My account had its password and PIC changed, but someone's been trying to hack mine since Big Bang so I'm not entirely sure it's related to everyone else's hacking.

I'm not noticing any banter on basil. Though, that's probably because it's very early in the morning.
As Locked pointed out, there has been a big-ass thread on Basil for a while.
Otherwise, Basil is pretty bad at accepting claims of getting hacked.
They happen fairly often, and, considering the vastness of the community, it's hard to separate the trolls and those who lost their accounts to personally irresponsibility from those who have legitimately had their accounts inexplicably cracked open.
If you say you go on Basil and say you got hacked, generally, all you'll see is a lot of people saying "you probably downloaded something and got keylogged."
Seeing how people are having their accounts hacked with their PICs fully intact, I'd say 'no'.
I try hard not to believe such thread due to past experiences. But that just me.
I rather want to hear it through MS itself anyway.
Another reason why I don't like basil as credential information on hackers.I know I twisted your words a bit, but this is why I assume basil is trolling/scapegoating. And others reasons.
I don't know about other people but this is what i can say about my case:
-I got hacked days after 2 other guildies were (on aug 21), and at least one of them was hacked by the same person.
-Neither my MS or email (hotmail) info was changed.
-None of my sok/psokable items were taken, 70k nx used to buy arrows on MTS.
-Only my main char got hit (6 mules weren't touched, including one with shop open).
-I've never played facebook MS, or even have a FB account for that matter.
-The email for my SW account is a different one from my MS email.
-My info wasn't on the leaked list posted online (the person who hacked me was, tho).
-My computer was clean (scanned with 3 different programs).
Not the thread it's because I cannot tell who is being truthful. Im not asking nexon to acknowledge this(I dont indulge any of my hope in nexon). Actually, I don't really pay much attention to hacking problems. That's how its been since broa came out for me. I just refuse to believe hacks until I see it for my eyes. You know when there was remote hack around and everyone hid in secret spots? If you saw a guy in broa in the most populated spots doing their routine normally, it was Bomber123.
Most of what I said in this thread was from a person viewpoint and I really don't expect anyone to think the same way. =/

The hack was actually started at 4th August (or earlier) (4th August was the earliest report I can find online), it was first hitted dungeon fighter online.
And from 14th August onward, maplers starting to get hacked as well, and I am one of the victims that get hacked (I got hacked on the 17th August) and after that I keep checking on different forums and see if anyone got hacked the same way as I do.
The hacker took all my tradeable equips, mesos and NX. Mules are untouched, HTP is already karma'd (by me) but left on me.
My email is not hacked, it is not linked to anywhere, the email is sololy created for maple purpose. My Nexon account's password is separated from all my usual ones. The password and PIC is not changed, i.e. the hacker simply knows the login, password and PIC.
I am 100% sure that I didn't get keylogged, I know pretty well how my security of my gaming machine is. Also, all my other accounts are untouched, this also suggested me that I didn't get keylogged.
Instead of thinking those hacks are related to MTS or MSA, I am thinking of the login server downtime that happened at the beginning of August. I think Nexon's login server got attacked or the database is somehow leaked out after the login server maintenance (thinking of Edison Chan's photos case).
My last MTS transaction is ages ago (which is a buying transaction), and I didn't put anything for sale at MTS at all in my entire maple career. And the account isn't link to MSA at all.
The timing on login server downtime is pretty much match on the hack reported time, all hack reports are happened after the login server downtime. And also this (http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/News...ontentNo=00CpC) pretty much suggested me that Nexon knows the incident. What Nexon doing to the DFO players is exactly the same on the database leakage that happened to us two years ago. I.e. forcing the players to change password or otherwise the game is unplayable. But remember DFO's login server shares with our ones. (And no I don't play or don't have an account in DFO.)
Judging the way how we get hacked (only high leveled characters are looked into), I think the reason why only high level people are got hacked is because the hackers are not be bothered to look into the low level accounts instead of targeted attack. Which also suggested me that the hacker seems to have a long list to hack, so not be bothered to look into mules or low leveled characters.
I have a question does the nexon site show this for anyone else? Or I'm the only one?
If i'm the only one guess i'm next?
Google says if you see this it means:
The site uses SSL, but Google Chrome has detected either high-risk insecure content on the page or problems with the site’s certificate. Don’t enter sensitive information on this page. Invalid certificate or other serious https issues could indicate that someone is attempting to tamper with your connection to the site.
You were D/C'ed then hacked? Or do you mean a mushie shop?
There is also the possibility that the hacker can retrieve login from IGN at will, and does not need password or PIC because he bypasses those.
In response to the above:
Do most of those who were hacked log in through the site, or using gamelauncher?
This looks like the workings of a gold-selling outfit.
Somehow or other they have acquired the means to log on to many (all?) accounts. Database breech? Inside job? Bypass? IDK. Regardless, the people actually logging on the accounts are the same ones working the gold-mining 'bots, meaning they don't know anything about the game and don't care. They have their routine, quickly get all NX and pure meso and whatever tradeable equips the char is wearing (? do other things get taken?), and move down the list.
Yes, that is what I think as well...
Seems like they only want something that have immediate selling value, they might only have little knowledge for the game.
And they don't seems to destroy the character, not like.... deleting your character or do something like that...
All they want is just $$
