You know, this scares me.
Up until now I've assumed that this hacking method or leaked database are only in the hands of one goldselling site, and they are taking what NX, meso, and tradeables they can off accounts, but not doing any of the more spiteful things account hackers have been known to do (dropping untradeables, blowing up locked equips back when that was possible, etc).
You having this done to you suggests either that they're getting meaner for some reason, or that the method is now in other hands as well.
Another thing they might do to people they are annoyed at is use one of their characters for an ad-spamming mule, which of course runs the risk of getting the account banned as well as hacked.
I surmise this because of the large number of people banned for advertising who claim they did no such thing, plus the smega-spammers I've seen that have decent names, not fd34v2a4t or whatever.

My char didn't have a lot of free space in the equip inventory so they dropped a lot of my un tradeables to make room. The thing is, they wore one of my random medals just so the could drop my Time Traveler medal. Yes, they like to f'uck with us and they enjoy it.
I had no locked items...
Herp a Derp addidy ERP~! my mules number name# 30-45 were hacked today, they all had entirely different passwords, pic codes and they're cleaned out, only thing left was a nailed down lucky guy medal and by nailed imean item locked, married and guild leader.
this is getting ridiculous, I invest roughly what 6 years into merchanting and this is what I get!
and sadly the only thing I see logical to do now is to item lock all my mules but that's going to cost roughly 900$.
and you can't lock certain things.
so should I just sell whatever I don't need for cash? I don't know wth to do.
I've literaly fallen into a trap, I can't do anything to secure my accounts but I want to play the game I enjoy it in many ways.
I used to change my password every 2 days. Now I do it whenever I feel like it. My password is 60 characters and my email attached to it is 128 with text needing verification.
Well, since Eos got hacked...
I've been changing my password weekly. One my other account it's been 4 months or so since I changed the pass, both accounts are usually logged in at the same time from the same location, account information for both stored on my computer, etc.
Eos getting hacked=Jerry locking everything aha
