It's a laser attack, but it's still a Melee attack and actually uses the weapon, unlike Mihile and Buccs.
Therefore: Yay!

on that note, that attack is one of two, either massively OP, or massively sucky. judging only by that animation, it takes so long to cast that it has to hit some pretty high %'s to be able to make for the lost time, or it's rage-uprising-esque in that it takes so long to cast it's actually bad damage.

At least it has better horizontal range than Rage Uprising

Maybe you can combo in to it, like do two attacks that make your sword red and then use this as a finisher, they just gave the option to charge this up for cases like vellum. Would be kinda cool

I wasn't. Either dawn warriors get a charging skill, or that, or something completely different. Doesn't matter how but it is going to be incorporated into everyone else in some form no doubt.

This is a pretty crappy animation to be honest. You have the giant flame thing slowly falling down to crush the monsters or whatever, but it just -appears- in its complete and full size in one frame after swinging your sword.

It looks like it will flood the screen with a mass of numbers, given the amount of hit animations it's doing here. Given how slow it is, it will need to do this to be able to actually be good. Hopefully it's a Hyper Skill, considering it's called their "Strongest".

Being a Dawn Warrior, I expected more...gold, yellow, light, holy crap.
