Ignore Def % Limit?

Are you that lazy to get proof?

yes im that lazy it took me 3hour

and i dont want to do another 3hour to get that same information again just for one bug

that doesnt seem to be a big deal with other ppl

i would love to show my prove since ppl are as lazy as me to even test on their own char i will be as lazy too

even if i get my prove having one prove isnt enough it would req like 5ppl to be offical bug

More people would be inclined to prove it too if you presented proof to support your premise. Scientists don't come up with a hypothesis and say "pineapple IT SOMEONE ELSE PROVE IT", they try to prove it themselves and publish their findings which incentivizes others into attempting to prove or disprove the original published article.

Here's my range and all my sources of Ignore Def:



It adds up to 98%: 40% from Combat Mastery (passive, not skill-dependent), 10% Ambition, 30% Leafre Set, 18% Nebulite.

I am not using any character cards that give damage, as those are known to display misleadingly in damage range.

I went to Azwan Hell Mode and used normal attack on the monsters, without any buffs. Normal attack should hit exactly the displayed damage range (excepting character card buffs).
Assuming the mobs there have 70% PDRate, my actual damage done should be:
If Ambition does work and I truly have 98% ignore def: 39178.9 ~ 55969
If Ambition doesn't work and I only have 88% ignore def: 36397 ~ 51995.6

From this it follows that if I score even one hit above 52k, Ambition does work.
And if I score even one hit below 39k, something does not work (not necessarily Ambition, could be Nebulite, or something else - but it needs looking further into).

Math (Never sure if I do Ignore DEF calculations right, so someone check me, please)
4574 * 1.4 = 6404 (6403.6)
6099 * 1.4 = 8539 (8538.6)
Min Damage with 20% DEF Ignore (Going below this proves 20% DEF Ignore DOES NOT work)
6404 * (1 - .7 * (1 - .2)) = 6404 * (1 - .7 * (.8)) = 6404 * (1 - .56) = 6404 * .44 = 2818 (2817.76)
Max Damage without 20% DEF Ignore (Going above this proves 20% DEF Ignore DOES work)
8539 * (1 - .7) = 8539 * .3 = 2562 (2561.7)

Observed Damage

Observed 2114 Damage hit, which is less than 2818, the inherent Ignore DEF in the skill doesn't appear to work.

There, like 10 minutes of work. I would love to see what you achieved in 3 hours.

ok there the proof i got ...... i have 65% weapon ignore + 15% nebulite + 15% code using mu lung set +10% ambition + 0 % skill it doesnt matter cuz we already know my skill ignore doenst work

im using Finsing blow with 180% dmg with 30% ignore since ignore isnt working let say it 0%

that is a total of 105% and that shoudl be able to ignore everything

30356-40475 is my range

if i got 100% ignore then my dmg shouldnt decrease at all

Battlemastery is already added to and show the range

30356 is my min dmg x 180% from my skill finishing blow= 54,640 (54,640.8)

if i hit anything below than 54k dmg it mean my ambition is not working and i dont have 100% ignore with even 105% ignore i did the math i only have 95% if my ambition isnt working

and here the ss that i hit under 54.6k

and this prove my skill ignore and my ambition ignore isnt working at all.... but when i change my codex to leafre set (30%) i never hit under 54.6k and that is a total of 120% ignore i got at that time

Try using regular attacks instead of Finishing Blow and see if you get the same results. Also try getting someone else to corroborate your damages, because we know sometimes displayed damage is not actual damage (e.g. 999,999 mage glitch). I think this second part should apply to both @SaptaZapta; and @Question;, at their convenience of course. This is interesting. I might mess around on my Shadower later tonight if I have a block of time to spare.

Unfortunately I can't use my bishop to test this theory because Arcane Aim changes his damage all the time. He also only has level 18 Ambition. If anyone has a mage with high Ambition and no Arcane Aim (or knows how to account for it), I'd be happy to see their results.

49) Character Card bugs:
- My S Rank Cannon Master card doesn't work. Whenever I die I lose 9% Exp, when I should be losing 5%.
- When in Party play areas (LHC, SDH), and in mostly in party quests to, my S rank Evan card heals my MP even when I didn't even touch the monster.

Do you know that Ambition also has effect that reduce exp by 5% when you died at max level -what level is ur ambition on ur CS?
if it has any ambition maybe we can test the exp dead rate loss on ambition too to see if that work or not

finishing blow is a spam i think cuz it like chain lightning attack or like evan illusion so i think it is a spam

alll the mob in hell mode azwan is 70% pdr everything even tower and altar and super mob

it the best way to test your dmg ... testing on low pdr % is harder and take much longer to find the answer

Blow is Quad Blow et al.

Never mind, it is indeed just the 4th job blow skill. Hits six times, so it was called Finishing instead of Hextuple.

what about the min dmg?

maybe ambition is only half work? like it only 5% not 10% who knew?

so Far we prove that battlemage blow ignore def on 3 and 4th job is broken
we also prove that it seem to be mage ambition is also broken but there could be more
