i'll be honest, as cool as that skill looks i hope all the other skills don't have the same motifs, otherwise it will render it unplayable for me, since i won't be able to play it without thinking of this guy:

The design of the thing leads me to believe it could still be a whip, though the stab animation side-view does not. What I mean is, I could see an extension connected by the glowing energy we expect modeled like the Crissagrim Blade already in game. That spear head and repeated pattern in the body somewhat lends itself to that.

I'm pretty sure Ivy's sword is where the Crissagrim Blade comes from. I don't think that sword exists in any other game lore.

All I got to say is that skill looks boring as heck. I find no excitement in creating a field around monsters and then bouncing a ball around to hit them, plus the speed of the animation doesn't promise much for it either.

Yes, but we were all thinking something more along the lines of a lightsaber - especially with the Unlimited update site thingy showing Xenon with a whip-like energy trail behind him.
