I don't get where people magically get high HP on all their characters. I have to figure that there's something special going on here, maybe something to do with all that OP gear you guys have (Not trying to start anything, referring to how everyone in GMS has a ton of low level crap that gives insane buffs, or at least did, but if it made an effect on your HP per level gain that effect is still standing). My Paladin doesn't have over 25k HP with full Empress. None of my other characters have over 15k HP. Several are over the 140 barrier. My Kanna has something like 13k with full Empress Set. My Bowmaster, before I deleted it because I hated the, get this, low HP, had under 10k at 130.
I really want to know how everyone in GMS has so much HP, because no character in JMS I've made ever gets as much as everyone from GMS claims to have.
Exactly. Even if you knew death was potentially coming in DQ, there's something you could do about it. Toss all your gold in the bank, don't use items, and when you die, there's nearly no reprecussions (Loss of Gold to revive everyone is way less than half your gold in most situations). If worst comes to worst, you just reset the game (Kind of a cop out, but still the option is there).
Here, there's nothing you can do to prepare, and nothing you can do to avoid it. I remember when I was doing Akyrum for my Cygnus Knight buff, I would die, re-enter, and die immediately again within 5 seconds, before even attacking again, because of that AOE kill or something similar. How is that a fun thing to do? Now with bosses like Empress having 1hkos from map skills is just dumb...and bosses that do all of your health in damage is stupid.
I really think Nexon should hire one of the Castlevania developers. Especially one of the newer DS ones. Those guys have made some of the most interesting and amazing bosses.
