I specifically said multiple times that I still don't think it was a block as it was flavor with something natural, possibly my role considering the whole "call to adventure" thing (not what the pm exactly says but I'm tiptoeing around the wording and I've been reading a lot of monomyth stuff).

Plus Mas himself said he wasn't even claiming Coldhands.

Also it's worth noting that given verrkol's adamance towards Mas it might be possible that he was the reason for the nokill last night and that Mas was lying about that too.

Why is it Yoshi that you thought and felt so strongly there was a cult in this game? Is it because you're not telling us something such as you are the opposition to said cult? Or it is as simple as you are the leader of the cult and when you tried to gossip to MasPan to recruit him and failed you knew something was up and had to take him out?

Because 1) we haven't had a cult in a while, 2) a cult fits the game of thrones world perfectly, 3) I expect something different like a cult from pie, 4) white walkers make the perfect sense for a cult and 5) I already had said that a lot of things in this game weren't making sense, and a cult sort of explains that.

Also it might just be that that's how pie phrased that sentence for ambiguity, for all we know it could just be like Melisandre. And maybe I'm just not particularly learned about GoT lore but I don't really remember the red god stuff involving converting people forcefully? Plus Mas' pm doesn't say anything about being immune to a cult and why would I as the cult leader go out of my way to bring attention to it?

I think the whole "you thought there was a cult and there might be a cult so maybe you're the cult!" is a bit paranoid and grasping at straws.

To be fair, in the lore, there's not ONE servant to the Red God. There's multiple. You may be overthinking the wording.

The only servant to the Red God that really makes sense here is Melisandre. Considering Stannis is (was) here it's almost guaranteed that Melisandre is as well, especially after MasPan was killed in addition to a regular kill last night. There aren't many confirmed servants of the Red God (in the degree that someone like Melisandre is) that I am aware of, so bringing some random character from a completely unrelated section of the lore into this mafia game makes little sense. Sure, it's still fake and there's still liberties taken, like the fact that Stannis was here before the attack on the Wall actually took place, or that he was here when the internal attack was going on, but even so I would be surprised if Holypie took completely unrelated story elements and mashed them together.

We should really consider how many characters within the lore would make sense to remain.

There are 8 players left, and 15 total. The following are confirmed (because they are dead):
- Three-Finger Hobb
- Stannis Baratheon
- Davos Seaworth
- Varamyr Sixskins
- Mance Rayder
- Donal Noye
- Nameless White Walker (The power of the role implies there is only one here)
- Pyp, because Varamyr could safeclaim as him it makes no sense for him to be a someone's role as well.
- Othell Yarwyck, for the same reason as Pyp.

What's left? Well, if we consider the facts...most of the major characters that we all know are still alive.
- Jon Snow
- Samwell Tarly
- Melisandre
- Ygritte
- Styr
- Tormund

There are still two characters, but there's plenty of Night's Watch characters that we can include in this, like the Acting Lord Commander (I forget his name), and Maester Aemon if Shidoshi is to be believed. One of the wildlings I mentioned might be out because 5/15 is a tad too high of a ratio of mafia vs town, but there's plenty of Night's Watch characters to replace them.

A cult is unlikely, because there's plenty of Wildling characters remaining, and how many important Night's Watch characters remain as well. The only Red God servant that we can logically consider would be in this game would be Melisandre, and considering she's fighting for Stannis, against the White Walkers, there's no reason she would be anything more than a Neutral, at the very most. Most likely Town, because she believes in the prophecy and believes that Stannis fulfills it. It makes no sense for her NOT to be on the same side as Stannis. Even if you want to consider Melisandre as a cult...who would be with her? I don't see a single person cult being a thing, that's basically a Neutral.

As for the players remaining...

@y0y0y0y0shi0; - To be fair, the arguments they made yesterday are fudged at best. I'm not willing to say that I'm certain that they are mafia but I don't trust them, either.
@Shidoshi; - Has been playing terribly aggressive, and making bad arguments. Same thing as y0shi, I'm not willing to say that I'm certain that they are mafia, but I don't trust them either.
@meowmixx; - Has been far too inactive. It's Day 4.
@Olsi; - Same as meowmixx, although a tad more active but not enough, honestly.
@Polantaris; - Is me. I'm town.
@MetaSeraphim; - Has been far too inactive as well, but has said straight out that they kind of lose interest when they have no power and even lost complete track of the game for a while yesterday.
@Salguod; - Same as meowmixx.
@ChaoticCJ; - Has been semi-inactive, but at least is informative when they actually say something.

Three people here are far too inactive and have not been helpful to town at all in my opinion. Meowmixx tends to upvote posts a lot, so we know they're paying attention, but doesn't post a lot. Salguod hasn't done a thing, honestly. I think Salguod is the most efficient lynch tonight. They're a new player, playing excessively safe. I don't think that they're town.

I guess I was thinking more tactically. We all knew at some point MasPan was going to die since someone had the ability to kill him, but his skills in interrogation and support of the town would have been nice for 1 more day. This, of course, was coming from a mindset of before we knew his ability and coming from someone who doesn't know the lore. Either way, it is for the better that he is gone since it has opened more options for certain players.

Unfortunately not everyone, but I trust there are other who are catching references to help build profiles.


To address the cult subject: I have to agree with Polantaris that there seem like there are far to few people for there to be a cult (and someone probably would have either been investigated/died to reveal such information). It is however possible that there is another neutral out there, but given the information we have, they are probably not of a friendly nature to the Night Watch.

I will wait to see what Salguod says, but I am still curious about y0y0y0y0shi0 being hindered on the first night. I am not sure if I asked this before, but could Meta have been immune to your power (or rejected it in some way) and that is the reason you were unable to perform your ability? Also, I think we have ruled out a roleblocker, since no one has made any claims of actions being blocked on night 2 or 3.

I have a bad habit of writing stuff and then not posting it, especially if someone posts before I do and beats me to an observation. So that's probably why I seem really inactive when I actually spend too much time on this game. Case in point, the post I'm quoting is from 5 hours ago now.

I am Bowen Marsh. I am a town vigilante with a single strong kill. I've only seen the show so I had no idea who he was, but one thing on the asoiaf wiki helps make some sense of my ability. When Mas popped up with his invincibility to both lynches and night kills, I thought it was my time to shine and I went for it after confirming with Pie that I can kill him. I suppose I jumped the gun since we apparently have a role just for exposing Mas's weakness.

Well, I'm useless now and if I didn't know who I was, I would also lynch me just to confirm. If these are my dying words, I can accept it. But I want you guys to keep an eye out for Shidoshi and Yoshi. For Shidoshi, I can't believe how long he has survived on that one doctor claim. For Yoshi, I said why not lynch both yesterday and I stand by that.

And considering my ability, I suspect there to be some form of protection on the mafia, perhaps an one time lynch proof Styr or someone.

Yeah, I realized that in retrospect a few minutes after I said it. Thus the "that could've just been the way pie worded it." Just wanted to make sure I covered all bases there! :<

And to be fair to that, I pretty much agree with a lot of what Mas was saying about my arguments yesterday. They were completely exaggerated and stretching the truth. But given the circumstances of the fact that I wasn't able to claim until after people had already cast suspicion on me, I didn't want to risk dying as the cop and possibly pineappleing us, especially after we were relatively poised for victory. If I had been lynched there we would've wasted 2, possibly 3 days, on almost nothing. Although I guess that wouldn't really have been the case given meow's powers. It was...a necessary level of dramatism at the time, I think. Maybe I'm wrong about that and my judgment's just been cloudy these past few weeks.

I'm just calling them as I see them, honestly. I don't remember all that many posts from Olsi, and what I do remember don't say all that much, but maybe that's just how Olsi plays and I'm overthinking it. Meowmixx has attentiveness and agreement, but attentiveness doesn't really say anything at all and agreement can be faked. Granted by my own words it's almost impossible that Meowmixx is mafia. CJ's spoken infrequently, but when he does he usually says a lot.

Even though you would be lynching a townie, I'd like to keep my dignity and not beg for my life. I did what I thought at the time was the best action to take considering the threat of Mas, so up to you guys.

I don't see why the town would have a strongman vigilante kill, just so we could kill townies even if I or VerrKol had protected them? MasPan's case doesn't count as he had Melisandre specifically to counter him as well as only a 1-time protection from NK/Lynch. It seems too specific for there to be one of the mafia with a NK protection when the only alternative for the town to kill at night is a STRONGMAN vigilante, it doesn't even make sense.

Just as for LuvD's case, I don't believe you. I think rather that you are mafia with a strongman kill to counter all the protective roles the Town has + MasPan, you were just unlucky to have used it on Mas on the same night Melisandre worked her magic.

The fac that you agree with polantaris to let meta to do his thing because he says he doesnt have a power is laughable.
I think i might have said im not a fan of posting essays for mafia at one point. Currently i think meta is a good option, should give us some info on why tofuyoshi was blocked on night 1 right?

Salugods strong man kill for the town role also doesnt make much sense. The mafia usually never has a protect type role. Either one seems good
