I never had a Paladin.
But I do have a F/P mage. I could tell you that the reason we use Elquines that after maxing Fire Demon, we have supposedly mastered the strongest type of Fire. We go to Alcaster asking for any more advanced magic beyond Fire Demon, and he replies saying that since we mastered the strongest type of Fire, the only way to continue our studies in magic is to study a new element. Then we ask about Ice and he tells us that it's impossible for a F/P mage to wield the Ice element, because it's a conflicting element. However, F/P mages do have the option of calling on a summon that is Ice element, because summons aren't attached to the F/P mage itself.
That's why we get Elquines instead of I/L skills.
I find it ironic how Evan don't get two dragons, one for FP and one for IL.

I'm need to spoiler this....
Spoiler
Anyone on my buddylist in Khaini who has logged on in the last hour can confirm my euphoric joy in the newly-upgraded Evan class...I kinda had CAPS on the whole time ;).
Srs: Wow...just wow. First off, passive Mage crits? Looking ridiculously sexy. 73k Flame Wheel crits with no Fire Wand, SE, or other crazy buffs? ON SKELES? AT 151? That's amazing. Oh, and horizontal range? Jesus. Christ. And of course I don't have to mention how wonderful the new Booster is, but it was enough to make me go from hating Flame Wheel with a passion to, along with the other aforementioned updates, to going GAGA over it.
But why play a class just to train? We all want to be useful in other places of the game too, LIKE BOSSES, right? That's why myself, Goals, and other ArchMages enjoy playing our classes - seeing just how strong an ArchMage can get to prove Magician single target DPS is worthwhile.
Instead of another spoiler like the one above, I'll just get to the point and say: I (obviously) paused the video at every use of Illusion to total the damage dealt per hit. Highest amount with one crit (the one at the very end with a 31,254 crit) was 84,954 damage.
Again - HOLY. CRAP. Let's just understand how amazing that is. I can hit 50ks with Paralyze on Skeles if I have a Poison Wand and Echo. Goals, the strongest Magician in GMS, can hit 4xks with Chain Lightning on elementally neutral monsters, in the mid 17x levels.
This KMST player hit a combined near 85k hit at 151 without Echo, SE, and most likely crazy amounts of magic and MW.
That's utterly amazing. And the best part? We haven't seen Blaze yet. New-and-improved Blaze + SE + Fire Wand may just be hitting 1xx crits on Skeles in GMS, and even crazier 15x crits at Pianus and other Fire-weak bosses.
tl;dr: Evan's kick ass, render all ArchMages obsolete, and perfect the issues the Magician classes had in the past. To all who love the concept of magic: !
Requesting definition/examples for "immaterial" monsters.
Like.. it's there, but not there.. and not a ghostly creature at the same time.. perhaps a Bot catcher? lulz
@ Dual: I'm not sure how Evan's stun works but most other Stun types are interruptible by.. oh wait, I think it's physical attacks, not sure about magic attacks. Still, freeze is way sexier. :3
Another note, the Rush skill seems to give that guy quite a hard time, is it just that his character control sucks or there really is some limitation to rushing a monster? Afaik, Rush, Dragon Breath and possibly Ninja-whateverz work at any moment.

Immaterial types are usually summoned mobs or mobs that are given life somehow but are not inherently dead - Block Golems, Frankenroid, Bloctopus...
Pardon, but I've forgotten something. What's the item called that can extend a time limited item?
I can't find the name here. Sorry for being unhelpful.
Oh.. So Drks can do extra dmg on Kuzco, Puco and whatnot? :3

Thanks for the hourglass thing. KMST added a "notExtend" property.

Holy crap. Evan with SE. Note that the Bowmaster is filming.
I SAW 150k CRIT WITH FLAME WHEEL. Again, that's WITHOUT an E-Wand!
This guy's pulling off consistent 110k+ mob damage crits... And at 1:24, you see one hit from Illusion do about 44k. All the other non-crit hits are 20k.
EDIT: Better Illusion example: Pause at 1:12. Two 43k crits.
