I'm getting much better at top lane, surprisingly. I dunno if it's the fact that I actually know how to use Cho now (He was one of the first champs I used, never went back to him until now) or something else, but I find myself on the right end of decision making as a top laner nowadays. I just need to work on my last hitting. My friend who's 1200s does 100 at 10 minutes consistently, while I'm still at around 60 or 70.

I still don't like bot lane.

Lost a few Dominion games to a variety of Darius. I honestly wish they'd find a less anti-fun ult for him. Then I was reminded how much I like draft mode Dominion even though the queues are like... five years.

Blind pick 5v5 game last night had me on sona vs another sona (with the brown hair skin)

Her: Another sona player because of the PAX skin. Such amateurs
Me: -says nothing-

We dominate them hard like 37:11 or something. During the last few minutes of it

Me: Guess I'm not an amateur. Btw you should try to build GP10s before 20 minutes

She didn't build her first GP10 until about 18 minutes. She also never got to her 2nd item and she bought maybe 1~2 wards on every back. She also got a cloth armor + merc treads before trying to get heart of gold. Game lasted almost 40 minutes

Her: There's a difference between being a good support. Getting carried is easy.
Me: What?
Her: You also don't have to be so rude. My comment at the beginning was a joke but I guess you took it too seriously. Rude *****
Me: All I was trying to do was give you some advice
Her: Here's a pro support tip, don't take your ADC's CS

-I have 13 CS. She has 16-

Me: You have more than me.
Her: Don't lecture me on how to be a good support. You got carried. I just had a bad game. Not everyone is perfect like you. *leaves chat room*

Seems even being helpful gets rage. There's almost no reason to have GP10s that late. Her excuse was she didn't get any gold from assists so she couldn't buy anything. I tracked her wards, about 2 pink wards and maybe 10-15 green ones. Unless she warded her own jungle heavily during laning phase, she just didn't buy wards. We were the ones getting counter jungled to hell so I doubt that's the case. Afterwards I check her previous games. Her only other sona game on record has

- Doran's ring
- Kage pick
- Sorc shoes
- Mana manipulator
- AP rune page

At the end of the game I had over double her gold, around 11.7k vs 5.2k. For the record, I main support + I am buying PAX sona + I am no amateur when it comes to them. Even though I didn't respond until the last few minutes, apparently I'm the one being rude and started the fight in the first place.

I can do it with sona if our bot lane doesn't get counterpicked or the jungler doesn't camp bot. Poke + ult + some other parts of her kit are really nice.

See, I have a big beef with people who pull this kind of bullpomegranate. It's like trying to cover up for something you said that was wrong. It's similar to what Doc Scratch said: it's only a joke if you reveal the ruse shortly afterwards. Otherwise, the damage is done and it is burned into the memories of the recipients. These guys are only trying to compensate for their insecurities, and what they do is negatively impact others, no matter how they execute their "joke" outside of "just kidding!" a few seconds after the joke.

I don't quite know how much of it is off-stream or whatnot, but, as an attendee at PAX Prime and thus the LoL NA Regionals, this is what I've been seeing:

-- Multiple screens. Some are for the minimap itself, some are for the player reactions, and some are for the "FIRST BLOOD" and victory/defeat signs.
-- Full resolution, full FPS goodness. Damn son.
-- Cosplay show every day of PAX. My bro decided to go as Talon this year, even though he's never played him or heard any of his quotes. Notable mentions include Sejuani (including Bristles), Orianna, and Wukong. Some people had to cosplay without weapons because airport security was being a douche.
-- When they're not shoutcasting a game, they're reading stuff on a screen behind the camera. Actually, when they're shoutcasting a game they're probably reading stuff on a different screen in front of them (I couldn't see) when stuff like replays ambush them, DDR style.
-- There's a merchandise store! Includes T-shirts, Rammus figurines, Tibbers/"Barron" pillows, Teemo hats, and so on. Being the cheapass I was though, I just waited for them to throw swag at us. Managed to score a Teemo hat and a T-shirt that says Top, Middle, Bottom & Jungle.
-- CLG Chauster threw his swag at his GF in the crowd >_> LOL
-- Sometimes when throwing swag, they bust out the Kog'Maw T-shirt cannons. One of the T-shirts got stuck up in the rafters after he hit a bouncing beach ball in the crowd.
-- Additional swag included lanyards, buttons, and foam oranges that have GP and the LoL logo on them. They have a ridiculous number of oranges.
-- There's a blind pick Murder Bridge area with its own queue line. Everything is unlocked on those accounts, including dodge seals and some strange runes from a sponsor I guess. They're standard T3s. Each computer was refurbished with kickass headsets and Gunnars (I didn't try the latter), and they had gaming keyboard and mice. While we were given time to set up runepages and masteries, we hardly got time to reconfigure our keybinds and shyts, which inevitably varied from match to match. Matchmaking was based on your place in line and how big your group of possies were. For some reason in my only match to date, they had a Darius. We wiped the floor with them, with me grabbing FB and MVP as Team Spirit Anivia. WREQ'd.
-- Volibar and Classick staged a Q&A session between the two games on Saturday. Heimerdinger and some non-meta champion were being looked at, but there were no timeframes of any sort. The rest of the questions were just general stuff that you probably wouldn't already know/guess by looking at other news outlets.

On a side note, CLG vs. Dignitas game 2 was the longest match of around 76-77 minutes or so. -_-;

I forgot exactly which game it was, i think it was clg vs legion game 2, but it was the one that had a base race and they failed and the other team got the nexus. That one was probably more exciting [the 76 minute game was really good too though]. Only way CLG could have won that 76 minute game is if dignitas made a mistake and gave up a free kill but dignitas was really patient and continuously poked. Really smart play by both teams.

Jebus christ, the swag was actually high value today. This included a free computer, keyboards, mice, and gamer gear.

I didn't end up attending the 20 questions panel from yesterday. I heard that the stuff they answered was the usual and not worth mentioning if you constantly follow the news. More Q&A from Volibar and Morello just before the third place match, where basically the only new thing worth mentioning is that Morello is 1260 elo, not 1200. Owait that was to burn the dude accusing of Morello of being a 1200 xD

Curse responded in game 2 by selecting champs with globals (Shen, Karthus), but they simply got counter-picked, with Lulu stopping Shyvana, and by the time Curse picked Karthus, CLG already had saves and mitigations on nearly everyone.

The finals match was not a surprise. I could swear Scarra was on tilt though. Whole place had people fitting in nearly every space possible, except the "ARAM" area.


EDIT: I just inventoried my swag. 4 Arcade Sona codes and 3 Riot Graves codes. Since I'll be using one of each, that leaves 3/2 codes respectively left. My brother managed to get 5 of each, though I'm not sure what he plans on doing with them.

I was commenting on the "base race" one was just as exciting/more exciting than the 76 minute game. I think it was CLG vs Legion game #2 for the "base race" one
