Judging by that video, it looks like every class has a 5% base critical?

... so anyone want to try out the new defense formula? All you'd have to do is get hit while fully armored, then get hit with everything unequipped as well as take a screen shot of your total defense. It wouldn't be accurate by any means, but it'd give us an idea.
Oh. Looks like in this patch they fixed entrances in some places
I got in Ant Tunnel.
I went down all the way to balrog's sanctuary...Thing is.. I don't think there is a balrog there anymore.
Spoiler
Then I went into Golem Temple.
Yay lvl 20 golems >_>.. I'm liking the new MD though.

More screenshots in there.
@Above, does it matter what monsters?
Ahh I forgot to check how much EXP it gives. I went to try out what Cactuar said.
Heres the results.
I dont think it made much of a difference.
with equips

without everything

I also noticed something strange. Maybe it's because my weps give me +3% DEX.
But this is me without all my equips except weapons
Spoiler
Seems like I get hurt less with weapons. But of course, could've just varied.
Ha! the Balrogs do exist. Both Jr. and Crimson are Level 44? O.o
Looks like Crits are approximately +10% damage. I'm guessing its like that for all classes, except Corsairs/Buccs which explicitly state +20% damage.
God... Doing anything in MapleStory is so freaking confusing now. :S Not knowing where things are makes things a lot harder. I feel like I've started MapleStory all over again (not that that's a bad thing --- doesn't mean it's a good thing, either).
Crits are definitely more than +10%.
Examining the Wild Hunter video the highest Hurricane (Wild Shot, whatever) crits I see are ~3400, while the lowest are ~2100. The highest noncrits are about ~2200 and the lowest are ~1500.
That puts base crit at around +50%.
I don't mind the new towns. Sure, they're smaller, but I think it's an interesting change to make Sleepywood, or the land above it, the central hub of Victoria Island. I do want to see where both of the subway stations go to, and how you get to the swamp though.
R.I.P. L Forest.
Oops, I meant +100% damage, but that seems like an overestimate too. Perhaps it's +50% based on those numbers?
I kinda like the new towns...sure the old ones were big and realistically sized, but it was still annoying to have to walk across those long maps at times.
The new ones have the shops a bit more organized it seems...
And I agree with Russt, it definitely seems like a +50% damage crit.
To kreme:Which numbers in the stat window are defense? =X
