My main issue with Sairs before was the massive shift that occurred between 3rd and 4th Job.
Battleship vastly and immediately changed the playstyle of an Outlaw once they reached the final advancement, and was even incompatible with many of the skills that a player had previously acquired.
My solution to this problem would have been to move Battleship (or create a version of it) in an earlier advancement and build skills around it. They took the other route and just kicked it out the door.
Overall, I like this new Sair, but I don't like it as the Sair.
It's pretty much an entirely different class, and may have been better treated as such.
I think both of those ideas would've been interesting (them moving battleship to an earlier advancement to get the taste of what 4th job would be like, or separating it into it's own Octo-slinger class).
And yeah I agree, it was always weird to me how you jump from being what seemed to me like a quick and nimble gunslinger to a Battleship riding Corsair in the blink of an eye @.@
The rest of my post turned into a "wish the game worked different" thingy, so imma just close it off from my main point of "I liked those ideas you mentioned".
