I don't know if raising the cap so fast was wise.....there's an awful load of work to do......they have to think up the new 5th job class names (anyone who's saying there's not going to be a 5th job are kidding themselves), new skills for the 30+ classes, (which could take months) and let's not forget that the 'end level content' , although I doubt it's going to be anything decent.
Yes because people who strive to meet their goals always love the work along the way. Please that is a retarded argument, that's why the word "tedious" exists, and is in almost in every game. Plus by your logic the next top 5 will be hackers/ex hackers who didn't do anything but cheat people out of the stop to begin with.
I don't see why everyone is assuming Nexon is just raising the cap without doing ANYTHING else at all... the update info even says this is just the beginning...Nexon might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but they're not idiots. Just wait until more info is given, for pete's sake. <_<;
It would REALLY be in everyone's best interest if you guys would just wait to see what content Nexon decides to roll out with this new cap. You guys are having an argument over your opinions which isn't changing the fact that Nexon IS raising the cap and your complaining about this new cap isn't going to stop it from happening . Don't like it?play a new game. MMO's change. They are built to change. Its the nature of the beast. Instead of fighting about cats and dogs why not just wait and see whats planned to be released with these changes , because contrary to popular belief, Nexon actually does plan out content months before its scheduled to be released.
Big Bang killed golden temple long before the KMS remake did. Once the Exp in GT was realigned to be a standard premium area (mobs only give 10% more exp than other mobs of equal level) then it was no longer worth investing money. The only benefit to training there was that you weren't bugged by other people.
IMO, a more better way of doing things would be like how they did the hyper skills, raise the cap and implement 5th job on a specific group , say adventurers , then move on to the other groups. I don't think that many people would level up purely for the sake of leveling up.
reminder : your opinions dont mean anything.. but go on..
Haha what? Why does the word 'work' exist in a video game? Video games are not a job. Yeah, a lot of games have some level of tedium. But none even begin to scratch the brain-numbingly high level this game sets the bar to. If you're going to set a goal to reach that requires thousands of hours of work that you don't enjoy, why not make it something that gets you more than a picture of your character in some gallery?
And... who cares if hackers reach the top first? Does that really matter? Nobody actually looks at the rankings. Reaching the level cap has and always will be a personal accomplishment.
Well this is just random discussion I suppose. I'll stop here seeing that this in no way will affect MapleStory's future updates and I admit I made a fuss too big over a trivial matter. Let's just wait and see.
P/S: I'm not complaining about the raised level cap, just very interested as in where this goes.
