Just go for the complete opposite, SourFire pls
It's unfortunate to see so much complaining in this thread purely around the Sweetwater item drop rate. Though it wasn't mentioned specifically, I feel like more people should've anticipated the drop rate going down at some point--that or Commerci becoming unavailable for a time. Furthermore, anyone who's been just liquidating their SW items for low prices this soon clearly doesn't have much foresight considering Nexon's track record.
Quit crying about how it won't be easy to get your equipment--though you'll find fewer, the prices will begin to rise and they'll become more profitable. I went on over seventy trades before finding a single weapon (though I only use the daily 2x or Big Spider), so the drop rate hasn't been that fantastic to begin with, we just have some folks here who luck out or massively stack drop multipliers. A high drop rate helping deflate better equipment is only good for so long, then it starts doing its own damage.
Not saying I've missed the point, Commerci and Gollux have done a lot for me as well--they've been great options for players to obtain great equipment without needing stockpiles of mesos obtained by whatever means. I think a better move than lowering the drop rate would be to impose a drop limit, something that resets weekly, so that players still have a goal they can schedule. Having an idea of when you'll succeed is much more motivating than crossing fingers and hoping all goes well.
Need Black Cipher to be fixed..
GM reply:
Greetings James,
Let me begin by offering my most humble apologies for the delay in response.
Thank you for reaching out to support in regards to problems with Black Cipher. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused and are investigating all options to make it right for our players. Once a resolution is reached, it will be posted on our main site (www.maplestory.nexon.net). Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Take care and have a nice day.
A vision of Christmas future?
Nah... but my Dark Knight still hasn't got a single SW equip. 21 Rosa and 12 Herb Town trips, although I've only been able to kill Livy for about 5 of those, and it's dropped Item Crystals or nothing.
I feel your pain man... item crystals everywhere, Albeit i've only done one herb town trip so far (having gungnir and 100% stance makes Livy a pushover though lol).
That being said, I don't MIND the drop changes (they're still stupid, but I don't mind them so much for weapons; it'll make them more profitable) I just hope they make them common enough that you can still conceivably FIND THEM from Red Grosso and Blue Livy (the armor drop rate REALLY needs to be increased though imo)
Also, I hope they ONLY touch the SW items, and NOTHING else (the way they worded it made it sound like thats all they're doing, but knowing nexon I have the right to be a little skeptical >.>)
Namely cubic blades / chaos cubic blades, cube crafting is actually in a PRETTY okay spot, compared to how it was in part 1 of RED, it could still get better, but its MUCH better than it was.
Thank you BlackCipher's memory leaks, DC-d 3 times in a row doing rien runs... Just hoping for last day's drop.
-ragequit and I'm not touching commerci anymore-
Edit: they should fix this BlackCipher's problem and extending the elevated drop rate of SW equips until 15th Jan.............
I think BlackCipher got fixed O.o
BlackCipher was still doing the thing when I was playing a couple hours ago.
The sc hasn't even happened yet.Originally Posted by TidusLoveYuna

How is that different from any other item?
Smaller servers = smaller FM.
We'll have to wait and see just how much lower the drop rate will be. I figure that if they drop it no more than 10x, it's reasonable. They'll be rare and cost about as much as they're worth (comparing to items with similar clean stats, i.e. fafnir), but it will still be possible to find your own - or something to sell in order to buy your own - even if you're not funded to the gills (as you need to be to get fafnirs).
If they drop it further than that, well, it was a nice event while it lasted.
If they drop it lower and add the items to Marvel Machine or Gachapon...
