Unfortunately people are tired of waiting on it. I feel kind of guilty for convincing eos for getting the domain, I was so damn sure it was going to be out fairly soon, but I feel the pay off in the end will be in fact worth it. To this day I have not played a game with the fluidity as great as blade and soul gives.
Google:
OT: I'm disappointed in Google.
The nerve of some people. How could you post something so vulgar on a Maplestory fansite? I'm disgusted that this post even exists. Was Southperry really that out of hand back then? I'm glad I joined after all of that nonsense.
@Eos; tbh if adsense refuses to work for SP then im all in for expiring things in the market to be honest. except for donor status, make the userid effects and such expiring kinda like cash shop items. Alot of SPerricans are heavy cash users anyway so atleast they can help out SP abit ?
No... some how I don't think this would work out at all...
@Eos; About how much would each active member have to donate per month if we wanted SP to stay up?
Really depends on how you define active, but generally $1 each would do it in most circumstances.
We had a whole thread on this subject once before.
That's rather bare bones though, and wouldn't account for trying to pay content providers like Locked, who make a portion of ad revenue as incentive for the service. Or trying to have events with actual rewards.
Where we stand right now;
Google has rejected appeal #5 or 6, still with no further info on what or why.
I've been mining the logs for an answer, trying to determine what they're even looking at that could possibly be causing this, but am at the point of not giving a fuck.
We have enough from our December and January payout to float a bit, and still pay Locked what he's owed for January and cover the mess that February is going to be, so I believe we're going to move to one of the three ad providers I've narrowed it down to and hopefully leave behind the oppression of the Google overlords. It really saddens me that it's come to this. They were once the easiest, the friendlies and the best paying. Now they're extortionists who won't even be bothered to give you their terms.
I feel like your request could be likened to.
"Now that grandpa is dead, can I have his stuff?"
I assume now is not the time or place for this sort of conversation, nor would Eos want to risk going ad-less now or at any point in the future just so people could show off PG-13 photos.
The rules of the new provider are being taken into consideration in making my determination and rules will be evaluated based on what is chosen.
Keep in mind we're unlikely to get any less stringent immediately because the new provider may be less strict but may not be long term tenable as a solution, and if we relax our content guidelines then have to move to another provider who has policies similar to google's we're back in the same position of having inappropriate content we can't find disqualifying us.
If we find a provider that has long term potential and is more relaxed we'll re-evaluate.
so surprising google is such a tight peach. let's hope this goes without a hitch.
Man, where da homie wit da hookups at google at yo? Get this jazz sorted right out yo.
First attempt at a new provider is up and I have a bad feeling about them already![]()
Yeah... I went on southperry and was greeted by an ad which scrolled up to the center and took up over half the screen, and then I had a pop-up when I clicked on this thread.
It's a necessary evil I suppose, but it's a lot more invasive than Google ads were.
That was actually the fault of provider #2.
I just found where that was disable-able and shut it down.
#1 was worse.
It had like nothing appropriate for us.
Not sure this will be any better, but standing by.
