How does it blow chunks?
I don't have the chart memorized, but I'm fairly certain it does about the same pure % as Finishing Blow at a faster speed.
It also has the advantage of ignoring 20% Def which no other BaM skill does.
EDIT:
Yeah, basically looking to see what changed your opinion here.
Echoing this.
I made my UA a F/P because they seemed to be the only ones to benefit long-term from the Cygnus Skill.
I had no idea just how boss they were becoming.
If you are gonna add a +infinity line for normal mages, please add a +buffs line for Evans too, we have so many damage buffs, active and passive both. ;_;
It just makes us look that much more pathetic if you don't, LOL
I've corrected it now. Without Teleport, The Finisher does improve DPS by about 100%/s. If Teleport is used though, since you can only Teleport after The Finisher, and not between each Finishing Blow, it reduces DPS except on 70% Defense monsters.
Convert 80 matk in %/s for me.
I updated Evans, because I realised I forgot to include Dragon Soul's -1 Weapon Speed, and I added Inherited Will. I reorganised the list to be in order of DPS vs 70% Defense, and added a summary list at the bottom for the strongest output of each class in that order.
I'd facepalm but I don't want hand prints on my glasses.
^ Stop posting.
Added F/P without Flame Gear for comparison. There's a slight over-calculation in the DPS for F/P since Meteo's damage over time duration is 20 seconds and cool-down is 30 seconds so there will be times where Mist Eruption won't be hitting that specific bonus. It'll likely be already hitting the damage cap though.
Flame Gear adds a ton of DPS since it only needs to be cast, optimally, every ~58 seconds, and does a lot of DoT as well as the buff to Mist Eruption.
It's actually possible to Teleport as you cast Finishing Blow and as you cast the following Finisher, but it's notably difficult.
700% more on a 70 PDR monster? That's a ridiculous difference!
If only Nexon could find a way to make the other UA skills nearly that useful.
Just one quick comment about our Meteor Shower: it's not maxed. This is probably obvious/I'm restating what you've known for 6 months, but it's something I didn't know till I logged on today and started allotting points. I have a Lv. 9 Meteor Shower at 200. Now that is after maxing MW to 30 and putting 5 points into Hero's Will, so if you drain those the max I could POSSIBLY see the skill at would be 15, but even then it's important to note that it's only doing that much when it comes to calculations like these.
AFAIK, Infinity, Amplification, (and while they're not mentioned, Elemental Weapons) do not affect DoT while elemental weaknesses do. I'm going to take a wild guess and say Storm Magic and Arcane Aim won't either, but I'll go and test it to make sure since assuming it is never a good idea.
Edit:
Spoiler
Is crit rate and cast speed accounted for in your calculations? They do make a big difference for I/Ls. DoT, I think, is also overrated because of how slow it hits (even if it hits max damage). I do love the concept of DoT though :).
Also, what staff speed are you using in your calculations? It makes a significant difference for BaMs. I knew they were very low in the damage ranges, but I didn't realize the difference would be this significant. Also, are you factoring criticals in as well as Battle Mastery?
