Is/Was Kingdom Hearts Re-Coded good? I've played I and II, but was never really able to get into the handheld games.
Normally I think you should only play Re:Coded if you're a big fan of the series (As in you have played 1, 2, CoM, BBS, Re:CoM, Days.) but as a standalone game. . . It is sort of like a retelling of events that happened in 1 and 2 with a little extra thrown in like CoM. If you enjoyed 1 and 2 you'll most likely enjoy Re:Coded as well, but if you're not into replaying 1 with some extra story then stay away from it.
How do the others compare? I've played COM, but I didn't really enjoy the card-based fighting system.
No, it added nothing to the series. It was another Chain of Memories (in that all it did was rehash the exact same things CoM did from Kingdom Hearts 1) except that it made 500% less sense and had the most ridiculous awful plot of all time (and that says a lot considering it's a part of the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise)
It wasn't even fun.
Try Re:CoM if you haven't. It was far better than the normal CoM. Are you looking for suggests on which KH to play? I myself would go with Birth By Sleep first, and if you like that go to 358/2 Days. BBS is on PSP however and I don't know if you have a PSP.
Um, it added that Aqua part, yeeeeeah. . .
Yeah, possible suggestions. I really enjoyed the I/II games, and kind of feel like I'm missing out on the whole experience if I don't play one of the hand-held ones. (Prime reason as to why I've been keeping up with the Pokemon series.) And no, don't have a PSP, and not sure if I plan on buying one, especially if I'm just gonna play one game on it. When summer rolls around we'll see what happens.
Re:Coded is a piece of garbage game. Which is expected, considering its origins are that of a cell phone game. The only thing Re:Coded brought to the overall story of Kingdom Hearts was the hidden video, which in itself has very little anyway. Can just watch it on youtube, and there, you got what you needed out of Re:Coded.
(This coming from a Kingdom Hearts fanboy.)
Aqua had nothing to do with Re:Coded. Even the secret ending was for Dream Drop Distance which was only a brief discussion between mickey and yen sid
I am also a diehard Kingdom Hearts fan. I'm also a realist who can see that most of the story is completely terrible, but I enjoy it in spite of that.
