I was able to craft the Helmet on my Moonlord, but had to transfer all the rest over to my other character to finish those, so 30g. An additional 30g to put them back in. An additional 5g to put the gloves back in (Took them out with ANOTHER character to use HIS leftover essences to craft it as it was the last piece). Not much honestly. Would be worse before this system since I would have had to waste Stamps to unbind then mail them over, whereas now I can transfer them without needing Stamps, and there is no penalty whatsoever except the 5g cost per item. You could now actually ''share'' equipment if you wanted if you had 2 characters that used the same gear because of this new system since they don't waste binding amounts.

I didn't store very many Sparks, but one thing to note is that the cost of storage is per STACK of an item, not per item in a stack. 99potions for example would cost 5g, so I was able to put in about a dozen sparks for the cost of only 5g, whereas again, before this system I would have had to unbind them first, then mail them.

Edit: I didn't include the cost for the crafts themselves, but that ran only about another 40~50g or so. I was able to easily make that money back that same day through some farming. I also don't ''save'' any sparks. You can choose to save a spark which costs a LOT, or you can just apply the new spark which is free.

Green dragon nest is coming really soon. My body is ready.

Rant: I just got my SDN HC pants yesterday. Top + bot + glove in only about 6 runs which is extremely lucky.

I've never even been on a hardcore run. It seems like everybody already has a ''team'' they go with and don't really accept ''outsiders''.

._. I'm just starting out in the game, so that's a lot of gold for me haha o.o'
But I guess it's better than the mailing system since there's no daily limit (aside from space). I might just keep mailing my stuff to and fro until I make enough gold to sustain myself and transferring.
And if you save the spark, can't you reset the ability you would get? So, if you were about to spark say... Phys. Attack 5.76% onto a Greatsword, but wanted Magic Attack 5.76%, wouldn't you "save" it and then re-apply?
Sorry for the nooby questions ;-; I'm still... well, nooby.

Where'd you get this information? The only DN resource I know of is the Wiki, and that's not very up-to-date... I use the armory for Set effects and builds, but I've never come across a website that has KDN info (or, like the equivalent of Orange Mushroom for DN). Do you suggest any sites?
Again, sorry for nooby question orz

Nexon's facebook page put up a teaser. The shadow figures of the adventurers are wearing green dragon armor.

  7. Default Re: Dragon Nest Social Thread

Yeah, if mailing is an option and you don't mind using the mail for transfers then do that instead, but for anything that would have to be unbound first the storage is the best option so you can avoid that.

Saving a spark is for the people who don't have many sparks to begin with, or don't want to gamble as much.

Example: You get a spark of Physical/AGI. You tell yourself ''Okay, that's pretty good, but I want to see if I can get something better'', however you only have one spark left so it's a big risk and you might end up with something worse like INT/STR (Just random BS examples). What you do is use the spark and see what you're about to get and if it's to your liking you apply it, but if it isn't then you save your CURRENT spark and try again whenever you want.

Unless you ALREADY have a spark you want to hold onto then you can just apply new sparks no problem till you get what you want. ''Saving'' costs money, but applying doesn't.

Omg, facepalming epicly right now. I thought it was like potential in Maple, where it's one spark and that's it. Didn't know you could use more than one on a piece of armor ._.
    Thanks for the help dude!

So glad to be back on this forum again after password retrieval wasn't working for a good while.

Shared storage is pretty amazing. I managed to grab all the sparks across all of my alts, and now I still have a stockpile of like 30 epic onyx sparks even after resparking my main characters' armor with xx/vit/HP.

NX storage is quite nice too. Now you can use it to stockpile all of your alts' tradeable stamps and jellies (the non-'Dreamy' variants). For the untradeable jellies though, you can simply transfer your gear through shared storage to the character that has the jellies. This is what I plan to do once GDN gear is out.

It does seem like Nexon killed drop rates for Master and below difficulty dungeons. While it appears that the gold selling sites are hurting like hell from this (gold prices literally doubled, if the blue birds and total lack of bots in town are anything to go by), it also seems like it's going to be really hard for new players to get into the game now since onyx lustre barely drops and normal/magic rank gear no longer drops at all. Although the effects on new players could be counteracted by making enhance-able versions of normal/magic rank gear purchaseable from shops for cheap.

Yes, standard dungeon droprates were majorly crapped on after last patch. I'm not sure if they've commented on it yet, and the maintenance announcement didn't mention it unless I'm mistaken.

It would be pretty surprising if this is to combat against the gold farmers, but if it's working I can't really complain. End-game doesn't appear to be affected by the changes, so at least there's no worrying there.

I personally think the jump event might have made this worse, since there are people running around with no idea what they're doing, got carried through normal SDN (or just killed it before everyone died 3 times) and want to HC. Also, the fact that most people only get 1 attempt per week (or will eventually only get 1 attempt per week if they fail a few times) means that if a run goes well, people are going to want to run with the same people weekly to clear consistently.

    Welcome back!

  12. Default Re: Dragon Nest Social Thread

@HC run discussion: That's the exact reason why people want a squad that has competent players. People who get carried through SDN just ruin the HC run for other people. At least this will be better when SDN can be completed twice a week so people can get 2 HC passes every week.

If you want to join a squad, either

    A. Try nexon forums
    B. Join random normal runs and recruit people there that you see are competent
    C. Create one with your friends

If you are a needed class e.g. Paladin, Priest, Ele, Adept/GM/SS, mercenary, it'll be a lot easier to find a group especially if you're a paladin/priest and know what you're doing.

Okay, whichever dev decided that it was a good idea to give the golem in Titan Nest Hell mode a map-wide instant kill attack (or at least have it inflict enough damage that it can one-shot a Saint with 180k HP and 50% phys defense) AND have him use it 3 times in a row needs to get shot.

Sure you can dodge it by jumping, but...
1 - If there's a lag spike, you're dead, because you probably won't even see him do the jump animation on your screen, or you're registered as being hit even though you're in mid-air
2 - If you get caught in the warden's lasers, you can't jump. The only way to interrupt warden laser is to shoot them with the cannons. If you're on cannons when he jumps, you're dead.
3 - The jump animation is so fast that you're screwed if you're locked in a casting animation (like, say, a Saint trying to put down a freaking Healing Relic)
4 - If he decides to jump into you, I'm fairly sure it's impossible to avoid getting hit anyway

    >:(

  14. Default Re: Dragon Nest Social Thread

I was warned about that attack by my party members the first time I went in. I was the only one who didn't die during it.

Maybe it should hit more around 30~40k per jump though. This way you can still live if you mess up, but if you continue to not get with the program then you probably die. It's somewhat like Archbishop's 3-slam attack where you pretty much have to be on the ball to avoid it, assuming you're not using Block/Parry Stance. If you get hit even once it is VERY difficult to avoid the next hit because of the stagger. It can be done but it's such a small window.

It's hell mode, it's supposed to be deadly. But honestly it's not that bad if your internet isn't bad. The jumps are pretty evenly spaced out as well.

As a saint, block should stop it too.

    Ahahaha, ready for GDN.

    Saint stats

Kinda regret enhancing the wand to +11, even though it increased my magic attack by 1.3k over my old wand. RNG screwage is strong these days - the wand failed going from +9 to +10 about 10 times in a row, for 650g per attempt. It failed a further 5 times for 750g per attempt going to +11. This is on equipment that have a flat 1/3rd chance to successfully enhance all the way to +12. And now I'm totally broke from enhancing a weapon that has no suffix and no market value since it's absolutely untradeable.

What I mean to say is that enhancing SDN L-grade weapons isn't worth it when GDN is around the corner, unless you're a Saint since your magic attack needs to be as high as possible for your heals. Even then, it still might not be worth it. A +10 unique GDN weapon will outclass a +12 SDN L-grade. Armor is no comparison, GDN unique has like twice the base defense as SDN L-grade.

I was wondering this: If you enhance an item and then decide to put a suffix on it, do the enhancements disappear?

On-Topic: Trucking through level 30-32... So far, it's been kind of tough o.o; But I heard that at level 32 leveling gets much easier so there's that to look forward to! \o/ And of course Halfmoon Slash!
Not sure if I should get the Cerberus Sword or the Ancient from Honest Ed's Shop...

Just stick with green/blues and spam master mode (at least hard). Get to 50 before worrying about your gear. Just get enough to live meaning +6 green/blues.
