New participants will not be accepted as of 2013-02-16 00:00:01
Anyone who has participated prior to that will have until March 31st, when the tokens expire, to complete the quiz and receive their token.
Why is it only the GMS Region?
Because this is a GMS sponsored event with a reward that can only be claimed in GMS.
Since this is also a Southperry specific event long time Southperry members get an exemption from this rule as a compromise.
Why is it limited once per household?
Nexon's requirement of 1 award per person could not be enforced without limiting it once per household or requiring you to provide account information and wait for each individual token to be created and tied to your account.
In the interest of security and confidentiality we chose the more restrictive option rather than the more invasive one.
My brother/sister/husband/roommate/best friend answered questions at my house, can I no longer participate?
Whoever answers questions first from a given location is the only one who can continue to play once multiple people have tried answering from the same location.
Even if you participate the first four days from your house then do day five at a friend's who's already played you'll become ineligible and lose all prior credit.
You won't be able to create a new account and start over from home because someone has already answered questions from your home (your banned account).
Is selling my code punishable?
Southperry has no control over what you do with your code once you've received it. The limit of 1 per household restricts resell as far as we're capable of, without having required you to account-lock the token or receive it in-game.
As with most external transactions Nexon most likely does not approve of sale or transfer of the codes but we can't speak for them regarding whether or not they'll take the time or effort to track down and punish abusers, or whether they could even identify a legitimately earned code versus a sold code.
Why does it require an email address?
In designing the event we had to choose between making it Southperry members only, or public.
We very explicitly do not want people registering for the event only, that's a waste of accounts and lose-lose.
Making it public meant more people could share in the fun and spread the word, particularly those who lurked Southperry but have never registered.
The email address gives a way to transmit the token after the quiz results have been validated and eligibility confirmed, without just printing it on screen and hoping you record it long enough to use it. It also provides a way to verify who you are in the event something goes wrong and you need to email for assistance, since only an email from the account participating would be able to discuss their particular issues.
My score changed?
As we find questions that are too confusing or ambiguous, or for which the answers changed between versions, we correct the available answers or remove the questions. In ether case this means your score may improve suddenly as a previously wrong question is now counted right.
I never got my token!
Once an unregistered participant has been issued a token they can return to the event page to recover their token. This only works for unregistered participants, if you registered during or after participating you will have to log out. Tokens will only be shown if your current location provably matches a location from which you've answered from previously to prevent unauthorized token theft by people who can guess your email address.
My token didn't work!
Make sure you have an open space in your setup tab. Check your setup tab for the presence of the new chair. Log off and log back in again. Try again.
If you still are having difficulty claiming the award please open a ticket with the Nexon helpdesk. You can not be issued a replacement token by Southperry.
