    The "job advancement" system for Beast Tamer sounds pretty interesting.
    I liked the way Zero advanced, the combat progressed to being more complex and the combos felt more complete as time went on.

    With the way Beast Tamer works, the different "modes" get different skills at different times, so you will be constantly changing your strategy as you level up, until you learn all the skills.

    I find that more interesting than "Job Advance = Now use these skills instead"

    Funny, I am doing it right now and it doesn't. It works for the side quests and the key quest, but not the EXP for each room.

    That's odd, it's working on a room by room basis for me
    check your exp bar, the extra exp from the 2x quest won't be listed anywhere, but it will be reflected in how much experience you gain per room

    If it's ever not working, relog or change channels, the quest coupons are a bit wonky with how they activate

    meaning it won't initially work when you take it out of the CS unless you relog

    林之灵为4模式选择职业,分别为:
    巨熊波波、雪豹拉伊、猛鹰伊卡、喵咪阿尔
    同一时间只能选择一个模式进行使用。
    战斗中随时可以使用如下技能变更模式:

    守护模式变更
    使用技能时,可以改变守护模式

    Spirit Tamer [in Mandarin it reads as "Forest Spirit" or equivalent] has 4 modes to choose their job/class, namely:
    Bobo the (giant) bear, Rye the snow leopard, Ika the eagle, and ("Ayer") the cat. [The cat's name directly reads as "ah er"].
    Only one mode can be used at any time.
    While in combat, you may change modes anytime using the following skill such as the following:

    Guardian/Defensive Mode (Change)
    When this skill is used, you can change to Guardian/Defensive Mode

    This job has no job/class change [c.f. Adventurer job changes]. The client's 4 job/class changes refer to the (skills of) the 4 modes.
    Every mode has its set of active and passive skills, and the levels at which the skills are obtained are different, ranging between level 10 and level 120, similar to the skills for Zero.

    Maple Warrior and Spirit Tamer's Will are located at the Beginner's skill section. The effects of the skills are identical to other jobs, and max levels are 30 and 5 respectively.

    该地图叫做亚伯兰,灯笼树村是这里的主城,也是林之灵出生地,林之灵可以用技能回城。亚伯兰大 地图暂时是英 文的,暂时不释出,测试开放后你们就能看到中文的了。

    Beast Tamer's birthplace is in Arbren, located below Commerci. [The following is based on my understanding.] This is classified as Maplestory (overseas edition/version) shared content, 100% sure that it was made by Koreans. The drawing style should be from GMS, and this is the GMS World Map, hence it is not what was previously thought to be a JMS original class/content. Some JMS (loyallists/thinks that JMS is superior) are going to be disappointed, haha.
    [I note that it sounds contradictory, but it's not a mistake in translation.]
    This map is called Arbren, and the main town is the Lantern Tree Village, and is where the Spirit Tamer was born. Spirit Tamer can use a skill to return to town. Currently Arbren's map is in English, and currently will not be translated. When testing is released you can see the Mandarin version then.

    Skill: Return to Arbren
    Returns you to hometown, Arbren Port.


    林之灵使用魔法棒作为武器,英文名是Tamer Stick,韩语官方译名是테이머 스틱,没有日文名。

    Spirit Tamer uses a magic/magical rod/stick as weapon. The English name is Tamer Stick, and the Korean official translation is 테이머 스틱. There is no Japanese name for it. [Note what language was translated to what language].

    So... It was intended as a GMS-original class? I'm confused by this new information. If there are no JP translations for it, how is this supposed to be released in Japan first - coming out in the official servers on January 16th? It just seems to me like Nexon doesn't know what they're doing. All evidence points to this class being designed for GMS.

    I don't think so. Keep in mind that this is an interpretation of the OP who posted that. It is a new class available for all the regions who have the shared Dawnveil content. It is possible that the localization team of NA is in the progress of localizing this content and it maybe ended up in the early CMST client. Note that everything originates in Korean first and gets ported to other regions, who localize it in their version.

    A few examples: untranslated Korean text for the Sengoku classes, when Root Abyss first came out in CMST as well as Commerci. And now it mentions the Tamer Stick weapon.

    The CMST patch isn't even out yet AFAIK, so I don't even know how this information was retrieved.
