Quick question about AB's dps: what crit rate is being used for it?
Just demonstrating Soul Division on a Dojo Boss; hitting either target will damage the other meaning if you damage both targets with the same skill that is also doubled.
And a fact that really doesn't matter here, if a mob is pushed out of the Bind Area it cannot be binded again during existing the duration and has a 30 second Bind Area resistance when the skill ends. (but damm Bomb Punch is horrible... I always used Spirit Claw for non-PQ grinding anyway)
Edit: I think I also noticed something, since only the original body has the Soul Division mark it seems hitting it alone will apply the 50% damage + damage on the soul but would not affect the other way around. (Pause when I only hit the soul alone with spirit claw)

Normal body takes full damage, but the soul takes 50%
So if you only hit the normal, you will deal 100% to both targets.
If you only hit the soul, you will deal 50% to both target.
If you hit both of them, you deal 150% to both targets, i.e. 1.5x to each.
Oooo Yes, that clears up everything :D
I misunderstood the skill description I guess
JoeTang, I think since FLY patch, we could change the skill tables for Mechanics because I think they can do more damage than that.
Here's my suggestion:
-add the skill table for Rocket Punch since it's spammable and has a good dmg% and etc.
I hope you could tell me what you think about it :) Thanks.
erm JT, i notice that on TB, spamming typhoon (once you reach lvl 150 and got primal bolt) is much faster than chaining thunderbolt +typhoon.
does it deal more DPS than thunderbolt + typhoon?
According to the Skill Chaining Thread, Typhoon attacks at 540ms and Thunderbolt attacks at 810ms. Assuming you're using booster, speed infusion, and a green potion, your speed would be 0, making these delays 360ms and 540ms, respectively. Typhoon on its own has a delay of 1200ms, which would be 810ms with the same speed buffs.
Typhoon on its own attacks at 390% per cast 810ms, meaning you're doing about 480% per second.
Thunderbolt with Typhoon attacks at 280% + 390% (335% average) per cast at 900ms total, meaning you're doing about 372% damage per second
Assuming just for the sake of argument that Link Mastery is a multiplier, which is a best case scenario for the alternating method, you'd then multiply 372% by 1.15, making it 428%
EDIT: I'm stupid, apparently. I have NO CLUE why I thought to take the average. The actual number per cast for Typhoon and Thunderbolt would be 670% at 900ms. This would yield 744% damage per second, which would then be further increased with Link Mastery.
Alternating is nearly double the damage of spamming just Typhoon. I'm not exactly sure why you think it's faster?
IDK i might be wrong, but it does feel faster to me ._.
But the downside of spamming Typhoon or chaining Thunderbolt + Typhoon, you won't get +35% dmg buff from fully charged Typhoon buff & 45% Def Ignore from full lightning charged Primal Bolt.
Sorry i don't have any green MPE pot to test out max speed.
Thunderbolt + Typhoon is a lot slower than what is expected. Maybe the delay cut was changed. Can you check if it's any faster with a different skill? Either way, Thunderbolt + Typhoon is still stronger than Thunderbolt alone.
You mean Typhoon right?
And i notice that if u chain
Typhoon > Thunderbolt or Annihilate > Typhoon, the animation is super fast it even overlaps each other.
But when you continue the chain after the 2nd typhoon, the speed drops significantly.
So because of this, is it better to :
1) Typhoon > Thunderbolt > Typhoon > pause > Typhoon > Thunderbolt > Typhoon
or 2) Just continue the chain, Typhoon > Thunderbolt > Typhoon > Thunderbolt > Typhoon > Thunderbolt, even though the drop in speed.
Here's a video :
I'm not sure if I'm understanding you wrong, are you saying that boostered or unboostered, chaining skills should be the same speed? I can attest that both booster and green potions significantly increase the speed of the Typhoon+Thunderbolt combo.
@Pathologiz; I think chain delays are glitched in MapleSEA. It seems like there's no delay decrease when alternating Typhoon with Thunderbolt. That combo is significantly faster in GMS.
I SEE!! so the speed should remain the same throughout the whole skill chain right? Definitely weird when the speed decrease after the 2nd typhoon.
Anyway @Blunderr, how do you boss with TB? I mean at bosses such as vellum or magnus where u need to constantly move and dodge stuff? cuz chaining skills lock you to the ground. :(
There are three delays, one determining when you can reuse a skill consecutively (spam delay), one for chaining to a different skill (chain delay), and one for determining when you can use a different skill that you cannot chain to (regular delay). It appears there is a bug here though, as having a spam delay would completely prevent the fast combo of Typhoon -> Skill A -> Typhoon. Does using a different skill after the second Typhoon result in the same low speed? i.e. Typhoon -> Thunderbolt -> Typhoon -> Annihilate? Does this happen when chaining any other skills, or does it only happen when you chain with Typhoon? i.e. Thunderbolt + Shark Kick?
From the looks of things, the chain delays aren't being applied correctly when you try spamming them more than once, but there does appear to be some reduction, judging by the first video. Since it's acting like this, I would recommend just using Typhoon as a buff.
It is the case for other skills that their spam delays do not change with weapon speed. It does not appear that Typhoon has a spam delay though.
just tested other combo, Annihilate + Shark kick, Thunderbolt + Shark kick, Annihilate + Thunderbolt, Ascension + Thunder, all fine.
seems like chaining any skills with typhoon will result in low speed.
I tried using different skill after the 2nd typhoon, result in same low speed.
So it's a bug with typhoon's chain delay right?
I think Nexon buffed the recharge rate perfectly ;)
Ever since the patch, not even once did I fail a recharge (even after the bug fix patch and maitenance patch)
So in the end what is the final answer? thundebolt+typhoon, or keeping the 5 counter buff and doing another combo (what combo pls i just don't know).
