Very laggy in the past couple of days.
Started playing my hero again at level 185... already level 193. The class just owns so much and really looking forward to playing the other adventurers.
I lag like I've never lagged before though, only downside from the patch.
So I've visited back my Bucc to see the changes.
Flash Jump?? Not bad. Hmm, no additional damage reduction
Buccaneer Blast? Let's see what else cha-
HOLY F***! THIS is truly a Kamehameha.
Double Blast is amazing...dat long distance
I am thoroughly enjoying my Paladin now. I am used to cycling charges and the Blast buff, even though the system isn't quite fluid, in my opinion. Simply bringing my equips over from my Hayato, I'm already doing 1.3m per line of Lightning Charge, whereas my Hayato can manage only 500k per line of Shinsoku (no boss dmg hyper yet). He's sitting at 87% crit rate now, too, so I don't even need to pick up the crit hyper on Blast. Oh, and that 1 damage thing... MMMMM it's so nice.
However, I am quickly falling out of love with my once-beautiful and trusty BM. How do you even play this crap now?
I wonder if it ends up being the longest distance attack in the game. Not even my other Pirate laser attacks reach so far.
How are you just taking 1 damage on your Pally?
Also, do you use a macro to cycle through the charges quickly? In theory (haven't actually tried it yet), I made a Fire/Ice Charge Macro and an Lightning/Divine Charge Macro so I can go through all 4 really easily without having to eat up 4 keys on my keyboard.
What's wrong with Bowmaster?
Dragon strike is so stupid, they should have put that in 3rd job.
I don't know why I only take 1 damage. Even with Parashock Guard on, I only take 1's on most things. I don't find macros useful for me, but you might. They will work, but you can't spam the macro, or it will start the cycle over with the first one instead of going through the first macro and then starting the new one. I find the timing bothersome and would rather just press four keys. But really, most of the time, I just cycle between Lightning and Divine Charges to get my passive going. No need to resort to Fire or Ice unless I want their added benefits, such as a DoT or whatever.
Hurricane is straight up pomegranate now. My damage on it went way down, although I do enjoy having the option to move during the attack without investing in a hyper skill. 4th job mob attack is ugly as sin. The turret is icky to use. I mean, I can place it easily, but during a few rounds of DIpq, I quickly found it just doesn't manage to hit exactly what I want it to hit. Bah, I just don't like this revamp.
On the plus side you can maneuver the area around you better because i can't break 140% speed, nor have instant 100% stance. I did not know you couldn't octopush into laser. I wonder if it will be the same for cannoneers when we get monkeypush.
Pirates looking pretty damn balanced now.
And now there's an exploit out. Apparently, there's talk of Nebs and Scrolls being duped.
Well, my I/L Archmage is doing nicely. Just have to get her 15 more levels to get the Crit Ring.
She was absolutely destroying Nett's Pyramid for 85-94. Able to hold two rows on her own without any Link Skills or Evolving Rings. (Things I gave her after hitting 100, she needs them for Evolving World.) Only level 30 Empress' Blessing and gear I picked up.
Feeling somewhat burned out from all the grinding on my Hero (143-167) and her (1-115) though. I might just do two Evolving World runs a day with the daily 2x EXP buff to get her through the remaining levels, then just get the 20 daily RED coins and attendance events until Zero.
My range shot up to 100k thanks to Elemental Amp showing up in our ranges now. :3 I'm having a bit of a hard time getting used to all my new skills though, especially since I haven't played Maple in a couple months.
I started a new F/P for that Crit Ring and F/Ps are way easier to train in 2nd job. Granted, people really exaggerated how bad 2nd job was for F/Ps but I do wish F/Ps were like this from the very beginning.
