After having issues where they weren't letting me return multiple at once because they were being hand entered, I asked my store manager to come out and help. Before he had gotten there, I realized what the issue was and told him what I think was going wrong. He, in a noticeably aggravated tone, told me he was going to stay there while I finished the transaction so that if there were any more issues he didn't have to come out again. Then he took the receipt from me to read me each number, but because it was a price adjustment, there were a few extra buttons to press in order to get the items entered, plus some of them didn't ring up automatically at the correct price. 15 minutes later we finished, and luckily the customer decided it wasn't worth it to do the other receipt because it took too long for what she would have gotten back. From the one receipt, she only got back $16.
Then about 15 minutes later, when the next cashier came on, my store manager told me to go leave early, which really is starting to piss me off, because this is the 3rd time in a week that I was sent home early. I understand not making sales and all, but you shouldn't punish the employees who need to live and survive off the meager hours they're giving us, especially when the store is being run with the bare minimum of employees as is.
TL;DR: some customers are asses, and manager is a bit of a plantain, and I need a new damn job.
