    Congratulations @Alilatias!

Dragon Nest Europe closed beta (I can't really call it a closed beta..) started yesterday. Tried it out. Had a lot of fun. I stopped playing the KR version because I'm waiting for the male Assassin class.
There's a closed beta event in DN Europe in progress. Requirement? 8000 concurrent players on the servers. Reward? No CBT wipe.

I didn't take a lot of screenshots, but I've started a Paladin this time. Really enjoying it.

    Spoiler

Did I tell you that the font in the EU version looks great? I love it. Level cap is 40 I believe and I think open beta/commercial service will start with five classes.
Kali data is present in EU. I've seen skill voices, English skill names, UI, partial quest data.

From what I've been hearing, EU will launch with 50 cap. They already have the T4 changes as well.

Looks like the localization style is more in line with SEA than NA. (NA changed the names of almost everything, which makes communicating with people in other versions a bit confusing at times. Hell, most people in NA refer to some bosses by their overseas names instead of the changed name, such as Monta in SDN.)

I think all of the versions have partially translated data for just about everything, some versions getting some data before the others. NA had Kali and 60 cap content in our data since like last Summer I think, and some extractors discovered Desert Dragon Nest equips in NA's data around the same time too (although obviously incomplete at the time), which surprised a bunch of people over at the cDN Freedom forums.

Heh. Thing about Salvation group 1 is that we were literally able to DPS all the way to the dragon without triggering stage mechanics. I wonder if the teams should be reorganized, because it's pretty obvious most of the power is concentrated in groups 1 and 3. I don't think Izzy will let me transfer out of group 1 for any reason though.

Nice ring. I'd spark it for you if it weren't for the fact that I blew through my entire stash of 30+ diamond sparks just trying to get a magic attack potential on my BoS tech ring last month. I think I've got like... 4 more diamond sparks, but all of them are of the quality variety rather than average.

I got that stash of diamond sparks through running West Armory Abyss almost every day, until my PWR ran out. This was when Worn Cogwheels were still going for like 200g a piece (and Clerics freaking needed like 30 to craft all their pieces), before Chaos Rift Kamala/Suffix II dungeons were released. Those fake royal chests in abyss mode spit out a ton of epic sparks. I'd suggest doing that for diamond sparks, especially now that the week long drop event will improve boss drops now as well.

I've been watching this thread for the past couple weeks and I kind of want to start playing again.

I stopped playing when saints haven came out; everything looks so confusing now
What's the most "in demand" class for raids? Should I even bother playing again?

Pretty much anything is in high demand as long as you're well geared now. Ever since the T4 skill changes, every class has something major to contribute to a raid party.

Like Wax said, Paladins and Mercenaries are probably the highest in demand class for raids, although both classes are super gear-intensive. Well geared Archers and Alchemists are pretty rare too.

    ---

Here's what we did at Kalahan. After experiencing full party wipes at this guy during 1x like 7 times in a row, we decided to go with the nuclear option and try DPSing him before he could really do anything besides the long animation Hot Rod. In all honesty, we got really lucky that he decided to only use Hot Rod and Ice Barrier after the first AoE, as both skills are among his least threatning skills. Fire Tornado and Black Hole at the last bar are attacks capable of one-shotting half the team if they got caught in them, usually resulting in at least one or two casualties any time he used them.

Also VGLance (video recorder) is probably the most geared Crusader in the game. ._.

Ice witch is also good if you know what you're doing. Glad isn't a bad choice either nor is sharpshooter. Most of the other DPS classes are too common.

Ice Witches are super gear-intensive too, and I see a lot of highly geared Elementalists in general.

For example, my Ice Witch has 43% FD, 41% Fire Attack, 23% Ice Attack, and 6k base Magic Damage. Considered top 10% in the offensive department.

However, her HP is seriously lacking, it's too low to even consider doing GDN (90k), and trying to bring it up to the advised minimum of 110k+ will cost me an arm and a leg. The only ways I can see myself doing that is either finding a way to get two SDN L pieces for the +240 Vitality set bonus, or enhancing all of her corrupt armor to +10. Both options leave me at the mercy of the RNG in terms of total enhancement cost, or at mercy of the RNG in general, for it'd take me two weeks minimum to get the SDN L pieces, and they both must be armor pieces since I'm already using two +10 Victor weapons for their FD set bonus.

A third option is that I can try replacing her Apocalypse Revelation rings with SDN Brawler rings (which would also result in losing about 13% FD, but she'd gain about 10k HP, 16% Ice Attack, and 800 raw magic damage), but those are worth like 10k each now.

    Alright. Thanks guys!
I'll probably spend another week or two researching mechanics and whatnot while I mess around at the lower levels.

It's kinda funny that Team 4's strategy almost did not change for Stage 2. I just started casting Yumatron at the start in hopes of finding 1 or 2 +Damage% foods, but we don't even need those.

And yeah, as for classes I almost always see L>Tank in party names and whatnot. It's easy to find a DPS class now, but getting a Merc/Priest of some sort (I don't know individual priest roles) is the problem for most random groups. In the case of my Shooting Star (Tinkerer) my job is to cast Yumatron for a sort of backup healing and to use Slip-n-Slide (mostly called Wax) to help priests make it to the geysers on time since they move slowly.

Dragon Nest EU achieved the goal to have 8000 concurrent users on the server. CBT data won't be wiped.
Now I have read from a different forum that there is or was an exploit where some users abused it to gain a lot of gold in little amount of time. The poster submitted a screenshot of the ticket where DN EU acknowledges this exploit.

    Pretty sad...

    2nd try

There we go, the first try involved death-to-black-hole-laser. This one went loads better, especially when I tried out alley-oop for the pillars you gotta break and found it to be far better than my old strategy. Missed only 1 pillar out of the whole set by accident

  17. Default Re: Dragon Nest Social Thread

An easier way for engineers to break the pillars would be to toss stun/gravity grenade on the space between two pillars. If you do that each grenade should be able to take out two pillars at once and then for the final set of pillars you can just use make it rain or chemical warfare. However this only works in normal mode because the hell mode pillars have too much SA/

I use that method, but make it rain has that dumb disappears-if-it-hits-a-wall issue so it takes a bit of aiming and usually chemical warfare is on CD from fighting the bishop, but I try to save it. The nades don't tend to take out the pillars from my experience, but that may just be my aim.

  19. Default Re: Dragon Nest Social Thread

He's correct in using alley-oop. It surprisingly has huge SA break [same with quick/triple shot, whatever it's called] but most people don't have it on their keys. It's also surprisingly really good for PvP (ladder) as well.

Gravity grenade and stun grenade don't have that great SA break. Grav does some but definitely not stun. If you want to get all 9 pillars then you should stall the bishop out so that chemical warfare is available every time.

Does anybody know how expensive Lv. 30 costumes are in comparison with the Lv. 0 costumes?
And could somebody give me a webpage where I can see all costumes that exist in Dragon Nest?
    Thank you.
