It's more of a swing, if my sources say correctly.

Like, you basically start dumped into your normal elo in your first game, unless you're duoing with someone that has an elo much higher or lower than yours.

The first match, if won or lost, will either add or subtact an absurd amount of ranked MMR to you. The second match will also do the same, but as not as much as the first match. And so on and so first until you're pretty much winning and then losing one, and that's basically your rank.

Played 2 matches of 3v3 with my elementary school friend and a few games of normals after that.

Made it to silver IV at last. IF it wasnt for this stupid Xin Chao that said like it was so normal "well time to go, bye" at minute 5 and this stupid shaco that was always farming away and made it late to the teamfights just to die, I would have won 7 out of 10 and made it higher I guess.

Is there a way to change the gang you belong to? Never in my life i've played talon

and correct me if I'm wrong but in 2 weeks i will have to go through the 10 matches again to decide my rank right?

Very nice division name, congrats! Sitting at 80LP Silver II, gain 23 lose 15 or so per match. Fighting to make Gold before the end of the season!

Play to learn then. You'd be amazed what you can notice and fix about your play when you're focusing entirely on getting better vice worrying about ranking up.
