Oh boy, I'm just going to reply with a macro image too! I'm so cool like that.
Would you stop being so god damn cryptic.
I've not played a Buccaneer or a Shadower or a Night Lord so I honestly can't say anything about it besides "save your complaints for when the live patch comes around."
The farthest I've gone is about discussing the choice of graphics.
Oh dear... what have they done! :(
Buccaneers:
1. At this point energy charge should just be an active buff which, gives the intended effect and allows you to cast certain attacks. The whole concept is dead now since it charges in 2 hits & they keep removing our energy abilities (RIP Drain =( ).
2. I also do not understand the redundancies w/ the buccaneers abilities... 2x 4th job mobbing abilities? 2x rushes (maybe i need clarification on this but don't they do the same thing?)
3. Does the new barrage retain the auto knock back? If not, wow, we were stripped of everything!
Corsairs:
I say speed up facilitate and add in more octopus-esque abilities! I would be content with that!

Well if it was an active buff then it would be dispellable and that's a No No. But yeah the concept of it is gone. but the Super fast charging could be a glitch. But the charging will differntily be faster for both mobs and bosses now. There needs to be a skill that counts for every buff and is like:30% to retain buffs after being dispelled. and maybe choose a specif buff that would have a 50% chance to retain... but anyway yeah i was knocked about the 2 4th job mobing skills that have similar damage and the exact same utility, well one can be fired in the air but you get the point.
And for the 2 rushes one can be used after the other for a super long rush.... but yeah its stupid. I think nexon wanted to keep the fact that buccs were the best at KBing monsters, which brings me to the 3rd point...
Pretty sure the new barrage, Fist of Flash or w/e, does not have the auto kb ability. The ONLY skills that have invincible frames now are the rushs. The comboing effect of buccs has been lost![]()
Okay, the last two pages totally threw me off, is the general consensus that this patch totally blows and everything should be reverted, or that people are okay with it and it just needs a LOT of ironing out to make things a little less random.
I personally think Nexon has the right idea, but is going about it totally wrong.
I'm really, really hoping this is just a rough draft, otherwise my Shad and Sair are going to be covered in a pomegranateton of dust next year...
Waaiiit, are my eyes cheating me?!
Do I see shade split on the Shadower's column?!!!
THEN WHY DID YOU GIVE IT TO NL'S </3
Uggh, give me either that or my BoT(buffed ofc) back!!
Shadower life without BoT... Not worth living :(
EDIT: Not only that but the first pic in the Shad column reminds me of Assaulter!!!
Why then would you give me that crappy-animation for that Rush that replaced my Assaulter?!
Why do you play with my feelings like this Nexon? I gave you my wallet what more you want :(
Well in GMS it goes like this
1) Buccaneers: Theres so much to say so ill just say this:SpoilerChange them back because you obvious cant actually make them play better other than increase %s
2) Corsairs: You took out the ship, some ok with this some not ok. But you kept Rapid fire you dumb pineapples >_>. Well ok fine I can live with it but your gonna have to make more Octo skills
3)Night Lords: Lol at Quad throw. You ACTUALLY made this. we were just trolling when we mentioned it.... but dam on well. The mob attacks seem alittle out of place and there is no need for pushing skills any more since you cant punch anymore. But why did you take away my alchemist and my healing skill T_T. But overall not too bad. (yay more damage)
4)Shadowers: I want BoT back. Why you take from me. And What the hell are assassination points. It needs a clear discription before i can go hating on it >.<. And lol at smoke screen. Maybe an animation change?
So pretty much Corsair, Night lords, and Shadowers need some iron out with cast times/delays, %s, and what not. With a few extra skills to enhance the game play that nexon was aiming for.
Now for buccs... Nexon just needs to change them back because they pineappleed them up bad. All they Should do is boost up some %s. Allow SI to break the speed cap to fastest (1). and IF Dragon strike hits 6 and charges 6 then Demo charges 5, barrage charges 4, and double upper charges 2. Oh and make the combo of Cork->upper->Barrage do more damage than Barrage->DS at all levels. So buff upper and corks damage. And leave cork chargeable. Hell you can make so uncharged does the same damage as charged, just make it chargeable.
And if your feeling adventurious you can make demo so that you are capable of exiting on the other side . OR your able to move after you come out of a demo. OR when you enter demo you tap the skill key rapidly (slow at first then faster or just all fast) to pull off more hits in a single demo. and it'll pull you out if you arent tapping fast enough or within rhythm.
Or all 3.
For myself, I find that I am currently on the fence about these changes. They really homogenized the pirate and thief classes with this new revamp. Tweaking skills of a class seems appropriate, however, their approach of a total redesign is quite controversial. Many players chose their class based on playstyle, and have invested a significant amount of time into their characters because of it; to unexpectedly take away a major factor such as that, is just plain unfair.
To answer your question, I believe a few of the classes need to be reverted (I'm looking at you Bucc), or at least changed so they are not just a copy of another class (shadowers).

changing arguments here, has anyone used smokescreen on "low skill resolution"? may anyone do it and take a SS please?
if the thing's a massive clusterpineapple you can't see through in the best quality, i am terrified to imagine it in bad quality. (would be hilarious to throw where people are training and watch them die for taking a surprise hit tho, lol.)
From the looks of it, they're different effect concepts for Step/Assaulter. And it looks like they went with the third option.
The fifth one would make a really spiffy Assaulter, imo. The current animation is only 5 frames long, and mad ugly, so you never know if they'll change it further, change it back, or something else entirely.
BoT doesn't really need a damage boost, it just needs to, y'know, EXIST in our skillpool.
I'm hoping this update sits in testing for a fair while and gets some considerable adjustments made; it'd be bad if it was pushed out practically as-is. I like a lot of the changes, but at the same time I'm hoping it gets revised a few times.
Mechanics have lasers
Cannon Shooters have lasers
Brawlers now have lasers
If they'd kept sairs' ship and given them a laser (also copypasted the brawler laser into thunder breakers), pirates would have a little more common ground.
We could have a power-rangers-style pirate laser lineup. Blowing up the bad guys since 2011.
...I just thought of something... now stay with me here because this is going to sound a little crazy, but maybe, just maybe, these current skills are fillers, or just a small part of an even bigger revamp, that will be expanded upon when Nexon implements the concept art as animations that work in-game, and figures out how to balance their stats!
In other words, the crucial skills they removed might very well be the ones that they're trying to buff further...
Actually, this would explain a hell of a lot...
Not really. HOWEVER.
I DO have a theory. Remember the legend's begginer skills? Well, what if everyone was getting one? That'd sort out a lot of things. Specially adressing all problems from a class without having to spend SP on a skill. Maybe buccs get a hp drain passive, or the likes...
And of course, that'd mean more LINK skills. That means that everyone and their mothers will want character slot expansions... So yeah, that's even a cash motivator I'm throwing in there.
