3 types, not 3 total skills.
EDIT: As for the upgrade skills. If you've played DFO, there's a system called TP skills that's basically a skill upgrade system. You put TP, a new type of SP that you gain from leveling after a certain level, into an upgrade skill and your regular skill is boosted.
It might be something like that.
Could it be quests that upgrades those skills?
With story behind each class.
First thing I thought of when I read the 3 types of skills and boosting 3rd skills.
Really have to wonder though, how well can it be implemented for lower skills.. In Maple, lower skills(usually attacking skills) tend to be replaced by higher skills (with 1 SP in the higher skill a lot of times). In DFO, lower skills still have their use when it comes to utility and doing combos...

Hyper Skills will only be available for Heroes and Novas. The rest of the classes will have to wait for a later update.![]()

Maplestory is becoming Barbie Online.
I'm curious how this works with Evans. Weren't Evans not changed earlier in this update or am I just blanking on their change? So would Evans be getting hyper skills before they even get their tenth growth or something?
Angelic Buster got more interesting to me. I like the Demon Force system, hopefully it's something similar or better. As for dressing up, whatever.
Is it a full 150 item set or just a few items?
Magnus looks pretty cool as a boss. That attack animation is awesome.

As been said earlier, I now know longer care the least bit about this update.
I don't think you should be too excited about the Hyper skills. By what's been said here, they sound like you can only pick one, and they are either a damage boost, a buff and an ultimate. A damage boost skill sounds like something they could have put in the begginer book, an ultimate has no ways of improving your gameplay whatsoever other than looking pretty and we shall see for the buff.
It would be awesome if Magnus had little hp and all his attacks were dodgable, while players couldn't use HP potions when fighting him in order to make dodging his attacks the main focus of his fight instead of tanking them. This could lead to way more strategies to fight him than the current bosses lend themselves to, not to mention making of this one heck of a thrilling fight.
I've always thought it sux how MS is the only platformer/sidescrolling game where you're not meant to dodge but to tank attacks.
KMST patch:
-New maps added, Helisium. Taken over by Magnus.
-New class, Angelic Buster.
-New boss, Magnus(1~6 people). Skills: Increase mob's def / HP recovery rate decrease / periodically decreases HP value. <Still don't see how unique it's skill is.
