The way people are talking about Nisemonogatari makes me wanna watch it. It's made by Studio SHAFT right? if it's anything like Maria Holic or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei then i know it'll be hilarious.

I'll probably get around to marathoning Bakemonogatari when i've gotten this college work finished, it's been on the backburner of shows to watch for a while now.

I completely enjoyed Bakemonogatari, but I can totally understand a lukewarm reaction. At the end of the day, it's a lot of dialogue and not too much else. I think what sets it apart is that it's a lot of incredibly well-executed dialogue wrapped in a rather unique and very sharp animation package. And glorious fanservice. Usually I don't think fanservice as blatant as what the Monogatari shows pack adds anything, but they somehow get away with it and thrive on it.

Speculation + Preview

I think one of those kids has to be the dead person. It makes no sense for some random classmate that hasn't been introduced to be the person. The one with the glasses that's covered in blood from the preview seems to be the most likely choice or the head of countermeasures girl. Otherwise it might be no one. If it's one of them, it also explains how that boy still died even though they were out of town i.e. Death follows whoever is near the dead person, not just being in yomiyama.

4 episodes to go, most likely going to deal with finding the thing at the school and then completing the ritual at the shrine during the august field trip.

So it seems dying in the other world erases that persons memories of the thing or person they loved the most, with Koha and Kagari both completely forgetting about the people they love, though strangely, they both seem a lot happier. This really couldn't have come at a worse time for Yomi. She really has a problem, she seems to have an obsessive compulsion to have people 'Need' her, seeing her flip in this episode was really horrible, and the only way she can be saved now is by being killed and forgetting about Mato, how depressing

Saya basically plays on the characters fears and insecurities either because she's a massive sadist or she knows about the other world (which would make sense actually, since she is older than the other characters.

How the hell do you figure this stuff out? I just spent 20 minutes reading the episode synopsis for each episode because at some point I confused Dead Master and Black Gold Saw (whose names I only know because I read them). And I never saw your theory anywhere else, but it makes sense. Wish I wasn't so slow at this stuff sometimes.

Mirai Nikki episode 20: 1st and 2nd hardly appeared in this episode, but when they did, hoo boy. Something about Yuno in that black dress with that machine gun and sword just... wow.

Ano Natsu de Matteru episode 8: Oh god. That action scene was actually really well animated. and just how old IS Lemon anyway? "Still in highschool i see" - "Fu fu, yes, i'm an eternal 17-year old". Somehow her having an accomplice, even just for this episode makes her seems less omnipotent.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san They're still making these? Is it finally a full 22 minute show, or is it still 1 minute shorts? Because it's terrible but I just love Asumi Kana's voice to death.

What's the proper order to watch fate/night anime so I'll be caught up before the new season. I know one just happened last year but iirc there was one before that as well. I started the VN but never got around to finishing it so I figured I'd just watch the anime.

Frankly, Fate Stay Night was awful in an "Oh god, I remember all these cliches and tropes from the early-mid 2000s and I really wish I didn't" way. And it has the most pathetic and irritating male lead.

Fate Zero is pretty sweet, although heavy on dialogue and exposition. There's really no order. You could watch either one first or not watch one at all.

Sakamachi no Apollon - Not the most riveting synopsis, but I think I have to watch it. Noitamina, Watanabe, Yoko Kanno, and jazz. No choice. It must be watched.

At first when they were passing the garbage truck on the highway, i thought it was gonna spin out and take out one of the cars.

Then when I saw that ball go up and the guy went "don't worry i'll go get it" i instantly went "he dead"

Another episode 8: Gotta admit, when i started watching it and saw that guy was coming, who isn't in the OP or ED and therefore not a main character, i just knew he was gonna die. He might as well have been wearing a red shirt.

It's most probably the desk. Mei explained in an earlier episode that she doesn't know why that desk is there, she believed it was just there to complete the counter-measure charm. Perhaps the desk is the way to determine who is the dead person.

I think that right now it's possible that the "Curse" is sentient. It didn't do anything the whole day, until they started talking about how to fight it, it then suddenly murders someone.

Interestingly, the only 2 survivors (that we've seen) of the incident 15 years ago both have memory blanks and fits of amnesia, and possibly something even more serious (judging by the actions of Reiko in earlier episodes). Perhaps ending the incident early causes it's own problems.

All the deaths so far (at least student/teacher) have happened near the main character (forgot his name, i think it's keichi) and the heart attack death happened right after the guy was going to talk about the rules (and therefore break them)

As for the amnesia thing, I think whatever prevented the calamity definitely caused them to have amnesia. Some other-worldly source. Maybe telling other people what happened would get them killed so it's a safety measure. I can definitely see the anime adding some huge plot twist at the end of the series though that would create a "mind = blow" situation
