I've been playing a bunch of Dragon Nest lately, and I just hit 60, and I've been soloing and pretty much have no Gear what so ever.

Is there a place I could solo other than Abyss dungeons to farm gold or materials for sets?

I'm going to assume you meant 50, and not really. The economy right now is pretty much a buyer's economy - pretty much everything other than certain epic crests, highly enhanced and fully crafted epic equipment, unique sparks, and GDN armor/pants/weapons will cost less than 1k gold. All clean nest epics probably cost less than 200g by now (crafting mats to create them probably cheaper in total).

Right now, you'd want to save up on the following:
- Technique Fragments from the Chaos Rift dungeons. They'll be used to craft new technique accessories at 60 cap. I remember someone made like 30k gold selling like 800 faint technique fragments when 50 cap technique accessories were released.
- Quality Altheum and Diamonds. They'll be used again for 60 cap gear.
- Epic Quality Sparks. They'll be used again for 60 cap gear.
- Goddess Mercy from the daily quests. You can choose to spend them immediately, it's just that you can use them to buy quality sparks of both epic and unique variety. Hell, you could use them to buy unique quality crystal sparks and sell those right now for about 700g, although they used to be worth like twice that about a month ago.

Oh, you also might want to hoard up on dungeon crafting material and corrupted robes to craft titan nest gear. I've gotten certain inside info that says Kali is releasing on the 15th.

Get to level 50 and you'll get some dailies to run (5 total) in Liverwort Marina. You get 3 Mercies per quest as well as +15 PWR, which helps if you're soloing like I do, and after 4 days you get an extra 3 as well as an extra 6 after 7 days (both consecutive).

so just started up dn last week and this is my char so far. Still confused on a lot of things, but i basically get how to gear yourself up and stuff.

And I was a windwalker before and i switched to warden like yesterday... So basically regearing myself up right now ><;;


Friends would be nice and also my friends and i (GM and Crusader) are looking for a group to do sdn and gdn with =p

You need more defence to GDN, otherwise you will get straight up one shotted by a ton of things without the priest buff (theres a lot of things that clear buffs in GDN). Are you using defense crests?

Yeah, no new active skills for 70 cap is highly disappointing, unless the devs are just saying that the level 65 passive and 70 EX are just the skills that will be released immediately upon 70 cap release.

The new Saint's Haven looks awesome. I'm probably going to have a ton of fun incorporating that in my second fanfic.

Oh, SEA is getting 60 cap on the 13th (technically tomorrow for them). It's confirmed that they do not have to obtain EX skill books in order to learn their 60 cap skills (which is something that was noted in the kDN developer conference). Although it brings into question exactly what the point of the Retro Nests would be now. (Furious Mezzanine 3 would still provide wellsprings for 60 cap nests at least.)

Is there any way to make money in this game besides rifts and abyss dungeons? I am in no way strong enough to attempt those now :l

You can farm life-giving-essences on multiple characters, but that requires you to replant seeds every 30 minutes which is annoying if you are doing other activities in game.

I pull in 40-80 LGE a week on my main by just going to the farm whenever some time has passed. Generally after dailys, or nests disband, etc.

As for money making, this is what I do or have done

Merchanting: Market is slow atm but will pick up with kali (speculated this week/tomorrow) and 60 cap (june/july speculated)

Chaos rifts: Level 24 version yields about 200-225g. Level 32 version yields about 250-300g. Level 50 version yields about 400-700g

Farm: LGE is every 30 minutes and sell for 12-15g (can be higher, depends on content e.g. when people start beating GDN HC very often, expect price to rise). Apple of life is every 5 days (When we can use apples in GDN HC, expect price to rise). More alts = more money

Dailys: Get stuff to npc, sell, hold onto. You also get mercies which you can turn in for whatever the highest profitable item is (most likely quality L-grade sparks when GDN hc gets beaten more often

Power level people: Either for drops or drop + a fee

Ladder: Do 10 games every week for a chance at a good plate. More alts = more chances

Also when kali gets released, you can get lucky and try to get a skill plate for her. Any good skill plate for her will probably cost anywhere from 1-7k depending

I don't think those stats are possible for unbuffed, unless the weapons are like +11 or 12 lol.

@babo; You should probably consider replacing your fierce and/or windswept crest (guessing you probably have both based on that massive crit) with a sturdy and/or adorned, you only need 13.8k crit to cap with the archer buff.

And yeah, my corrupted is also suffixed for wind, i have to reset that to wisdom soon =/

also, made an IW a couple days ago and been having a blast with it =p, but i doubt i plan to gear it up til lvl 60 cap is out =/ just my pvp mule for now

I use the Korean voicepack for Kali. The japanese Kali voice is the worst out of the 3 though imo

I have a question. Does enhancing increase base weapon damage as well as giving a enhancement bonus? I noticed that my +10 guardian wand is stronger than a volcanic dragon wand not including enhancements. That doesn't make any sense. o.o

No it doesn't, but a volcanic wand with suffix craft should beat your current wand in base stat.

Hey..do you have to seriously complete the Furious Mezzanine quest in order to pass the paladin advancement for Crusader/Guardian? If so.. I really dont have anyone that could help me with it :/
