Bought my one-way ticket to NYC. IT'S OFFICIAL. 46 days until I'm done with the Midwest for good. Thank GOD. My favorite city, city of dreams, here I come.

Mixed feelings today.
Got this cut's syntax grade which was great, 5/5; but it was also the last class with that teacher, he is one of the best teachers.
He resigned last Friday, because the job he had here wasn't stable enough. It's quite sad because he was great at teaching, classes were fun, but it's also troubling because we might not have another teacher while someone signs up for it. Degree director might be taking over, which could be fun because I've never had classes with her, but it can also be bad... who knows.
I just hope we get a teacher and that teachers resigning doesn't happen anymore, or that much because it's something that might happen. :/
Drove out to the camera store for more film, came back home did some homework went to class etc typical night. I made a really sharp turn tonight and my check engine light came on, hopefully it'll go off soon. >_>
Pro tip to anyone wanting to take Photography, if you work with film be prepared to drop a pomegranate ton of money. I've spent over 600 on this class so far, photo paper and film is nottttttttttttttttttt cheap. ;__;

Stayed in because I was sick today,
My entire class (including me), are hearby now "not even treading water, but you guys are seriously drowning, if you don't bring up your grades" *Shows
Gradebook to see everyone with F's*,
Fight happened between my friends, only to hear about it just now...and now I'm yelling at them with a raspy voice why,
And my band mates have broken Clarinets I need to fix.
...The things that happen only when I'M SICK.
...I'm never gonna be sick again. I'm fearing I bring balance to everyone around me. It's scary.
Oh yea. Then I got around to working on my Hyato and then I ripped a hole in the fabric of southperry.
Only day 3 into my sophomore year and im already worried about how i'll do for my Accounting and Web App Programming(ASP.NET) modules.
Im gonna try to ace Web programming this year since i only got a B+ for Java and Web Client Development last year. >_________>
other than that, theres quite a number of hot chicks and dudes in my classes so yeah ok i'll deal with it
EDIT: i just realised i will be doing business analytics next semester wow pineapple my life.
EEeeee that's so exciting, I'm excited for you! I can't wait till it's my day to move out of the Midwest! I'm sure you will love it there! I've only visted NYC once, but I'd kill to go back.
What kind of photography classes are you guys taking D: that, or I lucked out and spent less than $50 for my digital photography class (camera and course fee aside).
OT:
-My graphics teacher actually LIKED my poster. I'm still a bit in shock about it. See, this is what happens when you let me have some creative liberty instead of having such specific restrictions. I make pretty things.
-Got an email from VIU saying that, "To complete your application, please submit:
-An official copy of your high school transcript in your language and a certified copy translated in to English
-Proof of English language proficiency will be required. Minimum TOEFL iBT: 88, with no sections under 20, IELTS: 6.5, with no band under 6.0, CAEL: 70. (To submit, our TOEFL institution code is 9581.)."
TOEFL is an English as a foreign language test... I'm caucasian, was born and raised in the USA, and the only language I do speak is English. I'm really hoping that taking this test isn't necessary. I emailed them back inquiring about it. If I don't hear back by Thursday, I'll give the University a call on Friday and hopefully settle some things.
Edit: Just got an email back from VIU, no TOEFL is needed, yay. Now I just need all of my transcripts to come in the mail so I can forward them to the school.
I still think NYC is sketchy as hell
it's cold af over here; I would kill to move out west.
E-mailed my third Physics Professor about research.
-facedesk-Doing research in qm as an undergrad is not so easy -- just to get started you need a whole lot of background that is usually covered in grad courses.
Although, this one actually agreed to meet and talk with me on Friday. I'm hoping he can help me work out what labs even look at undergrads.
(on a side note, I want to make friends with this professor. he got his PhD from CalTech, which is currently my top grad school)
My day was![]()
From hell to hope, I'm skyping with roughly half my class quizzing them on basic stuff for Bio. It's weird. I've always considered teaching for quite a while, and look at what I'm doing, haha.
I feel very sly yet I feel like a plantain for quote on quote "skipping Bio" this whole week w/legit reasons. (Yesterday I was sick, and tomorrow I have this band-related thing. On that side-note, I just gave my friends temp. Clarinets. FOR SOME ODD REASON, the screws are so rusted and or just plain old, that it's impossible to unscrew, and the screw itself is degrading.)
Realized some things today.
1. I have been in love for a while
2. Gotta work out to get said girl it seems
3. Dont want to work out just for a girl
4. Have to work out so I can protect myself just in case
5. I hate a lot of people
In that order.
It was pretty great. I have 62/75 for my coursework marks which means I'm guaranteed a pass but I'm going to work hard and get as high of a mark as I can get and some scrounging for Dragon Quest stuff led me to this hilarious parody series called Yuusha Yoshihiko To Maau no Shiro. It's a complete blast and I'll definitely be watching more of it after I'm back from class later.
Talked to a Physics professor (has background working with NASA, his great Uncle was a top science person on the Manhattan Project) who is on sabbatical this semester, and he said if I contact him at the beginning of next semester he will probably have a spot for me in his lab!
His research involves using Kepler data to find exoplanets, using reflected light instead of luminosity fluxes. Something about reading data from the Kepler website into a MATLAB program and visually inspecting the rough data to determine if there might be a planet there, which he then runs that data through a more advanced algorithm. So excited augadhgasdghahdsf
I also found the Society of Physics Students; a bunch of Physics nerds that meet weekly to talk about Physics and have lecturers talk about Physics.
So obviously I asked what the fastest way to join was
Meeting with another Physics Professor tomorrow (PhD from CalTech, went to HS with his daughter), so I hope that goes equally as well.
Then I'm going home for the weekend because I am pineappleing DONE with other people/roommates. It blows my mind that some people can be so pineappleing disgusting and messy and flat out irresponsible.
The last push of the semester is starting off pretty laid back for me.
Really, I have no final tests, since my whole three classes this semester are web design, 3D Design, and Graphic Design I.
-GD Project is basically done, have a mini critique tomorrow. The guy who was in the print lab said he liked my designs ^^
-3D Design final project is an abstract wooden sculpture, and we're given plenty of in class time to work on it.
-Web Design Final deals with Wordpress and PHP. Probably the most painful of the three, but not immensely so
Waiting on my high school and community college transcripts to come so I can send them to VIU. Received an email saying that the deadline is May 10th, which is approaching pretty fast. I think I'm going to have to send the transcripts and other legal documents priority or something just to ensure they get there on time D:
I have some issues with work right now, but whatever pineapple those. Took my test in Cal2 today, went really well so I think. Grabbed dinner and saw an early showing of Oblivion. I really liked it, probably not the best movie and it was a tad long, but M83 did a fantastic job with the score and the plot intrigued me so wuteva would recommend ~ *
Finally compiled and uploaded a 1 year anniversary video for my YouTube. But to do that, I had to go back and download my oldest videos.
It was saddening to re-watch my oldest videos because they contained memories with people I've drifted from.
