove. It's going to be exceedingly difficult and expensive to top a 13att SCG with a standard glove. Not to mention hammers. Figuring 5 stats is more or less worth 1 attack, I'd definitely need to shoot for the 11att 15 stat shellduke to be comparable, but I'd probably be willing to settle for 9att if my gun comes out well. I'd like to hammer whatever glove I end up with, as well as my gun someday or another. But then what? What if I +2 the SCG to 17att and +0 the shellduke, or vice versa? The best solution I can come up with is to hammer the SCG first, and if it comes out +1 or +2, move on to scenario two and don't go for the shellduke. Should that fail, go for the shellduke. Only drawback is, again, expenses I hadn't really accounted for until 15 minutes before this post. I can't sell my FS or SCG once I swap them out, since I share them with my Shadower and eventually Aran. At the same time though, who knows how many attempts it'll take to get a shellduke scrolled well enough. I already failed one and blew up another last night. Now then, onward we go.
Scenario 2 - Lose the cape, don't make new gloves
Same as above mostly
50 base, 15 helm, 5 MoN, 2 medal, 2 ring. Assume the following: 3 goggles, 2 earring, 8 belt
->87str
11str OA clean, 10str shoes
->108str
A nice, 12 str gap to fill. Using the same list of options above, properly scrolling my OA for strength would probably be the simplest choice, then dex with whatever spare slots I have. Only downside is that this might prevent me from making use of any future equipments or scrolls that give me more strength options. For example, if we get better medals, or something new like what happened with these Miwok rings, I'd love to go back and scroll a dex belt. End goal is to have the 120 strength with little to nothing scrolled for strength. I'm thinking partially scroll the OA, something like +7 strength to it (1 30, 1 60), then fill in the last few strength with odds and ends. If I need to for whatever reason (lack of money maybe), I can stick with my current OA and be at 117 strength following the no-new-gloves scenario.
The last thing I'm having a bit of a time wrapping my head around is how to prioritize all this. I'm thinking I should square away the common equipment first, get a belt, and then see where I'm at. Then hammer my SCG and determine whether or not I'll be going after the Shelldukes. Next, work out the overall. Lastly, get a shiny new cape.
I just need to keep myself from using Maker... these crystals are burning a hole in my head. Must. Use. Eventually.
For those of you who made it all the way through my braindump, my thanks. If you have any opinions or suggestions, my double-thanks.
One thing, it's not worth it to downgrade from your current gloves just so they give you more stats. It's not the end of the world to add a few more points in str.
If you manage to make a stronger equip that also gives you more stats then great =D. Also remember 3.6 str is equal to 1 dex, so having strength is not so much of a drawback as having luk is for mages.
And the madness begins. Anything NOT listed with a level afterwards is maxed out.
Buccaneer keys:
A = Corkscrew Blow
D = Energy Blast
R = Macro for Speed Infusion + Knuckle Booster
T = Knuckle Booster
X = Backspin Blow
C = Double Upper
V = Energy Drain
B = Flash Fist
F = Demolition (level 1)
Shift = Dash
Ctrl = Barrage
Spacebar = Dragon Strike
Y = Somersault Kick
- (dash) = Macro for 2x Energy Blast + Dragon Strike
Home = Super Transformation
Insert = Transformation
*+/= key* = Barrel
Page Up = MP Recovery
U = Double Shot?
J = Shockwave (level 2)
Still need keys in the future for: 1. Snatch 2. Energy Orb 3. Time Leap
I think marauders/buccs are easier on laptops with a numeric pad a-@
i have:
FF on Z (instead of normal att)
DU on CRTL
Corkscrew on ALT
Backspin on Shift
Booster on D
Somersault Kick on C
Blast is on Numeric Pad 1 (END also)
Drain on . + > (normally used for MP pots on other chars)
MP on , + <
HP on V
When i hit Bucc, booster + SI will go onto a macro and be put on +/=, placing DS on D, and possibly taking FF off of Z and putting Barrage there instead.
The whole challenge for me is to not up my base. It's not so much about the max possible damage, this is just the equipment challenge I laid out for myself. I figured I'd go all out and try to pull in as much strength without scrolling as possible. My conundrum lies largely in my inability to come to a conclusive decision on how I'm going to get the strength.
Although, I did just hammer my gloves to 17att, so I'm definitely not making Shelldukes.
One problem solved.
Thanks for actually reading my giant text wall @_@
@Str guy: Adv stuff is extremely rare and expensive for xtals. A clean overall is gonna cost you over 100m easily.
It is possible to hit the "Strless" status of 22~23 str which is hopefully what I can do by the end of the year. 50 base str is pretty easy without str cape/gloves with new additions + future additions coming soon if you got some funds.
currently 138 (been ther for a while. i keep dying xD). But once i do get close to the next level, what would be a good way to go skill wise?
currently maxed DS, 23 barrage, 1 strans/demo/tl/si
My guess is to finish off barrage. Or should i get to 5 SI and try to pass the skill book?
Thanks =)
Definitely go for barrage, then you can start failing SI 20. Then demo or possibly energy orb (hey, it's stronger than DS and spammable!).

Spoiler
@ madanthony: I really wouldn't recommend scrolling those gloves. Not only do you have about an 8% chance of getting 5/5 60%s to work, which wouldn't really replace your SCG, but it would be costing you ~45m in scrolls, not to mention making the glove. If I were you, I would try to get a decent str overall, or maybe even keep your cape (which is actually pretty good). It is quite a challenge to stay low-stat, as I'm trying to equip a King Cent with 35 base dex =X
I'm curious -
Once a bucc has enough SI to get 2 speed ranks added by it, is there any reason they wouldn't simply take booster off their keyboard?
What's the damage for Barrage? It says 230% but obviously does more on the last couple of hits. I can't seem to find 4th job pirate skills anywhere on SP.
